It has the soul of a Baccarat Rouge (or one of its many clones, hahaha, though I haven’t tried the original) but with a brilliant twist. Rose usually sounds old-fashioned and vintage to me, but here it works incredibly well. It projects massively, but it’s a beast: only for autumn, winter, or cool springs, as it’s quite heavy.
I neither like nor dislike it… I feel the notes don’t blend well; there are too many or they clash. The longevity is under three hours, nothing for an ‘elixir’. The Onyx Elixir (the black box one) lasts eight hours or more on the skin, which is strange. It has good sillage and projection, it’s a very good perfume, but don’t buy it blindly.
Rose with white oud, hyper-long lasting and slightly invasive. I recommend it for autumn, winter, windy summers or outdoors without much heat; at +29°C it could work well for a date. The sillage is high and vanilla with roses predominates.
