It’s so, so, so delicious! I tried it because I love the original and I loved it too… And soon I’m off to buy it! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a delicious scent! I bought it blindly and I’m very happy; it’s my first perfume with a salt note and I didn’t know if I’d like it, oh surprise! The blend of salt, roses, vanilla, and musk is soft, delicate, but very rich and distinct from my other perfumes. I sense a bit of watermelon (I know it’s crazy, it’s not in the notes), it’s totally different from the original Idole; in fact, I like Aura more, it’s a bit fresher. I must mention that on my skin, the sillage and longevity aren’t very high, unlike the other Lancômes I own, but I will enjoy it very much because the scent has won me over. I’m testing it in full winter; perhaps it will be different in summer.
What I notice most is a soft, slightly powdery rose, with salt. It’s perfect for spring and summer. It’s lovely and lasts quite well. I’m definitely keeping this one!
It reminds me literally of a floral soap. It’s not heavy on my skin and I see it more for daytime than nighttime. It evokes cleanliness, beach, and summer… The only thing that could be a drawback is that it’s a fairly simple scent, nothing complex or novel. Coming from Lancôme and at its price, I don’t think I would buy it again.
I love this flanker! I feel very comfortable wearing it. The salt note is soft, and mixed with the rose, vanilla, and musk, it makes it a go-to when you don’t know what to put on. I think it can be worn all year round, although I see it more for daytime. A 10/10!
To me, it’s a forgettable perfume: it’s an Idole with fresh rose and musk, with an aquatic and salty touch at first, but with minimal projection and very short longevity (about two hours on my skin). It’s a simple, daytime scent but too soft and lacking charisma. I wouldn’t buy it even if it were cheap, let alone at Lancôme prices. Perhaps it might suit more sensitive noses, but in my opinion, it’s not worth it. If what scares you is the salt, here it is very reduced (far from Olympea or Reveal). Scent 4/10, longevity 2/10, sillage 3/10, value for money 3/10, versatility 2/10, packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy it again? No.
It was my wedding perfume; simply, I couldn’t find anything more romantic. On my skin, it evolves quite a bit; I find it slightly annoying when the rose dominates, but in the end, the vanilla wins. Although it’s very sunny, it seems too sweet for a sweltering summer like this one, so I’ve hardly used it. I’ll keep it for spring.
It’s so simple to describe that it smells like sunscreen: automatic, beach, sun, and salty vanilla. I’m not disgusted by it, but it’s that familiar beach scent we all have, which takes away my desire to buy it. Perhaps if it had been sold as such, with beach advertising, I would have been more surprised. I wonder when to wear it: it’s very informal, doesn’t suit work or going out at night. If I want to smell like sunscreen, I prefer putting on my sunscreen and a normal vanilla spray.
Humid and sticky spring: on my skin, the salt blends with jasmine, then vanilla, becoming earthy; without the salt, I’d say it’s patchouli. Don’t buy it blindly! Test it to see how it evolves. For summer… hmm, I’m not sure. Honestly, it doesn’t seem as hyped as people say. Nowhere near Idole EDP, which is beautiful, delicate, and fresh.
It takes me straight to the beach: sunscreen, sweet lotions, and a delicious scent. I would definitely recommend it for sunny days!
Beautiful fragrance. Cheerful, sunny and slightly salty. For me this should be the ‘Olympea Solar’ and not that insipid thing of jasmine and sugar that PR released under that name. Come on, for me it would be a lovely flanker of Olympea.
When I tried it in the shop I loved that salty aroma, it was what caught my attention most and I bought it. When I got home and put it on again, the roses came out, a bit wilted I’d say. I’m not disgusted by its scent but it doesn’t kill me; it will cost me to finish the bottle.
After 36 years I realise that all the perfumes I adore contain vanilla, jasmine or both. They gave me a sample and I loved it instantly. I bought it two days ago and didn’t know what it reminded me of until I understood. It has a certain ‘something’ very similar to my beloved Organza Indecente 🥰, of which I have very little left (discontinued years ago). I love it and it lasts a long time. I am very satisfied.
