A delicious lavender that clashes beautifully with a fine leather, rivalling Shalimar Cologne and reminiscent of a modernised Jicky. The rosemary smells of sandalwood and eucalyptus, with ecclesiastical overtones but nothing dated. I really want it; the performance isn’t the best, but it’s quite economical for a Creed. 8.5/10.

This Creed caught me off guard; it’s the second one I’ve tried after Aventus, and I like it more than I expected. After Aventus disappointed me with its longevity and projection, this one delivers handsomely: it projects well and lasts from morning until evening. The scent is hard to describe; I detect lavender, neroli, patchouli, and vetiver in the base, with no leather or citrus notes. It’s peculiar that every time I smell it, vanilla comes to mind, even though it’s not there; the blend creates that impression. It reminds me of Malle’s Musc Ravageur. I like it and wouldn’t mind owning it, but not at the current price. To me, it’s unisex, leaning slightly more towards masculine.

After Aventus disappointed me with its longevity and projection, this one delivers handsomely: it projects strongly and lasts from morning to afternoon. The scent is hard to describe; I detect lavender, neroli, patchouli, and vetiver in the base, with no leather or citrus notes. It’s strange that every time I smell myself, I’m reminded of vanilla, even though it’s not there—the blend creates that effect. It reminds me of Malle’s Musc Ravageur.
