Would I buy it again? I picked it up in California on discount and it hooked me at first sniff: fresh and sweet, though the dry-down left me a bit speechless with that synthetic candy note which didn’t quite resolve. Still, it flattered me quite a bit. I’ve read that it smells like Angel when fresh and Black Orchid when dry, but I can’t confirm that 100%.
This perfume is my favourite: sweet, feminine, and with a mysterious touch. Although some find it masculine, for me it’s the exact opposite; it smells like watermelon and melon bathed in chocolate and caramel. Now it’s hard to find at Zara; here in Mexico it was available for a while but I can’t locate it anymore.
I discovered it via a YouTube video talking about an incense scent and rushed to buy it, sure I’d like it. I grabbed the last stock as it’s discontinued, which is a shame because I love it. The opening has fruity notes, then woods and tonka bean; at times it seems like incense, but on my skin it smells more like wood. It’s sweet and deep. The only drawback, as with all Zara scents, is longevity: maybe three or four hours if it lasts, and the trail is very poor.
The notes say peach, praline and tonka bean, but there’s more to it. It’s a delicious fragrance! It smells of coconut, pineapple, woods and resins, but above all incense. At first it’s strong, perhaps a bit rough due to the sweetness, but a few minutes later the magic begins: soft notes leading to a delicious incense that lingers, unfortunately, only a few centimetres from the skin. That doesn’t matter to me; it’s so delicious and cheap I can afford to use it whenever I want. In English they say it reminds people of Mugler’s Angel, but I have nothing to do with that one (on my skin it smells like cut grass). With Blue Candy… that’s it! Incense candies. I love it.
