Descripción

Live Irrésistible by Givenchy is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent. In its opening, the top notes unfold a vibrant combination of pineapple, rose petals, tangerine and grapefruit. The heart of the fragrance reveals the sweetness of passion fruit, the spice of pepper and the elegance of rose. To finish, the base notes offer a warm and enveloping foundation of praline, vanilla, patchouli, amber, musk and iris root.

  • It’s sweet but not cloying (fruity, floral), it has glamour. Longevity on skin is good, on fabrics much better. The trail is nothing. Summary: it’s lovely because it’s refined.

  • I had high expectations for this perfume. When I arrived at the shop, they sprayed it on my wrist and I couldn’t test it properly xd. It’s ultra-sweet; to my taste, it becomes cloying. I wouldn’t buy it, but if you like sweet perfumes, this is a good option.

It has a citrus opening, but once it settles, the sweet pineapple and vanilla come to the fore. It’s very sour and sweet; I can detect the rose, passion fruit, and vanilla on my skin. It’s a bit warm and tropical, like a smoothie of sour fruits. It’s a summery, daytime beach perfume with a moderate trail and poor longevity; it didn’t last more than an hour on me. It left a soft sweet rose and soft pineapple scent, then patchouli and amber appeared. I preferred Blossom Crush. Now I’ve tried it in summer and it became unbearable; it lasted over 5 hours, intense, sour and sweet. With the heat, it became heavy and oppressive.

It’s my next purchase! It smells great, super rich!!! Above all, it feels fruity; the pineapple aroma is the main note and the most noticeable.

  • I recently picked up a sample and fell in love with the scent; it’s beautiful and sweet. If you like fruity perfumes, especially pineapple, like I do, this is a lovely fragrance for everyday wear.

  • Koti l'elixir

I loved its scent! It’s like a sweet praliné with chunks of pineapple 😋 but I haven’t worn it again because my cousin and my sister said it smelled like ‘lady’ or ‘old woman’ :c

  • Sweet and rich, like praliné with fruits. Pineapple and passion fruit dominate with a vanilla base. It’s very rich but a bit odd: the fruits remind me of summer freshness, while the praliné and vanilla are warm and evoke winter. I’m not sure when to wear it; it’s too sweet for summer and too fruity for winter, which complicates things a bit. Perhaps it suits transitional seasons like autumn or spring. Anyway, it’s very rich and quite youthful.

  • Mont_Blue

Very fresh and sweet opening. The patchouli notes are noticeable from the first spray and blend with a caramelised raspberry. It’s an inviting scent, not annoying, but with that typical complexity and intensity, it might be a bit overwhelming in very enclosed spaces.

  • Serenaberecoechea

Indispensable in winter. The fixative and trail are brutal. On my skin, I don’t detect the pineapple, but I do notice the citrus and rose opening which becomes cheerful with a hint of pepper before giving way to praliné, which lasts the longest and stays for hours. I don’t need to reapply; I put it on at 6:30 to go to the office and it’s still there at 17:00. With that vanilla patchouli, it’s a perfume I fell in love with and have repurchased several times. My first purchase was blind… what a hit it was.

  • One of the richest perfumes I’ve ever tried.♥ Sweet but not overpowering, with that mysterious fruity magic that captivates. It’s delicious, delicate, and very feminine *.* The only drawback is the price: the longevity is disappointing. On my skin, it lasts as little as others promise, but this one is gone after just two hours. It disappears like a cheap fragrance, which is a pity because you’d need to reapply. Perhaps it’s different on their brand, but that’s what happened to me 🙁 Apart from that, the scent is hypnotic; I love it♥♥♥

  • Hello, I received it after a blind buy. At first I was surprised, expecting something else. But after an hour it settled and I liked it very much because it’s original and stands out from the crowd. Highly recommended!

  • jazminesyrosas

At first I felt cloyed because I don’t like very sweet fragrances. But then I fell in love with that mix of pineapple and roses. I finished a 30ml bottle and bought the largest size. I recommend it for all ages.

  • I smelled it with a grapefruit and pepper opening, lasting a long time. Then it shifts to amber, patchouli and musk, settling as a men’s perfume. I didn’t like how it settled on my skin.

  • I love the Live Irresistible line: it’s sparkling and youthful without being childish or cheap. It smells of praline, roses and pineapple, sweet but dry and refined. I wear it almost daily.

