Based on what I read, I decided to buy a decant. Although I have many fragrances with toffee, this is the one that smells most like it. At first, I detect tangerine and orange, but when it dries, it’s pure toffee. It smells delicious. Good longevity and moderate trail. I will definitely get the full size.
You’ve come today to take away my desire to own you. I bought it blindly and you haven’t disappointed. It smells of peach and very prominent toffee; I don’t detect woods or flowers. A casual scent, nothing formal, but sophisticated and super chic. Totally recommended. You won’t believe it but I found it on a secure website with a confirmed batch code where 50ml and 90ml have the same price. I didn’t hesitate and bought it before the price rose.
I bought it in a freeshop, ecstatic about the toffee. Until I used it: on my skin it evaporated quickly and only amber, cedar, and sandalwood remained. It gave me a headache and nausea. I regretted it because I paid a lot. I tried again and nothing: my mother uses it and she doesn’t get a headache.
I bought a decant and it arrived today. It smells of toffee and lasts hours. But it’s identical to Paris Hilton’s Gold Rush, which is much cheaper than Bon Bon, haha. Don’t overspend; if you like it, try Gold Rush instead.
It’s not soft; it’s overly sweet, like it gives you diabetes. I like sweet scents but this exaggerates. I imagine a vain girl, made up, attracting attention in the shopping centre.
I’m not sure if mine went off or was defective, but it smells strongly of baby nappies. It’s not mentioned in any reviews; perhaps only I smell it like that, or is it just mine? Very disappointing.
It’s original and addictive for those who smell it alone… nobody told me it smelled spectacular for the price; it’s overrated. I liked it but others didn’t notice. Beautiful coloured bottle, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
I bought it and have several that smell the same: Viva La Juicy Gold, Candy Land, and the Paris Hilton Golden Dress, which is sweeter but on the same wavelength, a sweet toffee.
I love it and it suits me perfectly (I have pH and marten skin, which is very rare), but it doesn’t last. On my skin, it lasts only four hours and is barely noticeable up close, with no trail.
Starts with a sweet tangerine and peach, followed by a creamy, almost balsamic toffee. The trail isn’t wide but is noticeable in the air; it gives me warmth and calm, with nothing synthetic. I love it, though I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again as I have similar ones on my list.
I have a strange fascination for Viktor&Rolf fragrances. The brand basically has three lines (Flowerbomb, Spicebomb and Bonbon) from which thousands of flankers are born, and although they have had others like the magnificent but unfortunate ‘Antidote’ and some high-end ones (their prices are quite high for designer fragrances), without a doubt these three commercial lines are the brand’s axis. Bonbon EDP is a straight-up gourmand fragrance, a very edible caramel, but not repugnant or excessively loud. It’s caramel and more caramel, but not a cheap teenage perfume sweet; it’s a well-structured fragrance, although simple in appearance and quite linear (especially in its dry down). The first minutes are more striking and that omnipresent caramel note catches the orange and peach, enveloping them without letting their fruity or citrus side escape; rather they get caramelised and encapsulated, you know they are there but trapped in that amber sugar and hard, which immobilises them and only lets them be confined fruits. To this is added a neroli blossom that appears through ephemeral flashes. This amber caramel note becomes denser and denser, as if it had a whipped cream filling between buttery and lactonic that makes our mouths water. All this happens in the first 45 minutes to an hour; afterwards the sweetness settles closer to the skin, projecting very moderately and letting those slightly floral nuances of the neroli show with a sweet, shy and almost imperceptible sandalwood. The longevity on my skin is 5 to 7 hours depending on factors. I don’t deceive anyone if I say I wouldn’t mind if it projected a bit more (perhaps it would be too much for many). In summary, Bonbon is a gourmand experience that makes you want it; although simple, it doesn’t feel cheap, or perhaps it’s its bottle in which the master craftsmen of the Pochet du Courval workshop used revolutionary (and patented) techniques to create this beautiful pink bow.
I love it, definitely my number 1. Sweet, lasts a long time on my skin and clothes. Subtle.
A charming and to a certain point sensual gourmand fragrance. Its opening reminds me of an orange peel candy, sugary and intense; the caramel is always present in the background. I think the most notable aspect is its dry down, where the caramel and woods take more prominence, giving a warm and creamy sensation. Its longevity is excellent, about 6-7 hours with a quite perceptible but not overwhelming sillage. Although Viktor&Rolf fragrances are a bit pricey, I consider they are worth every penny, and this is no exception.
