La Vie Est Belle Soleil Cristal by Lancôme is a chypre floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2021, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion and Nicolas Beaulieu. The top notes unfold with mandarin, pink pepper and bergamot; the heart reveals ylang-ylang, iris, orange blossom and jasmine; while the base notes complete the structure with coconut, vanilla and patchouli.

  • By God, it’s madness; the most elegant coconut scent I’ve ever heard. On my skin, the coconut stands out throughout the entire duration of the fragrance. I really like it.

  • I’m completely smitten with this perfume; I love it! The first impression didn’t impact me, but as I enjoyed it over the days, I ended up loving it. Its opening resembles the classic much, but as the essence develops, luxury made into aroma blossoms on your skin. This is a wonder, a beautifully conceived creation. It’s soft, sweet without being cloying, fine, romantic, neat, it’s everything beautiful you can imagine. I bought it blindly, as I usually do with most of my perfumes, and this was a 10 out of 10. I emphasise that I’m not a fan of the classic LVEB; if you don’t like the classic for its piercing sweetness, you can try this amazing flanker that strays far and surpasses it. Would I buy it again? Yes, it can’t be missing from my collection.

  • They left Vie Est Belle carelessly in an uncapped bottle one summer day very near the sea. Its voluptuous essence evaporated, went on holiday confused with the mist. A midday sunbeam hit, and white coconut juice from the palms gathered on the shore entered the mix. Another fragrance for fruit-sun addicts with a touch of jasmine. The cocktail is ready. This time, I’m going to try it.

  • Incredible! I love this perfume with all my being; I have the original Vie Est Belle and this gives it a thousand turns. On my skin, it feels like super vanilla-coconut (not cloying like the original) and those base flowers, ufff… delicious. People always ask me what perfume I’m wearing; my mother smelled it and said she loves how I smell (my mother isn’t a perfume lover). I adore it; I’d buy it again without thinking. I recommend it 200%; it’s simply charming. It’s a juicy, sweet, vanilla-coconut scent but not cloying thanks to the noticeable patchouli touch; the dry-down is floral but without losing the coconut feel, and finally, it ended up feeling powdery. Unbeatable longevity! It lasts hours and hours. Simply exquisite.

I love LVEB; I bought a bottle a few years ago but had to get rid of it because I couldn’t stand it; I loved it, I longed with all my being to wear it, and I lived with that regret for a few years until this beauty arrived in my collection. It has the DNA of the original but is much more wearable; it has an addictive sweet coconut, its vanilla touch is present but not invasive, it’s perfect, balanced. I’m wearing it in spring and it’s perfect; it has great sillage and longevity, a true gem. If, like me, you couldn’t handle the original, perhaps you can use this; it’s simply beautiful. I love it.

  • It was pleasant to discover that at least one version of LVEB is for me. Being someone who lives by the beach and for whom every year is summer, this perfume has everything I was looking for to accompany me ‘daily’. It’s a completely tropical yet fresh scent and tremendously long-lasting. The first time it was applied to me, besides falling in love with the aroma, it was very gratifying to realise its fixative power on my skin was such that it lasted practically 24 hours, and I insist, where I live it’s hot and humid. Definitely, it’s a well-made fragrance for summer.

Honestly, I was encouraged to buy this version because of the bottle; it caught my eye. Nevertheless, I liked the perfume, even though coconut isn’t one of my favourite notes. Here, the coconut-vanilla blend is so delicious I couldn’t resist; it has a citrus opening and then feels milky. It doesn’t have such a heavy sillage as Vie Est Belle, and even better, it doesn’t have so much patchouli! And yet, it still has its elegant touch. I feel it’s timeless, but I’d love to wear it at the beach. Would I buy it again? Maybe.

  • I bought it blindly due to the coconut and vanilla notes. At first, it smells like a mix of everything, very citrusy; after 15-20 minutes, it becomes earthy with floral notes, then transitions to a sweet yet very soft scent, nothing overpowering.

  • Years of resisting LVEB, I couldn’t even stand near someone wearing it. A few weeks ago, I saw this fragrance on offer on the Lancôme website and bought it blindly. What a surprise; I was fascinated. What a delight; it smells of coconut and vanilla but very elegantly. It’s sophisticated and irresistible. As it’s a limited edition, I plan to get a backup, which only happens if I truly fall in love. I’m definitely joining the LVEB club.

  • Soft citrus opening, very light. After 30 minutes, it’s already coconut with milky vanilla. Lasts approximately four hours. I don’t detect the original LVEB DNA here; it’s not my favourite, but I love that it doesn’t overwhelm the senses.

  • Lunafantastic

I love the opening of this perfume. It is sweet but not cloying. I only receive positive reviews. Personally, perfumes adhere well to my skin and they always end up sweeter than they are. This perfume is a 9 out of 10.

  • karinafernanda.u

It lacks the essence of LVEB; citrus at the start, but it quickly turns sweet, a coconut and vanilla, in my opinion very heavy and they saturate the sense of smell. If you like Lancôme and vanilla perfumes, I recommend the Nuit Tresor NUDE.

