Osmanthus Nectar by Gucci is a creation from the woody floral musk family, designed for men and women. This new fragrance, launched in 2025, was conceived by perfumer Nathalie Lorson. Its olfactive pyramid unfolds with top notes of blackberry, Guatemalan cardamom and bergamot; a floral and earthy heart composed of osmanthus and tea; and a warm, woody base formed by sandalwood, white cuaba flower and Virginia cedar.

Love at first sniff; I’ll follow up with a detailed review of this masterpiece by Nathalie Lorson, which has already secured a spot in my top 3 of the line. I was surprised by its performance, as the collection tends to be quite subtle. I haven’t tested it fully on my own skin yet, but my partner found it lasted over eight hours, and clothes hanging nearby still smell almost freshly applied. It’s a wonderful, fruity osmanthus with a sophisticated yet playful peach aura, something Bitter Peach by Tom Ford would envy. Of the three new releases, this is my favourite, followed by Fiori di Neroli, with Vanilla Firenze in third place; I thought it would be my favourite given my love for vanilla, but a leather note prevents me from enjoying it at 100%. Bravo on Gucci’s new creative direction; the Guilty Love Edition 2024 scents are also brilliant, and I hope they continue in this vein.

This might be the most niche review on Fragrantica, but it smells exactly like Mariage Frères’ Marco Polo tea, making it ideal for anyone who hasn’t tried that infusion. It’s a beautiful scent, sweet and velvety, with Eastern florals. Warm, yet never cloying. It holds a special place in my heart.