On the opening, the combination of peach, mandarin and caramelised orange is very noticeable. I like it, but what I love is the scent it releases when it dries. I’m FASCINATED! It smells of caramel, orange, baby talc and yoghurt. A combination I adore. On clothes it’s delicious, super sweet and feminine. I would definitely buy Bonbon again, it has me in love.
The best V&R I’ve tried, but I thought it would be creamier; it’s something very Juicy Couture, with a touch of talc that gives it another dimension. The scent is rich, it doesn’t smell like what you pay for, it’s like a Juicy Couture with more longevity. Very rich, I won’t deny it. If you’re going for the price expecting the seven-flower scent, no, it’s not new either, but it’s very rich. It reminds me a lot of Poison Girl but without the spice or plasticine, instead a talc. To think about having both. It’s a sweet peach jam and talc; visualise opening the bottle and that typical jam peach smell comes out, plus the talc of a marshmallow and musky. Good sillage, super sweet. Edit: I fell in love and bought it. I hesitated a lot because I have Poison Girl, which is also orange and sweet, but I was tired of its bitter orange. I think this Bonbon leans a bit more towards summer, at least at night, and the sillage smells so good I couldn’t resist. I went home regretting the expense, but opening it… what a treat! How good I am for buying it. Very pretty, just for sweeties: warning, during use I felt things I don’t know where from. At one moment I felt something dark, as if I were wearing L’Interdit Intense, then that went away and the innocent Bonbon returned. Then I felt red berries very present, I thought someone else was wearing perfume and even asked, haha, and no, it was my Bonbon. That still has me wondering; it seems simple but it’s not as simple as their notes declare. It also reminded me of Flowerbomb Nectar for the same characteristic sweetness, a sparkling sweetness that appears and disappears. On one hand the caramel gets tiring, but on the other the little peach relieves and refreshes, giving context as a product. It’s a kind of modern Poison Girl, not spicy, works the same but with other notes.
Simply exquisite perfume. The scent is feminine, tender and very sweet, giving the sensation of a delicious orange caramel. The only ‘but’ is the longevity; on my skin it lasts barely two hours, although it suits me well and I’ll keep buying it until I find a similar one with better longevity.
One of my favourite perfumes, especially for autumn-winter. Among my favourite V&R brands, Flowerbomb and Bonbon are two of my top choices; they stand out and cause love at first sniff, hypnotising me from day one. If you want perfumes that dress you up and turn heads, here is elegance, distinction, sillage and longevity. I dare say it’s one of the few that stays on the skin all day and soaks into clothes. I like Bonbon as a sweet liquor, an un-mass-market scent, despite being gourmand. It’s one of the few brands producing quality perfumes with explosive longevity. Highly recommended.
Totally a gourmand; personally I don’t like them, but with this the story changes. You can tell the quality, it’s not cloying and lasts quite a while, at least until the next day on clothes. On the opening, the most appreciated notes are peach and a bit of citrus, giving a sparkling sweet balance. Over time, the caramel emerges elevated with white flowers, making it more sophisticated, although the flowers aren’t the protagonists, they just add that extra touch. Finally, the caramel blends with woods and sandalwood, resulting in an exquisite milk chocolate scent, very real, nothing synthetic. The quality adds sophistication. You can tell when a perfume is expensive; this isn’t extremely expensive but costs quite a bit compared to others, and in my opinion it’s worth it. Although it doesn’t offer anything new, if you want a balanced gourmand with excellent longevity, this is your perfume. Totally feminine, it feels like a perfume for a classy young woman. I’ve worn it in summer and it doesn’t suffocate, but it would be perfect for autumn/winter.
Rich aroma, but I think the price is a rip-off for how little it lasts and projects. It feels like we’re paying more for the bow-shaped bottle than for the liquid inside.
One of my favourites, super feminine. With Bonbon, I’ve received many compliments from both men and women. On my skin, it opens fruity with sweet mandarin, then settles into vanilla and a delicious caramel. Ideal for autumn and winter, and quite usable for late afternoon/evening in spring. The longevity isn’t the best, but I have no problem reapplying a couple of sprays to prolong its effect. For me, a very balanced gourmand and the best from V&R.
In my opinion, it is one of the best gourmands that exist (they tend to be childish, sickly sweet, or not smell like perfumes); this one combines with flowers and woods and becomes refined (something rare with so much caramel). It opens with orange, peach, and caramel, and when it dries, the caramel intensifies and becomes sweet. The orange blossom and jasmine are barely perceptible but complicate the scent and give it a feminine touch. After hours, the caramel passes into a soft woody and amber phase. Very versatile, suitable for teenagers and women of all ages. A pity its longevity (especially because it is not cheap); on my skin, it lasts five or six hours with moderate sillage. I only have one decant and it is on my wishlist, although the price and longevity make it not a priority.
