Fragrantica claims it’s unisex, but it couldn’t be further from the truth: it feels 100% masculine. I often wonder which woman would identify with these descriptions. I’d say it suits people aged 32 to 55; it’s not for teenagers or young people seeking easy compliments like chewing gum. It requires maturity to handle the saffron and liquor, though everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It’s for winter and deep autumn (below 15°C), for the night (between 20:00 and 02:00), of absolute nocturnal intensity. It evolves slowly and heavily. The opening alcoholic and spicy notes are far too strong for the office at 9 a.m. Its home is open spaces at night or well-ventiated interiors; it lasts 9 to 11 hours on skin with extremely high projection for the first two hours (about two metres). It doesn’t ask permission; it enters the room before you do. After the fourth hour, it settles into a personal bubble of an arm’s length, but very dense. Six sprays (heavy use). Do women like it? It’s polarising. Seductive for those seeking classic, robust, and protective masculinity; the vanilla and tonka soften the rough opening. Problematic for those who prefer clean or soapy scents; the smoky leather and alcohol can sound careless or excessively heavy. Low versatility (2/10). It behaves like a niche perfume: not suitable for the gym, nor for dates in small enclosed venues (unless worn sparingly), and it’s a disaster in tropical climates. It’s a collector’s piece for specific moments, not a blind buy or a safe choice.