I feel it resembles a perfume I’ve already smelled, but it’s not on the list. Seriously, sometimes it reminds me of Flower by Kenzo, but it isn’t; or perhaps a perfume I smelled in my childhood. The truth is, I love it.
I love salty perfumes and this is no exception… Of all the Idoles, this is my favourite so far. If you don’t like roses, you probably won’t like this. It’s the winter version of the original: it loses the initial sparkle and gains the salt (very subtle, so even if you dislike salty notes you might still like it), enhancing the vanilla to make it sweeter and warmer. I’m not a rose fan, but this fragrance is changing my mind. It’s very feminine and delicate, ideal for fresh days, blending perfectly with jasmine and vanilla. On me it has good projection, from moderate to high, and lasts 6/7 hours. I have a decant on my wishlist. To me it’s similar to the original and not worth having both (unless it’s your signature), and out of all versions this is the one I’d stick with. EDIT: I couldn’t resist and now I have it; I like it more and more. EDIT 2: I bought a refill, it’s one of my favourites.
At first it killed me, but now I love it. On me it smells like exquisite salty vanilla. Moderate trail and lasts about 12 hours on my skin.
I hold it in high regard because I bought it specifically for my wedding to have unique memories, so I won’t finish the bottle. If anyone wants decants, write to me.
My favourite Idôle flanker for now. It’s different from any perfume of mine and the original, which doesn’t hook me. Here, they forget the talc and go for gourmand, yet summery. It reminds me of the sea and the beach. Although they won’t say it, I sense solar or aquatic notes. The salt combines perfectly with the vanilla, an exquisite complement. It’s incredible, different from other salty scents like Olympea or Scandal Le Parfum, prettier, more enjoyable and addictive.
The worst fragrance I have ever tried in my life. It smells like a cemetery. Absolutely dreadful.
It has truly won me over; those roses with a salty twist are magical 😉
Generally, I thought the entire Idole line was clone upon clone; I got the Néctar flanker a year ago, but it was more for the iridescent bottle than the scent (super pretty, but not much difference from the original). The whole line is roses and more roses, with vanilla to avoid being too powdery, nothing special… But how wrong I was. Today I tried a sample of Idole Aura and wow, how pretty. It didn’t blow my mind, but it has personality and its own flow. The salt stands out, I have loved it: beachy roses 🏝️, a juicy rose surrounded by sand and sun ☀️ with creamy vanilla touches. It is full winter with 10 degrees and a cold nose, but smelling it on my arm sends me to the beach 🏖️. Very beautiful scent, little evolution on me, but for cold weather it projects well. I suppose in heat it will be a bomb 💣 Scent 👃: 9/10 Longevity 🔋: ❓ Sillage 🌬️: ❓ Bottle 🏺: 6/10 Season 🌡️: ⛱️ Occasions: all day ☀️ at any moment.
I bought Lancôme facial products and received a sample as a gift. Oh my… I fell in love so much that I smelled that little bottle every day just to not forget the scent. Today I finally bought it: it smells sweet and salty, gourmand, like summer. So feminine and delicious. There is nothing in my collection that resembles it, it is a delight.
Exquisite, salty and aquatic roses. A perfume delight.
My girlfriend’s fragrance, exquisite. Full salty rose opening, drying down to an intense but not cloying vanilla. Versatile and sophisticated.
If you are looking for a perfume that genuinely works all year round, here it is. It is excellent, extremely balanced, neither too light nor too heavy. It has the characteristic rose heart of Lancôme, the salt adds a beachy touch, and the bergamot provides freshness. The base notes prevent it from being too fresh. It lasts a FORTUNE on clothes, literally days. It is unique and a people pleaser. Summately balanced and beautiful. The only time I wouldn’t wear it is in summer with intense heat, it could become overwhelming. Otherwise, it is super versatile and feminine. Very girly but with presence. One of the best flankers of Idole.
Try layering with Idôle Nectar; it creates a new and exquisite aroma 🍀
An extraordinary perfume that will pass unnoticed. In my opinion, Idôle Aura beats the original hands down.
