Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum by Kenzo

It is the quintessential underdog. Nothing to envy from Acqua di Gio D&G or Versace for the heat. Excellent performance for under €40 (60 ml). Very similar to Homme EDT Intense but here the leather base makes it more versatile. Although they are similar they complement each other; they are not redundant so you can have both without issue: the EDT is for summer beach and day; the EDP is more formal and nocturnal. Destined for heat but versatile for spring or autumn. Longevity and trail are vox populi very noticeable. Beware of the sprays. Highly recommended purchase at 100% but not blindly as it moves away from the classic marine scent.

I love that leather mixed with marine scent. I see it more as a fragrance for the evening rather than daily wear or hot days. The first time I tried it I did not like it at all; I was just starting to train my nose but afterwards I wore it again and I loved it.

Gentlemen brief review. After using it since September I say it is a bomb in projection trail and longevity. It stains clothes too much. It is a different scent outside the mainstream (vanillised sweet etc.) and for you to like it you must accept the leather and patchouli. It smells like a man who knows things who solves problems. Worth trying; it is probable that some will like it and others not but it is very good. PS: limit the sprays maximum 3 times or you will have a bad time and so will those around you. Better in open spaces; in enclosed spaces you will have a bad experience.

Hello gentlemen. I made a blind buy and found what I was looking for the heart of the sea. I admire this scent and its history. A few weeks ago I travelled with my partner to a beautiful beach with imposing waves. That afternoon I went to see the sea and by chance the waves dragged a log. I took a photo of my Acqua Di Gio Parfum on that log a memorable image. Something strange: that log wet with salt water transmitted a pleasant and particular scent. Today the Kenzo Eau de Parfum arrived. I applied it and immediately remembered that log but enhanced: wood deteriorated by salt on a powerful herbal earthy and humid base (patchouli). It is exactly what I was looking for. I am 27 years old and only say that this Kenzo EDP is too masculine: unique pure comparable only with another Kenzo. Directed to men of strong character who do not seek validation who know how to converse and care for their appearance. For me it is the perfect perfume. It is not just energy; it elevates the ego pride and manliness. You feel you can handle the world because you carry the power of the sea. You project confidence elegance and high self-esteem. You are complete. If you do not have what is needed to wear a perfume the perfume will lead you astray and you will look bad. On me: Longevity 12h Projection 2h Bubble 4h Skin note 6h Trail 2m (2h). Recommended: Formal and semi-formal events dates meetings. Not recommended: Signature office sports nightclubs. Age: 30 years and above. It will never be missing from my collection; I found this perfume and finally found myself. 10/10 powerful elegant and masculine.

It is a cruel joke that a perfume with such performance cost me only $45. It is a giant wave crashing against a rock, shaking all the swimmers who wanted to enter the sea upon seeing the driftwood it dragged. It has a fascinating performance, an almost invasive projection, and an exaggerated longevity. No one remains indifferent, and the best part (for me) is that it doesn’t fit the current trends. It is that differentiator that says: here is someone who tried something different and succeeded. I love it; it is spectacular in every sense. If you like challenging, marine, and woody fragrances, you cannot miss it.

My partner introduced me to this perfume as her father had bought it recently; I remember smelling that spray on my forearm and it lasted until the next day. I decided to buy it because it had conquered me with just that one spray. The opening reminds me of an extremely juicy prickly pear, as if you were pressing the fruit to your nose (although I think that prickly pear sensation comes from an unlisted fig). Gradually the perfume changes to something more aquatic, lowering the fruity intensity. I consider this Kenzo a very versatile option if you do not overapply in the heat. Suitable for all seasons. It lasts as long as it should, about 7 hours, with a huge trail for the first 3-4 hours, after which it becomes a personal bubble. I recommend it widely for people over 25 years old. My rating is a solid 9.

Review of Kenzo EDP after a year of use. I bought Kenzo last year late 2024. At first I found the opening very strong; there were hardly any marine notes as is generally said. In my case I detected a distinct animalic leather opening with quite powerful and imposing woody notes. I don’t want to say it smelled bad but the opening seemed very intense and slightly confusing. I bought a deal with two 110ml bottles so I kept the other one and would leave it open occasionally to let it breathe while using the first; this one didn’t change as drastically perhaps the opening softened a bit but it still wasn’t entirely pleasant. Well a few days ago I opened the second bottle started using it and everything changed. It takes me to a marine plane at first letting the leather notes come out much faster than before but it’s not such an animalic leather; rather it’s elegant soft with distinct touches of sophistication. Although the opening is somewhat potent it is very pleasant compared to the previous one. In its dry down it leaves me with leather and woods with very good longevity; if I put it on clothes it washes out but when I iron them it smells like Kenzo. The truth is I would clearly buy it again. It is a very good option for open spaces it has excellent projection and people like it. Yes it suits dressing up well as the perfume evokes elegance distinction and seeks character. It is what a gentleman would wear so one must dress accordingly. I think it is highly recommended. It was my first perfume I bought it blind and purchased two bottles; the truth is I don’t regret it despite it being a slightly crazy decision. That is my review a super good experience. If I can I will buy another bottle. And right at this moment I am going for a couple of sprays 🤤 before bed haha.

