The opening bursts with lavender and mandarin, fresh and elegant, though at first it might recall women’s fragrances from the mid-2000s, even challenging if not worn correctly. In its evolution, it reveals its true character: a heart of neroli, jasmine, and orchid that adds sophistication, refinement, and an almost private air, as if from an exclusive collection. Gradually, it reveals itself as sweet, modern, and surprisingly unisex. The base, dominated by vanilla and tonka bean, adds warmth, sensuality, and impeccable longevity (10+ hours). It’s not meant to go unnoticed: it has presence and body, but with balance, without falling into heaviness or clumsiness. Libre Intense is ideal for those seeking an aroma with personality, a trail that commands respect, and elegance. Perfect for special nights, events, or for feeling secure and powerful. The bottle, with its golden lines and YSL logo contrast, reflects that tension between the classic and the contemporary. In short, a hidden jewel in the mainstream, designed for bold spirits without gender or fragility complexes. It empowers women and men and confirms that YSL continues to honour its history. Velvet lavender. For a long time, I made the mistake of judging a fragrance by its top notes… and worse, on a dry strip. I learned that this initial impact is merely a door; what comes after is what truly matters. With Libre Intense, I decided to wait. I did not rush. It was during the dry-down where the magic happened: the lavender stops feeling so herbal and begins to feel creamy, enveloping, and sophisticated. Everything around it—the jasmine, the vanilla, the soft spices—does not compete but accompanies it with elegance. This perfume made me understand lavender in a different way: not as a fresh barber-shop note, but as a warm, elegant heart. The jasmine, usually associated with femininity, is presented here as balanced and unlabelled. It does not shout, nor does it bloom excessively. Here, it is part of a blend that feels perfectly unisex, elegant, and characterful. I cannot say it is identical to the original Libre. It feels deeper, more serious, more intimate, yet without losing that DNA. They are certainly sisters, but this one has a more sensual and less explosive air. My recommendation: do not judge it in the first minute. Give it its space and its time, and you will see what it hides. My rating: 9/10

I have mixed feelings. I had high expectations and now it sells a lot in Argentina as winter approaches; it’s exclusive for cold days. The first time it smelled like cheap soap and I was disappointed. I gave it another chance: on me it’s pure lavender, with nothing else, perhaps that lavender gives that clean, talcum-like scent I felt, maybe I’m wrong, I’m not an expert. For some reason, although I’m not a lavender lover, it became attractive to me gradually. I think I’m drawn to the elegance it carries; it’s not the typical cloying sweet gourmand I usually enjoy. Perhaps that’s why I have mixed feelings, but now I don’t dislike it. It’s very elegant and clean. If it helps, Zara’s Golden Decade is a good dupe; I tried both and they are similar. Edit: being amber-based, it reminds me conceptually of Mugler’s Alien.

It’s clearly a floral fragrance that maintains the DNA of the original Libre, but with a marked twist thanks to the orange blossom, which adds a citrusy and clean touch. Jasmine is also noticeable, reinforcing that white flower character. The combination remains feminine, creamy, and enveloping. It’s a distinctive, present, and slightly sexy aroma, but without becoming heavy. It works especially well in autumn and winter because it’s one of those scents that ‘hug’: sweet, floral, and creamy, with the citrus brightness of the orange blossom keeping it balanced. If you like the original Libre but want a more floral, warmer version with a clear prominence of white flowers (jasmine and orange blossom), you’ll probably love this perfume. Lasts around 10 hours on clothes without any problem.

I did a two-spray test on my neck and that was enough; I should clarify that I am not usually a fan of this type of perfume but I wanted to try it. It starts with lavender, then tangerine, and settles on vanilla, which lasts until the next day. As mentioned in the cons, it gives some people headaches; it gave me one within half an hour. The next day it was still smelling, and it even gave me nausea, but as I mentioned, I do not tolerate perfumes with vanilla. Personally, I do not like it; it feels very intoxicating to me. I stick with citrus, aldehydes, and musks, but for someone who loves vanilla and lavender together, I think they would adore it.

It’s pure floral, faithful to the Libre DNA but with a strong twist from the orange blossom that gives it a citrusy freshness. You can detect jasmine, reinforcing that white flower vibe. It remains feminine, creamy, and enveloping. It’s a distinctive, present, and slightly sexy aroma without being heavy. Ideal for autumn and winter because it ‘hugs’: sweet, floral, and creamy, with that citrus brightness that balances it. If you like the original Libre but are looking for something more floral, warm, and packed with white flowers, you’ll love this. Lasts more than 10 hours on clothes without issues.

I bought this because my EDP had run out; it’s an incredibly rich fragrance. I chose the Intense version as people said it was more beastly. I absolutely love it, but I can’t spot any major differences. In Argentina, they are EXTREMELY expensive, along with any other line items and basically any import. While I loved both this Intense and the EDP so much, if I had to pick one, there isn’t much difference… so here’s my advice to you, Argentina’s Libre fanatics: you don’t need to spend on the EDP if you have the Intense, and vice versa. As long as you can afford one, that’s enough.

My girlfriend gifted me this, her signature scent. It opens with lavender and bergamot, super fresh, but then turns sweet with vanilla and white flowers without being cloying. It’s a perfect balance: not a classic fougère, more of a safe bet that everyone likes, but the note quality is top-notch. Lasts about 8 hours and smells good anywhere. It reminds me of my girlfriend: mature, cultured, and elegant. Projection: 8/10, Dry-down: 9/10, Longevity: 8/10, Sillage: 9/10, Versatility: 10/10, Bottle: 6/10, Value for money: 8/10.

Oh, perfume of queens and moonlit nights, your citrus breath awakens the senses, lavender rises solemnly, vanilla burns like a secret lover, and woods seal your destiny. You are a spell for cool climates, a treasure worthy of gods, and although the longevity in my bottle gives more voice to the lavender (which I don’t love), you remain the charm that dresses a sexy boss vibe for whoever carries you.

Definitely my favourite. It has that syrupy or honey-like texture where you float in a cloud. It’s an adult vanilla with lavender and florals; nothing stands out too much. It’s a sexy but discreet woman in a jumper. Ideal for dinners or dates; in the office, you have to be careful not to overwhelm the person next to you. Not for girls or older ladies, best suited for ages 25 to 45.

It happens to me the same as with Burberry Goddess… on my skin, the lavender stands out hugely, a scent I don’t like; it reminds me of a closed car. On the test strip, it seemed spectacular to me, but on me… it leaves much to be desired. One thing is certain, it’s a perfume that women have complimented on me. It smells of lavender, citrus, warm, even slightly spicy.

I tried both the Intense and the regular version, and the Intense surpasses it by far. It smells rich, clean, and with an elegant sweet touch. It’s already on my wish list. It lasts forever; the little paper they gave me soaked the whole room. The regular one smelled strong and just ‘clean’, but with its sweet touch, I loved this one.

I love it; it’s intense yet youthful. You can tell the citrus and vanilla. It has good fixation and longevity, and over time, that sweetness remains without being annoying. Ideal for those who aren’t scared of intensity; my skin is tricky and this stayed true to its notes. It doesn’t smell like a lady, perfect for over 30s.

Well-made, perfect balance between elegant and not cloying. Although I hate lavender on my skin (like in Mon Guerlain, which gives me a headache), it doesn’t stand out here because the base isn’t gourmand. I’ll enjoy the bottle, even though I’m not crazy about restocking it.

Definitely the flanker that smells the best. It is sweet, elegant, and addictive. A blend of lavender and citrus with white flowers, wrapped in a spiced and sophisticated vanilla that changes the perfume and gives it its own personality. A 10/10.
