  • What an interesting and underrated fragrance! A super original scent that gets along wonderfully; a rare combination they manage perfectly here. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent; I already have it in my top 10.

Fresh with a bitter touch, of the quality this house always delivers. Although I have others of theirs that I adore more, it remains a very interesting option.

To discuss Auster, one must start with two: whether you’ve heard of Blue Sapphire or not. If you haven’t, Auster smells fresh, spicy, and floral with citrus, and a slightly smoky, woody base that makes it masculine, but the floral and citrus parts make it unisex and very pleasant. It will certainly surprise you and catch attention, because this type of perfume isn’t worn daily, not even in the niche world. The phases are: spicy citrus with salt, fresh woody floral in the heart, and smoky floral at the dry down. If you have heard of Blue Sapphire, the main difference is that the rose in that is swapped for a fresh, green geranium in Auster, so green it almost seems like a rose. Another key point: the dry down in Blue Sapphire becomes slightly feminine, while in Auster there are more woods, making it much more unisex-masculine. Both have that mystical duality between floral and smoky, and between citrus and woody. If you like Blue Sapphire, you’ll enjoy Auster, though it’s not a clone, it follows the same archetype. Performance: 10 hours total, with more projection in the first 4. Presentation: the bottle is excellent, heavy glass, and a powerful, sensitive mist. The box keeps it in optimal conditions, though it’s not a Xerjoff-style case. Price: best value alongside the scent! I got it for under 140 dollars; with that price and quality, it’s a great buy. My favourite from Electimuss!

To review the Auster, one must split it in two: if you haven’t heard of Blue Sapphire, you’ll find it fresh, spicy, floral, and citrusy, with a smoky, woody base that makes it masculine, though the floral/citrus part makes it unisex and pleasant. It will surprise you and catch attention, as this type of perfume isn’t usually worn, even in niche. The phases are spicy citrus on the opening, fresh woody floral in the heart, and smoky floral at the dry down. If you HAVE heard of Blue Sapphire, the difference is that Auster replaces the rose with a fresh, green geranium, so green you’d confuse it with a rose. Another point: the dry down of Blue Sapphire is slightly feminine, whereas here there are more woods, making it much more unisex-masculine. Both have that dual floral/smoky and citrus/woody nature. If you like Blue Sapphire, you’ll enjoy Auster, though it’s not a clone, it follows the same archetype. PERFORMANCE: 10 hours, with greater projection in the first 4. PRESENTATION: excellent bottle, heavy glass, and a powerful, sensitive mist. The box keeps it in optimal conditions, though it’s not a Xerjoff-style case. PRICE: Best value alongside the scent! I got it for under 140 USD; with that price and quality, it’s a great buy. My favourite from Electimuss!

  • This is my fourth from this house: spicy, with anise, cloves, and geranium. Wow, what a lovely scent; at first it seems to have leather, but then it balances out. Grey amber, cedar, and patchouli enter, making it more woody and earthy. It has it all: a spicy citrus that mutates into a woody floral. It’s intense, powerful, and the scent is top-notch; it blew my mind. I see it as super versatile for all year round, perhaps not extreme heat. Beware of the trigger; the opening is pure pyrotechnics. For the office, I spray five times and it lasts until home. It lasts twelve hours on skin, crisp for the first four, then fading but still perceptible. I lean towards it being masculine, suitable for casual or semi-formal wear. It leaves a good impression; it’s elegant and mature. Recommended for over 30 years. Scent 9.5/10, Sillage 9.5/10, Projection 9/10, Longevity 9/10.

Promising at first, but ultimately smells like an ultra-refined car air freshener. I appreciate the bitter, citrusy touch that adds seriousness and freshness, along with the spices that enliven the opening, but afterwards I’m left in a typical green forest. As is often the case with this brand, the performance is very poor. What a shame, as it could have been interesting had it evolved, but it falls apart completely.
