If you trust amber notes, this is your fragrance. I love it exactly as it is. It has everything I’m looking for: originality, a powerful trail, and 100% oriental character. It opens with a beautiful frankincense rose that fades in minutes to reveal an excellent amber and sweet woods from the union of frankincense and benzoin. The dry down is a lingering trace of woods, amber and patchouli. The trail goes from heavy to moderate after half an hour, lasting another five or six hours in that phase. From there, it drops to skin scent for another six hours. In two words: amber-balsamic. The only drawback is that it’s hard to buy; it’s not widely distributed and I’ve only seen it on Amazon, eBay and John Lewis.