LVEB Soleil Cristal EDP. Today it arrived; I was tempted greatly by its price on the official Lancôme website, especially since it’s a 100ml. Sincerely, I thought I would find the classic LVEB DNA somewhere. The truth is I started to like the line when I tried Domaine de la Rose. Exquisite. And very powdery. But Soleil Cristal is pure talcum powder, dust. I smell the vanilla but the powdery note predominates. My sense of smell isn’t that trained, but I don’t find the coconut. Nor do I find the lactonic note. Just powdery vanilla. It has a juicy opening, but when it dries down, it is, precisely, dry. Persistence and trail are excellent, as with the whole LVEB line. It didn’t drive me crazy. I will use it because it is a lovely fragrance, but perhaps I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • josefinaclassique

It’s a bomb. The citrus hits well at the start and immediately a well-defined coconut is felt. Sweet and divine, it doesn’t even seem like an LVEB flanker because I don’t find they share the same DNA; that’s good because almost all LVEB flankers say nothing, they are sweet but without personality, whereas this is the opposite. People compare it to Alien Goddess by Mugler, which I understand but don’t share, as Alien Goddess smells very similar to a Hawaiian Tropic-style bronzer, which I find a bit ordinary considering Mugler’s level; when I tried it, I was disappointed. If you like vanilla perfumes that are delicate, with a citrus touch and a bit of coconut, this is the place. Fixation is tremendous, and the trail is incredible, as always with Lancôme.

  • darlenerock

I bought it blind as soon as it launched without a doubt, since with vanilla and coconut it was impossible not to like it. But guess what happened? I DIDN’T LIKE IT! ha! On my skin, it left an unbearable old makeup scent. I didn’t even reach the dry-down because it was impossible to tolerate that smell. So I recommend testing it first because, in my case, the experience wasn’t the best. It’s too powdery.

  • A fragrance that is sumptuously elegant yet youthful. It lasts for hours and has a wonderful trail. In spring and summer, it reaches its full glory. You can really smell the coconut and the underlying vanilla, with just a hint of citrus at the start that fades quickly. It’s coconut, coconut, and more coconut, but super elegant.

  • VaneSelga

A beautiful, very elegant coconut scent. It’s the first and only La Vie Est Belle I own. I chose it because I know the original’s aroma and the reviews for this flanker are positive. I adore the coconut and vanilla notes, especially combined. I was looking for something gourmand yet elegant (that powdery and ‘makeup-like’ touch) and versatile. It works for summer or casual outings, but it also holds up for gatherings, special occasions, work, and indoor settings. I love it and enjoy using it very much. It puts me in a good mood; sometimes, just for the pleasure of smelling it, I put a little dot on each wrist at home. It has that citrusy, luminous tangerine note noticeable at the beginning. Yes, you must love coconut because it’s the most prominent note. It’s a powdery coconut (coconut-iris) that blends with vanilla and a certain tangerine reminiscence. I’m considering it my signature scent. By the way, it was the first perfume that stopped a stranger on the street to ask for my name (I had already resigned myself to this not happening in real life). That same evening, when I got home, my father told me he knew I had arrived without listening because, from over 3 metres away, the perfume arrived before I did. Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • Deliciously rich, a very sweet coconut with strong presence and a sophisticated touch. I adore it for hot days, the beach, and sunshine. Lasts more than 12 hours.

  • Dani Mckill

I only wanted to try it because of Zenz’s recommendation, and I can say: finally a coconut perfume that DOESN’T smell like sunscreen. It’s beautiful, a vanilla-coconut blend with a soft, charming sweetness, totally acceptable for the heat, not cloying, very feminine and tender. I loved it; I can’t wait to get the original version. It’s now one of my favourites.

  • I like the scent, although I’m not a fan of mixing coconut and vanilla. I would love it if the talcum powder note wasn’t so prominent, as it reaches my throat.

  • FloorPerfumeadicta

When I saw it had coconut and vanilla, I thought it would be a great perfume, but what happened: as soon as I atomised it, I felt the DNA of La Vie Est Belle softened and powdery. Where is the vanilla coconut? I don’t feel it at all. I feel the patchouli and pink pepper all the time. The other notes are absent. The truth is, I expected something else; this fragrance disappointed me, I wouldn’t buy it again; there are better perfumes with coconut and vanilla. Longevity 12 hours, it has great presence. RECOMMEND TRYING BEFORE BUYING.

  • The only thing I feel is the coconut aroma, and to me, the smell of coconut is something repulsive.

  • Vahernandezz

For me, it’s simply the best flanker of LVEB. Delicious, sweet, feminine, and subtle. I feel the coconut, ylang-ylang, and vanilla immensely. It’s ideal for summer because it’s soft, but being soft, it lasts a long time. One of my best discoveries of this year.