I thought I’d never like roses in perfumes until I tried this. I noticed it in-store and couldn’t stop thinking about it until I bought it. The salty note hit me hard, something I’d never smelled before. What a rich combination: roses wrapped in salty vanilla. I love it 😍 The powdery rose dry-down is pure bliss.
In this flanker of Idôle, I find roses wrapped in vanilla and lots of salt, like being at the beach feeling the sand and other people’s perfumes. It feels beachy and summery, then shifts to a clean bath scent and finally intense vanilla. I think it’s original and lovely, but it didn’t blow my mind; I bought it blindly for the price. It doesn’t last long and has little sillage.
Vanilla, sea salt and rose: my summer pick. It projects well, though it doesn’t last long. It’s delicious and pleasant, not fresh but more perfumed and feminine for spring or summer. Perfect with a dress for that super-feminine vibe. The pale coral bottle perfectly reflects the scent.
Love at first sniff. I love it for summer; it smells like the beach to me. Absolutely rich. Unlike others, I see it as quite feminine at the same time.
Horrible, it gives me a headache. There’s nothing youthful about it. I gave it four chances and received two bad comments: one from a child who said it smelled like a hospital and another from a colleague who said it smelled like a very old lady. The rose scent is like a wilting rose.
It became too strong for me, giving me an almost instant headache with just one spray. I went by comments saying it was fresh for summer, but it didn’t seem so to me. I tried it in winter too and it didn’t work either; I perceive an incense smell, I don’t know what it has to do with the notes, maybe the salt. It’s the only Idole I didn’t like. I recommend trying it first. UPDATE: I gave it another chance; two months have passed and this time it’s a beautiful scent of exquisite salty vanilla roses. It’s gorgeous. I no longer sense the odd smell. Here it is summer and it suits me perfectly even with high temperatures.
I love the Idôle line by Lancôme, but unfortunately this is the worst of the ‘flankersteins’ they’ve released. It smells like sunscreen and for smelling like that it’s not worth the price. I find it too basic and forgettable; it failed to captivate despite joining the vanilla-with-salt trend. I definitely stick with the Idôle EDP original, the EDT and the Idôle Néctar.
It smells like room deodorant with a ‘baby’s caresses’ aroma.
I love it… sweet without overwhelming, without being synthetic. Musk without being powdery. Heliotrope without being old-fashioned. Rose without overwhelming or looking like a grandmother. Salt without smelling like food…
It’s a beachy but intense scent, giving the impression of elegant sunscreen. Personally, I find it too strong for spring-summer, and due to the sunscreen smell I wouldn’t wear it in autumn-winter either. I wanted to love it but couldn’t.
Idole Aura was the first Idole I loved. I saw it differently, like a tender talc but with more complexity and brightness… I imagined it for summer with white clothes. After almost a year: it’s fresh from the bergamot and salt, which lingers and evokes summer. The rose is noticeable with heliotrope and musk, giving it a powdery touch. Surprise: it’s not for extreme heat. In my city at 40C it fades quickly, and when it does, it becomes oppressive. It’s odd; it smells of fresh salty roses, shouting summer, but it doesn’t. It’s lovely if it doesn’t exceed 30C, otherwise it becomes heavy. Under ideal conditions (30C or less) it’s a beauty. Delicious scent, elegant, youthful, projects well and lasts perfectly, perhaps 8 hours or more. I’d use it on fresh days and nights (around 24C); it’s not a night scent but works well for a casual outing. Seasons: spring, autumn and not-too-cold winter. Today it’s my favourite Idole. PS: If you’re looking for an Idole for summer, the EDT is ideal. Fresh, clean, luxurious, just try it first because the tea note can be heavy for some. The Idole OG is also excellent for summer.
Vanilla, salt and heliotrope, but I don’t sense anything else… it’s flat and lacks charm. It didn’t speak to me; perhaps I expected more. You can tell it has the DNA of Idole, which I don’t like, but this is softer and more wearable.
I put it on and people ask what I’m wearing. It smells divinely sweet and salty. I love it.
