L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Solid Perfume translates Givenchy's feminine Oriental Floral into something intimate and portable. The fragrance dates from 2020.
The creation is by Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal, built around bergamot and pear at the top, orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine at the heart, and patchouli, vetiver, vanilla and ambroxan underneath.
Bergamot and pear shape a fresh, lightly fruity opening. It feels polished and bright, setting up the floral centre without harshness.
Orange blossom, tuberose and jasmine then take over. Expect a generous white bouquet — radiant, creamy and faintly honeyed, with jasmine keeping it lifted.
Patchouli, vetiver, vanilla and ambroxan form the foundation. Earthy woods and soft vanilla meet a clean amber glow that gives the flowers lasting support.
