  1. The opening is very heavy, intense woody and sweet. After… 20 or 30 minutes, the opening calms down a bit, it moves into the heart and notes emerge that remind me a lot of a 7up fizzy drink! But very pronounced lemon fizzy drink aroma, sweet and super delicious. Accompanied by the opening notes that calmed down a bit and blend with the 7up! For freezing winter and autumn nights. For going out, because it’s loud and very noticeable, to get attention. Masculine unisex. Longevity about 9 hours and I have a shower, it surely lasts longer. Heavy projection and sillage for 3 hrs or a bit more then it weakens but never fades away. It’s a lovely perfume, but I struggle to wear it because of the intense heaviness it has, I like the 7up feeling! It’s super lovely, but the spicy-woody-ambery aroma is too intense. I always end up opting for another perfume when going out because they’re more wearable. Try it, and try it properly before buying.

  2. Once I overdid it with the vanilla essence I put in some pancakes I made, that’s what this smells like, bitter medicinal type. I had to swap it for another perfume.

Smells like “whisky with Sprite” once I heard that and I never liked it, the worst of the essencials trio

A soft Oud with a wonderful vanilla. Warm and sweet but balanced. A Natura gem at a spectacular price.

  5. This woody and masculine fragrance with a sweet touch is an intense and enveloping option, ideal for those seeking depth and character in a perfume. From the first application, the oud stands out strongly, bringing that warm and resinous feeling that defines its personality. Its longevity is excellent, lasting on the skin for hours, while its sillage is noticeable without being overwhelming. However, its power and composition make it more suitable for cold seasons and night-time use, that is when its olfactory richness can be best appreciated. It is not a fragrance to buy blind, as its intense profile and the prominence of oud may not be for everyone. But for those who enjoy sophisticated and enveloping fragrances, this perfume can become a safe bet. Score: 7.5/10

  6. An opening with a lime-lemon fizzy drink profile with vanilla and alcohol, it is the most charming part of the fragrance. With a dry-down of a not-so-noticeable oud and a very slightly sweet vanilla, they make a perfume that delivers but does not change anyone’s life. In my experience, people who are into fresh or sweet scents that are not so commercial like it quite a lot. If you try it and you like it, it is a great option since it has a very long longevity of more than 8 hours, it does not project that much but the sillage is heavy when you move.

  7. SUPER TASTY AND FUNCTIONAL :::: It is a WOODY / SWEETISH / ELEGANT perfume, smooth and balanced. Neither does the wood feel like OUD, nor does the vanilla feel like just vanilla, it is a seductive sweetness with warm and elegant floral nuances with a woody and creamy sensation perceived in its base. A sweetness although present super balanced. The boozy note does not feel alcoholic but gives body and creamy warmth, like a good brandy that together with amber provides a sweetened SEDUCTIVE AND SOPHISTICATED feeling. Ideal for cooler climates although it is not a projection bomb, so it is optimal for romantic encounters, or an event that requires a formal image.

  8. After so much hype for this perfume I went to a natura centre to try it along with essencial oud (classic). I will tell you the experience on my skin: After more than 12 hours both are still fixed on skin, with the classic still projecting a little. Speaking of oud vanilla: At the opening it is pleasant, the first hour you smell an elegant scent that is about to become sweet but stays just right. That is because of the green vanilla which is different from a dessert and more like a tea. Regular projection. In the dry-down, about 3 hours later it becomes flat and without nuances and gradually acquires a somewhat artificial and dry smell which intensifies and stays close to the skin. In the case of the classic, the opening is not as good but after the second hour it develops and I could not stop smelling it. Its dry-down is also artificial but leaning more towards incense. I do not recommend blind buying or buying only for the opening but evaluating the dry-down.

  9. I find it similar to Colors Man Black. I have both! The Benetton one is way cheaper! Don’t get ripped off!

  10. The longevity of this fragrance is unmatched. I sprayed it on a playing card to test it and forgot about it. Almost a month later I found the card under some papers and when I brought it to my nose the fragrance was still there, clear. What I find difficult is finding an occasion to wear it since that boozy vanilla is pretty sharp and overpowering for the wearer. I would apply it on areas of the body further from the nose.

  11. Honestly it didn’t say much to me, beyond what is already known or usual in the current trend, nor was I trying to find a similarity to any particular perfume. For those who favour this vibe I think it will be a good option. Scent with prominent vanilla, a soft touch of alcoholic drink and a more woody base, rather than raw, rough oud. It’s a sweet, wintry scent, medium intensity, but as an EDP it has good longevity on skin. As for sillage, it will depend on the number of sprays, although in cold weather you can be generous so the scent unfolds its warmth. Perfectly unisex with a masculine lean, for casual outings and better that way, not so much as an everyday scent. I should note that on this side of South America Natura prices, at least for this line, have gone up, almost reaching a mid-range price when bought at the standard price without an offer (it’s not a cheap line).

  12. I don’t find it pleasant, it’s very bitter, boozy, I didn’t like it at all, it’s not for me.

  13. Totally unisex. Excellent longevity, more than 12 hours in my case. I’m not an oud lover but I’m in love with this perfume.

