  On my skin, it smells almost identical to Very Irresistible because the key notes remain rose and anise, but with a very noticeable touch of fresh mint, making it more suitable than the original for hot, humid days. Among the flankers of Very Irresistible, my favourite is still Electric Rose because I like citrus scents, although I think Givenchy should give us something new instead of reselling the same fragrance with different notes and different bottles (though, thinking about it, they don’t come up with much regarding the design either; they just add details). Overall, Tropical Paradise is pleasant, a very fresh floral essence, good for everyday summer wear, and from my own experience, I’d say it works well in very hot and humid climates: it doesn’t become heavy or evaporate in ten minutes.

  My mother used this cologne in the summer of 2012, and it suits us both equally well. It’s super fresh, ideal for the heat of the Mediterranean coast. I don’t recall the roses dominating; instead, there was that crisp water freshness with the other notes blended in, almost hiding them. I’m not a fan of rose perfumes where the rose is the star, but this is a total hit for everyday summer wear. I was fourteen at the time and looking for fresh fragrances; it seems perfect for that age and for young girls. My mother, who hadn’t reached fifty yet, also enjoyed it and it suited her brilliantly. She started exploring roses after fifty, so that’s something to keep in mind.