Gentlemen, this is an atomic bomb. If I put it on my hand, it lasts 36 hours, even though I wash it several times a day. On clothes, it lasts for weeks. It is a dark marine scent, super masculine, like those walks through the port on a summer night. I tested it in the store and initially did not like it; I sprayed it on my hand and went to the gym; after 30 minutes, once dry, I could not stop smelling it. I was on the treadmill and blasts were coming from my hand. Dark but fresh. The next day I tested it again and it was the same. The third time I finally bought it. Sometimes it causes a bit of olfactory fatigue; it is not for daily use because you can end up detesting it, as you are smelling it all day. As for projection, it is beast mode; when I wear it to the office (with just two sprays), my colleagues compliment me immediately. So far I have tested it in winter, although it does not seem crazy to use it on a summer night out for a party. It is like an Aqua di Gio for the evening. If you are not afraid to smell like a classic man, it is a blind buy.

It is not the Kenzo Pour Homme of the 90s (discontinued by the way). Although leather and patchouli still predominate its DNA has lost its identity. The current one is sweeter and more herbal. Its longevity is immense. I atomised a suit jacket that I keep in the wardrobe and the scent still lasts for weeks. Its trail is moderate and discreet. As for the perfume I close my eyes and feel a marine scent more precisely Mediterranean beaches. Just thinking of those aromas transports me to a bar sitting at a table facing the sea just after nightfall enjoying a glass of champagne and some gratin oysters wearing a white shirt and bermuda-style trousers with nautical footwear. In summary the perfume is very masculine and seductive. At night. Young people or those in their early twenties thumbs down. I would say for those over 30/35 years and older.

I acquired the EDT Intense a year ago and I loved it. It is one of my favourite fragrances (having more than 120+ in my collection). Motivated by such a spectacular fragrance and also by the perfumer behind it (Quentin Bisch) I recently acquired the Eau de Parfum. Here are my impressions: 1. A couple of sprays are enough to be noticed. 2. It is a heavy woody scent and can reach the point of being overwhelming. 3. Unfortunately the touch given by the patchouli displeases me a bit. Otherwise it would be a spectacular perfume. 4. Adolescents should abstain. This is for a mature audience 40 . 5.0 I don’t find the typical leather smell that is easily found in perfumes like Falcon Leather Ombre Leather Yquawam etc. 6. Despite having different expectations 💔; I must recognise that it is a great perfume both in scent ingredients and longevity. 7. For the moment I haven’t received any comments. My mother has loved it. She says it smells like a masculine man. I suppose she was referring to the singer Chayanne haha (for some strange reason mothers find this type irresistible). 8. Due to its potency it should be used in cold climates and at night. 9. Hypermega masculine perfume. (Mother you are right). PS: It doesn’t seem so similar to the EDT Intense. I definitely stick with that one.

It lasts a long time but doesn’t project as much. I haven’t tried the Intense, but this EDP is very similar to Lattafa’s Wajood; the Arabic one wins on performance. The Kenzo smells less synthetic, it’s more of a personal bubble, while the Arabic one leaves more of a trail. In scent, the Kenzo has a rich leather combined with patchouli at the base, while the Arabic one stands out for its sandalwood. If you ask me, I’d stick with the Arabic one: for less than half the price you get a very similar scent with better projection.

Kenzo Homme EDP is the sea, but not a clean or bright sea, nothing like a beach afternoon. It’s a dark sea, after a storm, at night, in a harbour. You get a muddled sea scent that embraces you with marine notes, salt and a slight smell of damp vegetation and seaweed brought by the waves. You sit and reflect while the sea envelops you. Let’s not talk about longevity, it’s a beast: with two sprays, 24 hours and two showers later, I can still smell it on my skin. The projection is very strong at first (I still don’t know if it fades or if my nose is getting used to it), so moderate the sprays. It’s not for parties or flip-flops on the beach; it calls for a more cared-for style, like a white linen suit at sunset. Personally, I love it, though I don’t recommend it blindly. I’ve tried others from the line and haven’t liked them, so I understand why many people might not get it.

Kenzo EDP is a luxury, a super different fragrance. The first time I tried it I felt different, I gave it a chance and I have no regrets. It’s not as marine as it sounds; the smoky wood and leather are quite noticeable, with a touch of honey that gives it a special sweetness. It can be worn in any season, but for me it’s a bomb in autumn and winter, I got many compliments then. If you want to smell different, I recommend buying it, it’s a 10/10.

It’s a beautiful perfume; although it appears to have few notes, I feel it’s very complex. To me it smells of honey, wet wood, mint and a deep, salty sea breeze. There’s nothing in the current perfumery that resembles it, in a world where everything seems to be DNA of Erba Pura or Baccarat Rouge, this is a fragrance that is a relief. Besides its peculiar aroma, it’s a bomb, it leaves a trail wherever you go, people love it and they don’t know what they’re smelling. With three sprays you have for about 8 hours without a problem. I got it for 1200 Mexican pesos, you pay little for a quality niche perfume that is versatile and very elegant, although you do need style to carry it. 10/10.

Top notes are great, though my girlfriend couldn’t stand the leather scent. Dry down is superior to Ferragamo, Carolina Herrera, and Aqua di Gio; it owns the streets. Ideal for a mature, modern, confident, and extroverted man who knows where he’s going ⚓️
