Descripción
La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire by Lancôme is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. In its opening, bergamot, orange, and green stems awaken the senses; the heart reveals a harmony of Damask rose, rose, rose water, and iris; while the base settles on ambroxan, musk, woody notes, sandalwood, and moss.

What a novelty? Julia Roberts’ face and the most innovative notes we’ve ever seen. LVEB, VATPS.
It lives up to its name: it smells like a sweet, pleasant rose. It has good longevity and sillage. It resembles the traditional eau de parfum but with more rose, and in the opening you note that sweetness and brightness of orange.
It lives up to its name; it smells like a sweet and pleasant rose. Good longevity and trail. It resembles the traditional eau de parfum a bit, but with more rose and in the opening I sense that sweetness and brightness of orange.
Here is an option for those who can’t stand the original LVEB. It strays quite a bit from the line. I perceive a fairly easy, citrusy and fresh rose, pleasant, ideal for gifting even to someone who isn’t usually immersed in the world of perfumery. It’s a fresh rose. It reminds me of Adolfo Domínguez’s fresh rose water but sweeter and without the moss that Adolfo’s has. It is priced far too high for such a simple perfume. They haven’t innovated at all. If you don’t like rose, stay away from this fragrance. I would buy it if I didn’t have any other favourite rose perfume in my collection, but I won’t because in the end I would reach for others of the same style.
I find it hard to write negative reviews for Lancôme because it is one of my favourite houses and their perfumes work very well on my skin. I am not a fan of the LVEB line at all and I tried this latest launch out of simple curiosity, expecting nothing wonderful or surprising. Honestly, it has left me indifferent. Another rose perfume, absolutely unnecessary, redundant, repetitive and boring. As positive points, the bottle is a beauty and the performance; without bringing my wrist close to my nose, it still smelled six hours later. I would recommend it to devoted lovers of the rose note and to those who collect or like to have all the flakons of this line. As it is not my case because I don’t own any, I found this launch entirely dispensable.
I tried it in a sample and I love it. I hate the original, but this fragrance took a liking to me straight away. On my skin, the rose doesn’t stand out, but rather the citrus notes. It seems a very lovely, cheerful, youthful and sparkling fragrance.
A very fresh, youthful rose for everyday wear. The proposal is good for those who don’t like the original, but they sacrificed the trail; it’s quite soft. My favourite so far is Iris Absolu, although I only wear it in fresh weather.
I tried it on a sample at the store and I love it; I hate the original LVEB, but this fragrance pleased me at first sniff. On my skin, the rose doesn’t stand out; instead, it’s the citrus notes. It seems like a very lovely, cheerful, youthful and sparkling fragrance.
It’s a good option for those who aren’t fans of the classic. However, the scent smells very similar (or identical) to LVEB En Rose, which I already own, so buying this would be unnecessary. Beautiful bottle, but I feel they need to innovate by creating a new perfume, not more flakons of one that already has a thousand versions.
I hate the original LVEB and I absolutely adore this flanker. It is true that it smells very similar to En Rose. They should launch a more innovative line.
I believe Lancôme should stop releasing flakons of LVEB and create something new; honestly, I don’t see any innovative ideas… I tried this without expectations and it turned out great. Nothing new, it’s practically identical to LVEB En Rose minus the raspberry. I love the bottle; if anyone wants the glass, they are welcome.
It’s literally a dream perfume, exactly what I was looking for: feminine and delicate.
Received it as a gift along with a vial of La Vie Est Belle. If you want roses without it being heavy or lady-like, this is your option. It is better than the original, less heavy and more youthful due to that fresh fruity floral note on my skin.
I was looking for something fresh and long-lasting for summer. The seller brought this and I said ‘NOOO, LVEB is strong’. But she told me it was a fresh flanker. I tried and fell in love. It is elegant, citrusy, youthful and light. The citrus notes dominate the top, the heart is roses with dew, not heavy. It settles at the end but cleanly. At the end, only a sweet caramel remains, perhaps ambroxan. Recommended 100% for those who cannot stand the original.
I was looking for something fresh for summer and was recommended this flanker because the original repulsed me. I fell in love at once! It’s elegant, citrusy and youthful, nothing heavy. The citrus notes dominate the opening, the heart smells of wet roses with dew, and the dry down is clean and sweet, like a little caramel. If you can’t stand the original, give this a try, you’ll be surprised. 100% recommended.
Fallen in love, this La Vie Est Belle has truly conquered me.
I loved it! Smells of roses, exactly what I was looking for. 😍
Thank goodness it lacks the praline and patchouli of the original, although it retains its DNA. Smells of roses with subtle iris and sandalwood. It has a sweetness, perhaps from orange or fruit. Elegant and feminine, ideal for rose lovers. The only downside is there are many similar options. Lasts a long time and projects moderately.
If you love roses in perfumes, this is a sure bet. It has a touch of La Vie Est Belle but centred on the flower.
A younger, sparklier rose than its sibling En Rosé, less dusty and more fruity. Lucky, as I feared it might be the same, but I can have both now. I adore LVEB and its derivatives. 🩷🌹
Rose and green, fresh and versatile for day or night, ideal for summer. Lasts a long time for a fresh scent. It is not the original La Vie Est Belle, which is why I bought it. Smells like Polo Sport Woman from the 2000s. Exquisite, feminine and sensual.
Tested with a sample: sounds odd at first, but then it changes. Opens with mature rose and evolves into a garden of pink roses with morning dew. Reminds me of the 2019 LVEB EN ROSE, the most delicious version before reformulation and discontinuation. I will buy it when I can, as that was my favourite.