  • It’s one of the best feminine perfumes: fruity, fresh, youthful, sparkling and sweet without being cloying. Seductive and attention-grabbing, with Givenchy quality. It captivates, lasts long and has great sillage. Ideal for blind buys, conquering, romantic dates or nights out. Works in both informal and formal settings, never fails and receives many compliments.

  • I was gifted it and oh dear… I only detect pepper and patchouli in industrial quantities. It doesn’t smell fruity or floral at all. A pity.

  • AndreaOlivos91

I bought it three years ago and it was one of my favourites for being different and sweet, yet not heavy. Now, for Christmas 2020, my parents gifted me a 100ml reformulated bottle and it smells terribly heavy, nothing like before. It gave me an allergy so I put it away. Does anyone know what happened to this perfume?

  • What a wonderful perfume! Pineapple, praline, roses and patchouli… sweet but sophisticated. It accompanies me all day and is versatile. As I love potent scents, I wear it in summer thanks to the tropical pineapple note, without being a simple splash. I don’t like soft freshies, but for those seeking power, it’s excellent for summer and other seasons thanks to the patchouli. The sweetness is well-balanced.

  • Yamialmuni

I bought it for a birthday and liked it at first, but over time it became unbearable. It’s so overwhelming I can’t breathe; the excessive sweetness turns bitter. It has great sillage and longevity, but it’s not for me. I don’t see a connection to the rest of the Irresistible line; it seems made for an older audience. I wouldn’t buy it again, though it’s good for those who enjoy this style.

  • Smells like ripe pineapple, super fruity and sweet, perfect for summer. At first it gives me a sneeze and feels a bit heavy, but then I absolutely love it. It’s casual, great to wear with light clothing. Lasts forever on skin and clothes. Delicious!

  • Cosmicgirl

It’s very similar to Dior Absolutely Blooming, with that slightly sticky quality they have, but this one is fruity while the Dior is floral. I prefer this of the two, but it wasn’t to my liking; I found it childish and extremely sweet, even though one of my favourites is So Scandal. The pineapple and passion fruit were overwhelming for me, although I acknowledge they are accompanied by the softness of the rose. When it dries, it smells fine and elegant, but still cheerful due to the fruits. I miss that dry-down, but I wasn’t able to tolerate the other notes, and besides, I simply can’t handle pineapple.

  • MissOlores

Givenchy Live Irrésistible: the first from the line I tried and the scent hit me hard. With that bottle, I expected something more floral and sweet, but not on my skin. What stands out most is the pepper mixed with praline over an amber base. It has power; I see it very well for autumn and winter, good trail and longevity. I won’t buy it because although it smells good, it’s not a scent I need in my collection; perhaps I’ll try it again in colder weather.

  • María Jacqueline

This EDP is love and not hate; it’s more of a contradiction. There are days I wear it and I adore it, and other days it overwhelms me. It has good longevity, trail and projection. I use it in spring, summer and autumn.

  • Candycandy40

A delicious sweet fruity fragrance; I really miss the orange with the praline. I recommend it for cold weather because the trail is potent and in the heat it can be overwhelming. Good longevity, lasting 5 to 8 hours comfortably. The sharp touch of pepper is noticeable. A great discovery.

  • I can’t say I don’t like it; on the contrary, it’s not easy to find. I believe it’s discontinued and I searched until I bought it, as its scent reminded me of something I tested three years ago that I couldn’t get out of my head. I highlight three main notes: pineapple, praline, patchouli and amber… from start to finish I like it, but I recommend testing it first. Good longevity on my skin… it’s a beast, over 8 hours on skin and much longer on clothes; be careful with the sprays.

  • It’s delicious, although being fruity, it’s not that simple. It must be worn lightly because if you apply too much, it becomes damaged; it’s very strong and cloying. Sweet to the point of no return; on my skin, what stands out most is the pineapple and the peach. In heat, it’s difficult to handle unless outdoors, and again, few sprays. I recommend testing it several times because the first time it wasn’t what I expected, but then I grew fond of it. Excellent performance, longevity and trail.

  • Cami Beatriz

Very rich and pleasant, sweet yet fresh. Although it is quite sweet, it’s not cloying; it has class. All the notes are felt in their splendour, it has a good trail, is ultra-feminine and lasts quite a while. On my skin, about 6-7 hours, and much longer on clothes; once I put it on my jacket, left it for several days, and when I retrieved it, it still smelled intact – incredible. It’s one of those fragrances that receives plenty of praise.