  • A good flanker of LVEB; it keeps its DNA lightly and adds a creamy touch of coconut, like cream or sunscreen. As it dries, it feels powdery like makeup. It doesn’t resemble Alien Goddess or Soleil Blanc. Ideal for warm days where LVEB is stifling. Recommend if you want to feel at the beach. Edit: I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again; I used it again briefly and what a delight, the coconut became creamier and I liked it. Strange thing, I used it the same day I met LVEB Iris Absolu; while that feels like LVEB, in Soleil I felt it differently, although as it dries the DNA returns. But I’m in a dilemma because months ago I had an issue with L’Éclat that ruined it for me, and when I used it after 8 hours, it brought back the memory of that terrible flanker which I think has ruined my budding relationship with LVEB.

  • Smells like a lady, patchouli from start to finish with a touch of vanilla. It doesn’t stand out for its smell, only for its trail. What a disappointment.

  • DaviniaTolkien

I understand that scents are infinite, but calling it a ‘lady’s’ perfume (as an insult, are they vampires? If not, one day they’ll become ladies and the joke tells itself)… Then saying it only smells of patchouli and medicinal herbs. I don’t know… I repeat, I know there are nuances, but qualify it so simply as bad? Wow, it only managed to say: pearls were definitely not made for pigs.

  • Smells like an expensive coconut lip balm. What I detect most is iris and coconut; it’s LVEB tropical, the beach shirt, not a sunscreen coconut. If I smelled it blind, I’d never think it’s a flanker of La Vie Est Belle; it has its own personality.

  • Mariposa_nocturna30

I smelled it on blotting paper and liked it, but yesterday on my dry skin it was something else: a smell of old rubber doll or those plastic balls from Chilean supermarkets in the 90s, which is a scent I love. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long on skin and I’d have to reapply, but with the price here in Chile it hurts to spend it, so I didn’t decide to buy it. The scent kills me, but due to poor longevity it’s not up to me.

  • Today I tried this perfume and the first thing I noticed was the coconut and patchouli. Over time, the intensity remained but the patchouli dominated and wore me out. I got home, washed the area, and yet the scent persisted. I didn’t like it at all; it has a vintage vibe, seems like a winter fragrance due to its heaviness, and I can’t imagine it in summer.

  • At first, the bergamot and tangerine explode, but soon they yield to a creamy coconut with vanilla that doesn’t smell like sunscreen. All wrapped in patchouli and iris, the DNA of LVEB. It’s not strong, but I’m finding it hard to get used to that opening note which doesn’t suit me. I tried it for the coconut; it’s sweet for spring, I’m not sure if it’s suitable for summer heat. Edit: I definitely couldn’t take it, it’s too powdery; the talc eclipses the coconut as it dries. It’s lovely, but it’s not for me. I’ll gift it to my mum who adores the original LVEB.

  • What a lovely perfume! I feel this flanker has nothing to do with the original. It has a calm fruity and citrus opening, then gives way to sweet coconut and vanilla. It’s not the luxurious coconut of Alien Goddess; it’s more like coconut lip balm, and I don’t know what note makes it powdery. It’s sweet, powdery, and fruity. I like it all year round, though it overwhelms me in summer. I even perceive it as youthful, like for a quinceañera. The packaging is a dream.

  • bisforbelen

I bought it blind and thought it was incredible. I’m a huge fan of beach fragrances or those that smell like sunscreen, and this is the first time the description was spot on. More than sunscreen, it smells like the Hawaiian Tropic after-sun moisturiser, with a delicious sweet (and fruity) floral note. It’s a 100/10.

  • miosvemaca

I don’t detect the patchouli. It’s sweet and subtle; on my skin it doesn’t last long and has poor sillage.

  • fleur parfumée

It smells of very sweet fruity caramel, with a milky, creamy coconut base, and finally the powdery touch of iris.

  • maregallardo

I didn’t like it. The fruity opening is good, but it quickly becomes super powdery, I suppose due to the iris. I tried giving it a thousand chances and there’s no way. It doesn’t resemble the original. The longevity is brutal; it lasts for days on clothes.

  • Gata De Venus

I like it very much, quite beachy. On my skin, the coconut and vanilla stand out, though they remain powdery.

  • At first it smells citrusy, then you realise it’s LVEB, before fading to leave freshly cut coconut, saltier than sweet, with vanilla and a powdery iris. It reminded me of LNT Nude. I give it a chance when it’s over 20 degrees, as I think the cold kills it. EDIT: It’s hotter now and it’s really shining; the opening is gorgeous, but then that powdery iris takes over the entire fragrance.

  • My favourite LVEB flanker. It’s the only coconut scent I can stand; it smells of real, fresh fruit. It’s super sunny, with an enchanting ylang-ylang. I disagree with those who say it’s subtle—what did they buy?? This projects and lasts like a beast. I wear it in summer (southern Spain) and leave a trail wherever I go. It survives beach showers, cycling, and the gym. If you like coconut, vanilla, and the tropics, this is for you. Pity they discontinued it.

  • It’s a bombshell, nothing like the original LVEB which didn’t suit me. This is a creamy coconut with vanilla, 9/10.