I love gourmands, but the opening of this scares me. I cannot tolerate mixing peach, orange, tangerine, and caramel; I feel I smell Fanta Orange. I loved the dry-down, but the opening on my skin displeases me. When the jasmine appears, it has an air of Alien, very sensual. Definitely for an elegant evening out. It is a pity, because I love using my gourmands for the office, but this one is too overwhelming. Like Alien, the jasmine and bergamot get on my nerves too much.
I had not reviewed it. I bought it last year thinking of it as a winter scent, always avoiding it because gourmands are unbearable for me and give me headaches. I decided on this one and was amazed: it is extremely elegant, very well made. It opens with a soft, caramelised citrus before moving to something more mature. It is a scent you want to be perceived all day, warm, comforting when it is cold, sweet in just the right measure. It has good sillage and excellent longevity; it lasted about eight hours close to the skin and on clothes until the next day. I use it moderately, spraying the air and passing through it, because it is exquisite and I do not want to overwhelm.
I do not like its opening; to me, it smells like burnt caramel, but when it dries, it is a different story 😍
Delicious. I have a perfume that smells very similar, Yara by Lattafa; they are both gourmet and from the same line.
Oh dear, the headache it gave me. I managed to get a decant because I was dying to try it. Oh no, no. I don’t know if it is the peach with the caramel or what, but I feel a stinging note behind the nose that is killing me. It happens to me with LVEB too.
It seems quite similar to Fantasy, especially in the dry-down. I like sweet perfumes, but this is not my style; the dry-down is jasmine and slightly sweet woods, very sharp. I think it is because of the jasmine; I do not smell much caramel because the jasmine and woods overpower it. A pity, I had high expectations 🙁
A little disappointed with the purchase. Based on the reviews, I expected something sweeter and more potent… As soon as I applied it, I thought there was nothing special about it; it is a common scent with a touch of fresh cologne, suitable for daily wear. When it dries, it feels clean with a woody touch.
It is Fantasy in a super luxurious packaging. The box is incredible, arrives well protected, and the bottle is beautiful. In its dry-down, it is 98% identical to Fantasy. It smells rich; initially it is peach and caramel, then it transitions into an ambered Fantasy. On my skin, it lasts five hours with good projection, and another three hours close to the skin. Worth it for the packaging and the scent, although it is nothing new or different.
My girlfriend wears it and I absolutely love it: it lasts a long time, blending white flowers with caramel for a delicious combination 😍
Smells like caramel water and a bit of amber. They say men like it, I don’t understand why. It’s a sweet scent but nothing more.
Love at first sniff, they gave it to me in December at an exchange and since then it’s one of my favourites. I wear it all year round, but more when it’s cold.
It’s my perfume of choice, I already had two bottles and I’m hunting for the last one because they discontinued it and I don’t understand why, it’s so special. They say it resembles Britney’s Fantasy, absolutely not! I have that one too and I don’t like it. It doesn’t last long, but I love its DNA; if you like very sweet perfumes with a citrus touch, you’ll love it.
It’s one of my favourites. It doesn’t resemble Fantasy (I don’t have it, but I do have a dupe). At first it smells of very marked peach then the caramel comes out with something powdery. It’s super versatile, I wear it in cold weather and in spring/summer for the fruity notes. They say they discontinued it, I hope that’s a lie. It lasts about six hours with good projection.
The scent and bottle are lovely, but it lasts less than a VS body splash. It’s not worth the cost. Of V&R I prefer Flowerbomb or Tiger Lily.
The opening is rich and I love it, but once it dries down it becomes more intense and strong, less fruity. Although it doesn’t last long, it smells delicious and while it’s on the skin I can’t stop sniffing it. I bought it second-hand macerated and I love it; it’s eye-catching, sweet, intense, fruity and sticky, exactly what I’m looking for. The price in stores is high, but I came out ahead with the second-hand purchase.
At first it’s pure caramel, then the peach comes out and over time it becomes the sweetest and most exquisite. I receive many compliments from men and women. It lingers in my wake, though on the skin it disappears after five hours. Nothing like Fantasy.
Looking for something sweet and charming? Forget it. The expectations from the little bottle and the caramel note aren’t met; it smells familiar and generic. Starts fruity then leaves a clean soapy trail that I find odd. Not what I expected from this bottle.
I absolutely love it, smells like caramel with lots of milk, a hint of canned peach, tangerine and soft jasmine. The longevity is minimal, almost a whisper, so it’s not worth the price, but the bottle is gorgeous and I see it for younger people.
It’s one of the richest I’ve tried, but it vanishes in a jiffy 😩.
