Descripción
Lancôme La Vie est Belle L'Éclat L'Eau de Toilette is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion. Its top notes of grapefruit, mandarin, bergamot, tea, and pink pepper deliver a vibrant and citrusy opening. The heart reveals the delicacy of orange blossom, neroli, jasmine, and iris, imparting an elegant and luminous florality. Finally, the base notes settle with the warmth of musk, ambroxan, Tahitian vanilla, and patchouli, closing the olfactive pyramid with a sensual and enveloping finish.

It smells like orange blossom and neroli bath salts, like pebbles in hot water, effervescent. After the opening, the white flowers become a bit harsh, as if you were cutting an orange stem with scissors. By the end, it turns warm and banal, like Calvin Klein’s Obsession Night from 2005. I don’t love it, but it’s not bad. Thank goodness it doesn’t smell like the original La Vie Est Belle.
Ready to be wrong, I gave it a quick try and… WOW! I absolutely loved it. An effervescent opening, floral with light oriental notes. On my skin, it highlights a soft, natural, innocent orange blossom that reminds me of the spring air along the Valencian coast. It’s ethereal, very different from Elie Saab. A good fragrance for a romantic woman, very wearable and with decent longevity, though slightly linear.
Eager to make a mistake, I tried a sample and… HUGE SURPRISE! I’ve loved it. Effervescent opening, floral with light oriental touches. On my skin, it highlights a soft, natural, innocent orange blossom that reminds me of the air along the Valencian coast in spring. It’s ethereal, very different from Elie Saab’s. A good fragrance for a romantic woman, very wearable and with good longevity, though slightly linear.
To begin with, it was a gift and not on my list. It seems very similar to the others, less strident, but it gives me the same toothpaste effect. Therefore, I can’t enjoy it; I just smell a floral shake with sugar. What a pity.
It was a gift I didn’t plan for… It sounds similar to others, less strident, but on my skin it smells like a floral smoothie with sugar. It doesn’t make me enjoy it; it just smells like sweet flowers. A pity.
I’d been waiting a long time for this blend, and it’s exactly what I was looking for: it combines the classic LVEB with the freshness of L’Éclat EDP. Light yet present, it opens very citrusy before giving way to a summery, easy-to-wear version of La Vie Est Belle. I’m already using it and will expand the review soon.

