Starts with a potent, talc-like violet, but after two hours, the bergamot refreshes everything. To me, it is winter personified.
As Selene says, violet reigns supreme here. For the price, the longevity is outstanding. Well done, Avon; I love their single-flower launches, and this one does not disappoint.
Bought it today and it surpasses what Fragrantica says. It opens citrusy with a hint of alcohol, but then explodes into creamy, talc-like violets. I don’t detect the patchouli, but rather a vanilla note that softens them, reminiscent of Parma Violetta. It is delicious: fresh yet cosy, innocent and a little coquettish. If you like violets, you will adore it. The only downside is poor longevity and sillage, but at $4 in Argentina, it is worth it.
I am a violet fanatic and found information on this Avon trio. I had few hopes, as it sometimes smells synthetic or nothing like the real thing. The other two in the collection are not good, but this one really shines. It begins with a potent violet, very much in the style of ‘Parma Violetta’. Avon has gifted us a dark violet with a strong opening, balanced with bergamot to temper the sweetness with a touch of acid. The best part comes later: the violet settles, becomes lighter, the acidity vanishes, and the powdery sweetness shines. It is that violet perfume that made the world delirious at the beginning of the last century. The patchouli adds a dark touch that lasts all the time, but does not stand out; the undisputed queen is the violet. Good projection for the first hour, then soft on the skin. Lasts about five hours. Price/quality impeccable. Well done, Avon.