  • It’s sweet and tropical due to the notes, but extremely spiced. The pepper is very prominent, and when it dries, it becomes woody and spiced, quite unisex. To repeat: yes, it’s sweet and tropical, with a strong citrus phase from the passion fruit (I’m Colombian and know it well, it’s very noticeable), grapefruit and orange. The pineapple brings that tropical sweetness. When it dries, a hint of praline and vanilla accompanies the citrus and fruits, followed by that intense, woody, spiced pepper note that can tickle the nose, hehe.

  • Michelle Patt

I swear, based on the reviews, I thought I’d love it, but it was my most disappointing blind buy. Perhaps the mix of pepper and pineapple is my issue; my nose detects that scent strongly and I dislike it. I perceive it as more spiced than sweet, barely sensing anything sweet in the fruity notes. I’ll give it a chance, but I don’t think it will stay in my collection. I suggest smelling and testing it before buying. It’s not a simple fragrance.

  • geomeun.apyeon

I tested it in-store and it seemed identical to what I smelled: starts serious, fresh and powdery, then turns sweet and nostalgic like Jeanne Arthes’ Amore Mio Forever. Later, it loses the freshness and becomes a milky, coffee scent, just like Floral Shock – think coffee with milk. Ideal for winter, and at the end, red fruits with vanilla remain, reminiscent of Nina Rouge Extra. It’s sweet and lovely; I hope it performs the same in the bottle. It will be the first Givenchy in my collection.

  • Gisselle27

I liked it. It is sweet but refined and sophisticated. The best thing is its longevity, over 8 hours on skin, and its trail is high and heavy. Be careful with the sprays.

  • SugarPlumFairy

I arrived expecting a potent pineapple, but it wasn’t like that. The opening is powdery floral with a bit of fruit, and in the base the praline and vanilla. Nothing more; it is something I have smelled elsewhere. I was led by the reviews and I don’t know if it is my skin, but the pineapple does not exist. I was let down. It is not bad, but it is just another one of the crowd.

  • It is a super sweet gourmand but elegant perfume. It gives me a fruity foot impression because the praline and vanilla envelop the pineapple, orange and grapefruit (highlighting the pineapple). At the base, the pepper is noticeable, making it unique and sparkly. The longevity is insane: over 8 hours on skin and it lingers on clothes for days. I recommend it blindly.

  • MacarenaMaira131

At first it smells fresh and fruity, but it lasts only seconds. Then it becomes heavy; on my skin the amber stands out, it is powdery, talc-like and strong. In the air it is cloyingly sweet. I would use it in cool climates because it suffocates in the heat. It smells different on paper than on skin.

  • I was given free samples of this perfume when buying Revlon highlighters, so I tried it. I am a classic and these fragrances are not for me. It didn’t disgust me, but it tired me; perhaps it is the passion fruit and praline, notes I don’t have in my favourites. I found it very strong, so I diluted it with English cologne. Thus, in my version, I received compliments.

  • It is a heavy fruity opening where pineapple and sweet passion fruit dominate; I don’t detect the flowers, but after a while it becomes heavy, perhaps due to the pepper which remains spicy on skin and clothes. It doesn’t work for me in summer, it overwhelms me, but it is delicious in autumn and winter. The trail is strong and lasts over 10 hours or soaks into clothes for days.

  • SoyGivenchy

Until I met this fragrance, I couldn’t say ‘this is my perfume’. The trail is fantastic. EDP or EDT, but the other versions are not even similar. It’s a pity I can hardly get it; I miss it.

  • For those who believe it is tropical due to the listed notes, IT IS NOT! It is powdery floral, lots of talc and flowers, nothing fruity or sweet. It is too generic, something you have smelled a thousand times with other perfumes. I had high expectations but it is disappointing.

  • To me, it is a sweetly warm perfume, ideal for autumn or spring. On my skin, the sweetness, praline, vanilla and sweet pineapple dominate, perhaps a ripe passion fruit. Rather than pink pepper, I detect cinnamon. I don’t usually buy sweet perfumes, but this felt very warm and not heavy.

  • Live Irresistible smells of fruit and honey, very cheerful and flirtatious; it seems more mature to me than the Very Irresistible line. The lily note jars me, as it smells like burnt caramel on my skin, just like in Brit Rhythm Floral, but the tropical fruits (pineapple and passion fruit) dominate, juicy and honeyed. The projection is excellent, very noticeable and long-lasting.