I know it’s not a genius scent, but I absolutely love it: fresh, sophisticated, and very wearable. It opens with citrus notes, a soapy touch, and a powdery nuance that I enjoy. Ideal if you’re looking for something classic rather than exotic. It fades quickly outdoors, but indoors it leaves a medium-to-strong trail. Lasts 7-8 hours. Perfect for spring, summer, and autumn.
I know it’s not an olfactory genius, but I love it: fresh, sophisticated and very wearable. It begins citrusy, with a soapy and talc-like touch that I enjoy. Absolutely stunning floral. It’s like an extract of bergamot and orange peel blended with white floral oils and vanilla, in such a harmonious mix that it becomes unique. (Worth noting it’s not a very natural scent). It’s a magical perfume: citrus opening, floral heart, and a sweet finish. Highly recommended for the indecisive, ultra-versatile, and luminous. Furthermore, I must highlight that its trail is heavy and its longevity can easily reach six hours on the skin, even though it is an EDT.
La Vie est Belle L’Éclat L’Eau is quite lovely and has an air of Vie Est Belle l’eclat. It’s citrusy, fresh, and much lighter than the classic, a good choice if you like sweet citrus and are looking for something less ubiquitous. I found both very similar to the Olympea AQUA perfume, which I adore, especially for the orange blossom note which is exquisite and plays a major role in these three perfumes ❤️
It’s a great option if you like the classic LVEB but it gives you a headache. This more citrusy and floral version, without losing its sweet essence, was wonderful. My twenty-year-old brother said the classic smells like ‘everyone’, but he found this one distinct and lovely. I bought it on offer in autumn, but it’s for spring/summer, so I haven’t used it much yet due to the cold. When it gets warmer, I’ll try it out and update the review.
A great option if you love the classic LVEB but can’t tolerate it or it gives you a headache. In my case, that was exactly the problem; this more citrusy and floral version, without losing the sweet essence of LVEB, is simply wonderful. My 20-year-old brother, who knows nothing about fragrances, barely noticed it on one hand and said the original LVEB is worn by everyone and is very common, but when he smelled the other hand with L’eclat, he said this one is distinct, delicious, and that people will remember you 🙂 I can’t fully judge the trail or projection yet as I bought it on offer in autumn and consider it more suitable for spring/summer, whereas in my country we are in winter, so I haven’t used it much. But certainly, once it gets warmer, I will be testing it and updating the review!
An EDT that stands out from the entire La Vie Est Belle range, which is why I enjoy it. It’s a mature, elegant yellow floral with a restrained sweetness. It reminds me of Flower Eau de Lumière.
I had it tucked away in the wardrobe unused; now that I’ve finally tried it, I say it’s quite different from the original, at least until the base notes, where it’s clear it belongs to the LVEB family. But from the first spray, I wouldn’t think it was from that line: it’s very different, citrusy and fresh, then it turns floral, leaving an aromatic trail impossible to ignore, a delicious fragrance. Good fixative and longevity. Rarely do I opt for perfumes that aren’t sweet or spicy, but I’m not bothered making this exception for L’eclat L’eau. Unfortunately, it causes me a monumental migraine, not a little pain that goes away with aspirin, but a true migraine with temporary vision loss. I’ve learned to hate it as strongly as I loved it. Scent 6/10, Fixation 8/10, Trail 8/10, Price 7/10, instant migraine: 100,000,000/10 🤢🤢🤢🤢 EDIT: 04/09/22 I tried it again with my aunt and my mother-in-law; definitely not for me; in them, the fresh flowers stand out in one and the roses with fruit in the other… but on my skin, it smells like detergent 😱😱😱 I gave the perfume to my aunt and on her it smells exquisite 🥰🥰
I like it, though it doesn’t quite enchant me. It doesn’t resemble Vie Est Belle EDP too closely. It’s citrusy at first, then the orange blossom takes over, before turning sweet. It feels quite strong initially but fades in intensity afterwards, lasting around two hours.
I kept it in the cupboard untried until I remembered it, only to find it’s very different from the original, even in the base notes where the LVEB family signature is clear. From the first spray, it’s citrusy and fresh, then shifts to floral, leaving an impossible-to-ignore trail. It has good longevity and projection. Rarely do I choose perfumes that aren’t sweet or spicy, but I made an exception with L’Eclat L’eau; the pity is that it gives me a monumental migraine—not a slight ache, but one with temporary vision loss. I’ve learned to hate it as much as I once loved it. In them, the fresh florals and fruity roses shine, but on my skin it smells like detergent 😱😱😱. I gave it to my aunt, and on her it smells exquisite 🥰🥰
The opening is powerful and enveloping: green tea with a hint of sweetness, bergamot, and citrus. Once the initial impact passes, it calms down and leaves a scent of bergamot and lemon without acidity, plus a touch of vanilla. To imagine it better, it’s like sitting under a lemon tree with ripe lemons and a vanilla cake nearby. It doesn’t reach being sweet. It’s linear and simple, but very pleasant. I didn’t have faith in this flanker, and it’s very good for quiet days. The trail is discreet and lasts about six hours, after which only the perfumed skin remains.

I know it’s nothing extraordinary, but for me, it has something that I absolutely adore. It’s a bubbly, clean, and cheerful scent that makes you feel great. Ideal for spring and summer, especially during the day. Its trail and longevity are quite good for an EDT. I’ve just ordered the EDP to see if I like it as much. I detect a fresh, clean neroli from the musk, accompanied by a soft sweet touch of vanilla. As it dries down, it stays the same but becomes slightly powdery due to the iris. For some reason, I detect something crisp in it, perhaps nuts or hazelnuts. Anyway, it’s a fragrance I’ll always have as long as I can, because there are rumours it’s going to be discontinued.
I fell in love at first sniff in a store two years ago and bought it on the spot. It’s sophisticated yet youthful, with a citrus opening that is captivating and super refreshing. Although it’s an EDT, it performs like an EDP: it lasts a long time and has a persistent trail without being cloying. As it dries down, it picks up that powdery iris touch, becomes slightly sweeter with the vanilla, and the ambroxan makes its presence felt. I wear it to feel semi-formal in autumn or spring. Out of all the LVEB scents I’ve tried, it’s the only one I tolerate without getting a headache, and I adore it.
It’s an absolute gem, but what a shame they no longer sell it. I’m dying to find a flanker that resembles it most; I can’t locate one and desperately need it back in my collection.
