Dominique has gone overboard with the tonka bean, vulgarising the scent to the point where it’s not worth it. If you’re looking for a tonka bomb, better look to commercial perfumes where it’s abundant. This doesn’t smell niche and the price is ridiculous for what it offers. The only positive is that it doesn’t last long, because I don’t want to keep smelling like this. The almondised tonka note is the most unpleasant thing that exists, and this is a monolithic scent revolving around that. I can’t tell when I start catching the pepper at the opening or the freshness of the neroli with the creaminess of the ylang-ylang.

The pepper at the start and the freshness of the neroli with the creaminess of the ylang-ylang, I don’t know when I manage to catch them.
But what do we have here? A perfume extract of contrasts. Dominique Ropion, once again, at his feet. Electric, effervescent, spicy, and above all fruity/floral. It’s exquisite at first, like a tropical chewing gum. Then, within a few minutes (no more than two), it changes radically, becoming creamy, sweet, ambered, warm, and enveloping. IT’S A WILD RIDE ON HOW IT CHANGES! This is madness, seriously. You must get one if you haven’t already. What a delight. It’s hyper-versatile; I see it as a signature fragrance for all year round. It suits parties, the office, or a movie with friends. Plus, its development is superb. It lasts about 8 hours on skin and projects like a beast. People love it, and you walk around in a bubble of delicious, indulgent scent. I could eat myself. I think it’s my top 1 of 2024. I didn’t expect it, but… Flower Lust instant crush. That said, the bottle could not be uglier. For the love of God, D’Orsay, fire your designer immediately. What a horrific bottle for such a wonderful perfume. Everything that makes it ugly also makes it good. In summary: Age: Any age, it suits everyone. Unisex, almost perfect. Ultra-versatile. Those contrasts make it shine in both warm and cool climates.
