Niche perfume from Almah Parfums 1948. Balsamic opening with a spicy hint, is it pepper or coriander? It smells of coriander to me, though I don’t quite detect that note. A curious and very fresh opening. The cypress, cypriol, and other ingredients transport you to a damp autumn forest. Gradually it softens, smelling of freshly cut grass, bushes with small fruits, ferns, and mosses. It is pure forest. After two hours it becomes more classic and generic, yet of good quality. Ideal for those seeking something masculine, classic, and fresh with these green notes. Perfumery greetings. Ed: Magnificent for the shoulder season. It’s not a challenge, but the quality is there.
I find it hard to review this as it’s not my usual style; perhaps I’m mad, but it smells of classic lavender, a barbershop, and aftershave. To my nose, it’s like the coriander from Jo Malone, that dry and soapy typical lavender. As I hate lavender, it’s difficult for me to like it, unless it’s worked in a modern way, as in the first perfume. More masculine, ideal for everyday wear if you enjoy classic fougères with lavender. Scent: 5, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7, Value for Money: 5, Versatility: 8, Originality: 5, Total: 6.
A friend passed me some vials of this brand and the Seal of Legends is simply incredible.
