Azul by Rayhaan: Aquatic Citrus Freshness

Azul by Rayhaan is a new men's fragrance launched in 2026, falling into the aromatic aquatic olfactive family. It brings together bright citrus with a woody and marine foundation, creating a clean, refreshing character.

The opening is a lively mix of lime and bergamot, citrus notes that lend an immediate sensation of cleanliness and energy. At the heart, grapefruit blossom contributes a soft white floral nuance, slightly bitter and airy, which smoothly transitions into the aquatic accords.

This fragrance suits men who appreciate a straightforward freshness for casual wear, especially in warmer months. It is also a good fit for those who like aquatic scents but want something less sweet and more understated than many popular 'blue' perfumes.

Azul by Rayhaan is a solid entry in the aquatic fragrance segment. It offers a convincing blend of citrus and woody notes, performs well in everyday situations, and comes at a budget-friendly price, making it a sensible addition to any collection.

  1. I picked this one up for a bargain price of 500 pesos; it smells almost exactly like Citrus Cedro, but with greater projection and longevity. It’s a cracking perfume, with a citrus note to die for, totally ideal for coastal cities or for the office. If you’re thinking about which dupe of Dior Cologne to buy, and your decision is between this and Adolfo Domínguez’s Citrus Cedro, I’d recommend going for the Rayhaan, as long as it doesn’t exceed 40 dollars; if it does, the AD is better.

I tried it for a few days. Even though it’s winter here in Chile and it’s not the ideal season for these citrus notes, I can say it’s an excellent perfume, with citrus notes that are very well crafted and feel relatively natural. It’s not the typical synthetic citrus; it’s very refreshing and smells clean. Rayhaan has made very good perfumes so far, and this is another well-executed one. It has the performance a citrus fragrance should have, with molecules that are much more volatile than others, so don’t kid yourselves about an impossible chemistry like Versace Eros Energy or another in that line. In short, it’s a very good perfume.

Don’t waste your time with this perfume, it’s awful. It doesn’t project at all!! It’s just a personal scent bubble… If you’re looking for something similar and cheaper, buy Citrus Cedro. It smells identical!!

Another pleasant surprise from Rayhann in summer fragrances. A very nice creamy citrus, radiant, and it brings good vibes. Sillage is pretty acceptable and it lasts for more than 6 hours.

  5. A cracking woody-citrus fragrance, with citrus notes clearly present at the opening that then calm down and mingle with woody notes, remaining throughout the perfume’s life. A lovely everyday perfume with a beachy vibe and a warm-weather feel. It smells wonderful, 100% recommended, and a guaranteed blind buy.