Bought it for the gift set and the deal, not for the scent. At first, I thought it lacked air, but after a month of storing it, what a change! The roses came out youthful and sweet, like 90s sugar cubes. It smells fresh with a subtle citrus note that balances the sweetness, perfect for spring. Lasts about six hours and the bottle is a work of art. Highly recommended. 🌹🌸🌺
Bought this looking for the original La Vie Est Belle and a free bag, not for the scent. At first, I thought it lacked oxygen, so I let it mature for a month. Upon trying it, boom! Juvenile roses sweetened like sugar crystals, reminding me of the sugar lumps in 90s cafés. Fresh, perfect for spring, with a subtle citrus note that balances the sweetness. Lasts about six hours. The bottle is a work of art. A successful blind buy. 🌹🌸
I have always been a detractor of the original due to that violent iris and extreme sweetness that gave me headaches. The opening seems like sugar on sugar, like desserts for children. Nor am I a fan of citrus, but this flanker surprised me. The opening is citrusy with balanced, fresh bergamot. Quickly, the full rose appears, wet, as in a garden after the rain. As it evaporates, it leaves a soft, elegant iris, without the aggressive hit of the original. Settling into clear woods and deep musk, not ethereal. I love the dry-down: creamy sandalwood with woods and powdery rose, sweet but sophisticated, as if bathed in honey with a touch of orange. Recommended for warm days, a totally different and enjoyable LVEB.
I never tried the classic LVEB nor its flankers, but I was gifted a tester that I could not get off my nose. Not being a fan of sweet scents, I looked for L’eclat (discontinued) and decided on this one for the citrus notes that were supposed to balance the sweetness. Yes, it maintains the sweetness, but the citrus is in the background, very soft. The rose is the protagonist, so if you do not like that flower, there is nothing to do with it. Moderate trail, it does not smell from kilometres away, but it is present. I used only two sprays to avoid overwhelming myself. I will let it macerate for a few weeks, but I already like it: feminine and elegant. Thank goodness it does not have vanilla or praline!
As its name suggests, it is an EXTRAORDINARY rose. My first impression is that it retains the DNA of the classic LVEB from 2012, but it evolves into a bouquet of roses with iris and citrus-woody accords. It is like an explosion of roses with green stems wrapped in iris. It is not a duplicate, but in the dry-down it shares a certain relationship with Lancôme’s Trésor Midnight Rose. If you are looking for sweetened roses, it is an excellent choice.
The opening has a cut grass green note, slightly sharp, but the dry-down is rich. This flanker is to my liking and very different from the EDP. It is sweetly elegant, nothing cloying. The rose is softened, as are the iris and woods. I detect the base ambroxan that fixes well and gives it that sugary/resinous touch. It does not resemble the Rosé, nor Ángel Nova, VGG, Midnight Rose, or Delina, although it shares that sweet aquatic rose. Good longevity, ideal for temperate climates, daily wear, and formal occasions. Youthful and elegant at the same time.
La Vie est Belle is the Lancôme icon that changed everything: before they only made cosmetics and niche perfumes that didn’t take off, until this arrived and became addictive, although many men hate it for being too invasive. Then came the madness of the flankers, and now I have more bottles than similar potions. In my opinion, an icon should not be modified, but well, money talks. In this Rose Extraordinaire, it truly smells of roses; it has lost that characteristic sweetness, I do not detect the iris even up close, and the base is sweetly powdery. More of the same, but the bottle is pretty. Another one with an even longer name will arrive this year.
Well executed and nothing like the traditional LVEB, and how good that it is. Why have more identical perfumes? I acknowledge that the classic is iconic and long-lasting, but it feels mass-produced to me, and the patchouli gives it a slightly old-fashioned air. Rose Extraordinaire has the Lancôme spirit: youthful, fresh roses, as if wet with morning dew. Soft, delicate, and distinct from those mature, metallic roses found in other perfumes. Accompanied by soft woods, a touch of powdery iris, and soapy cleanliness. Without a gourmand or sweet tendency, it is a simple, elegant, and versatile perfume for any age. Delicate, pleasant, and non-invasive. It projects about half a metre and lasts moderately on skin, much longer on clothes. Alongside Crystal Soleil, these are my favourites.
Of all the LVEB flankers, this is my favourite. It has nothing to do with the original; the opening didn’t win me over at first, but it soon became divine and I couldn’t stop smelling myself. What a delight! I sense a touch of baby powder, ideal for any occasion. A simple perfume that guarantees people will say you smell good, without fail. It makes me feel like Narciso Rodriguez Poudrée. I wonder if others experience the same thing.
I confess that my pH did not suit the original Vie est Belle, but this new flanker is a different story. It is rich, feminine, delicate, and elegant (is there anything more elegant than roses?). Of all the LVEB flankers, this is the one I enjoy the most.
My skin didn’t suit the original, but with this new flanker it’s a different story. It’s super feminine, delicate and elegant, what’s more elegant than roses? I enjoy it 100% and out of all the La Vie Est Belles, this is my favourite.
Do I smell medium aldehyde roses? I need to re-test it. For now, it’s a 50/50, but I am eager to continue exploring.
Any flanker of LVEB outperforms the original, and this is no exception: fresh, juicy roses, sparkling citrus, and soft white woods. It is elegant, feminine, and timeless, a true hit-maker. If you hate the original, don’t worry, this is a different world. For rose lovers, Lancôme is the king. It lasts and projects infinitely without being overwhelming.