  14. My favourite Natura perfume for its merits and performance. It’s a perfume worthy of cool winter days, night-time. Its sillage is powerful and its longevity is incredible. 10 hours on skin and it’s even present after showering. On clothes it lasts for days. It opens with a sharp citrus accompanied by a boozy note, an opening that is not at all friendly in the first 30 minutes of the perfume’s life. After that time comes that bitter green vanilla so unique as the Bahian vanilla which together with the woody notes and resins in this perfume turns into a dark and elegant vanilla without becoming sweet. The only light sweet touch in this perfume is given very discreetly by the saffron and amber it contains. It’s perfect for a special event. I have 5 backup bottles in case they decide to discontinue it for good. 10/10. Definitely not recommended to buy blind.

The herbal-type vanilla. Nothing sweet gourmand. The boozy note in the opening. Its longevity on skin. Its projection for 2+ hours. Its bottle. Its box with braille. Its sustainable policies. ITS PERFUMER. THE BEST NATURA FRAGRANCE SO FAR. PERIOD.

  16. More than excellent longevity and projection. It smells very good and gets compliments. Keep in mind that it’s a green vanilla (not sweet), similar to the aroma of tea.

  17. Another decant I tested in one day and yes, it is of really high quality. It will remind you, if you focus your nose a bit, of D&G The One Parfum but very superficially, just to give you an idea…. That said, I don’t get the classic oud or the classic vanilla, this would be very aromatic wood with liqueur and if I had to mention something similar to vanilla, it’s not like cake-baking essences, nothing like that, this is less heavy, rather boozy and macerated with a light, resinous, rich wood. In short, better than expected and with above-average performance: 8 hours easily, much longer on clothes, with a very pleasant sillage… and it earns you lots of compliments.

It took me a while to buy a perfume again and I don’t regret it: with a boozy touch in the opening and a powdery, addictive, not at all sweet vanilla, I loved it. Unlike the other versions of Essencial, this one is very versatile and it’s just what I was looking for, a perfume to wear almost all seasons of the year. And the best thing with Natura is the longevity: 8 hours on skin, 24 hours on clothes, above designer fragrances.

  19. I bought it blind and I was surprised by the good quality it radiates. Whilst I consider it unique, it immediately reminds me of Gentleman Eau de Parfum Givenchy 2018, some D&G The One EDP and a bit of Spicebomb.

  20. Excellent fragrance, I’m not a fan of fragrances in this style, especially because in the city where I live it’s very hot, I like fresh ones more like Hugo by Hugo Boss, CK Free, 360° Red, Versace Eau Fraiche or perfumes like CH by Carolina Herrera or Herrera for Men. However, this is an elegant and pleasant perfume, excellent quality, 100% recommended. I bought it blind and very good.

  21. A special flanker, friendly, balanced, mysterious, this one can be worn day to day without being a fragrance overloaded with hyper-spice and ultra-amber. Its boozy note (sugarcane rum) and the combination of the so-called Bahian vanilla (molecular replica because this Amazonian orchid is endangered) with a less intense accord than the traditional sweet vanilla; it is truly exquisite, and the balsamic part of the woods blends masterfully with fir (resinous, herbal similar to what you find in perfumes like Hugo Boss Man canteen, Pasha de Cartier Parfum), giving a contemporary, bold, sophisticated, somewhat clean feeling, finishing in a wonderful dry-down on skin. Good longevity on skin, moderate projection, you should definitely give it a chance to oxidise and age to see its true potential. Laughably low price for what is offered in this Essencial line from Natura, along with the other flankers (recommended Essencial Oud Pimenta, differentiating factor for immersion into the oriental world, of oud, roses, spices). Total respect for Veronica Kato and Natura for bringing unique elements to catalogue fragrances.

Excellent perfume. I read somewhere that some said it smells like jelly babies. I’ve been using it for a good while now and I can say I understand why they say that. Its smell is powdery, with drop-like shapes bursting from something juicy and sweet, like squeezing an aloe vera and watching its juices run out, always with yellow tones, light brown and pungent in the nose. On clothes it lasts many days. It projects very well and lasts a long time. Recommended. I bought blind and I don’t regret it.

  23. Inevitably talking about value for money with this type of fragrance, in that regard a 10/10, few perfumes deliver this performance and level of compliments. As for the notes, on my skin wood and vanilla are constantly present, the distilled/liquor aroma is more in the opening, it is a somewhat flat perfume but with incredible longevity (8 hours on skin and 24 hours on clothes easily). Don’t buy blind, but if you like uncommon perfumes, it is highly recommended.

It lacks “body” and depth… but it is an excellent fragrance for what you pay and even more if you get it on sale it’s a total bargain, I liked the dry-down, I like that it doesn’t smell synthetic, it has good quality, and the notes can be perceived throughout the day. I give it an 8/10 based on quality and price.

  25. It’s the first time I’ve used this fragrance, and personally I was delighted, I wore it in a night-time setting with cold weather and its projection and longevity on my skin were brutal, and on clothes even more so, 48 hrs later the scent persists completely intact. It’s a sweet woody aroma, tastes differ, perhaps it’s not to everyone’s taste, but give it a chance, I recommend it.

  26. First of all, it should be noted that this is not a fragrance for everyone. Extremely sweet and sexy. I don’t find it exclusively for winter as many think, but it is exclusively for night-time. Perfect fragrance for dates, it worked excellently for me and it’s one of my all-time favourites. Like the whole Essencial Oud line, the value for money is surprising. A 10 out of 10 fragrance.

  27. It’s a strange fragrance in a good way! Since to children’s noses it recalls a Sprite fizzy drink the first instant they smell it and women sense a reminder of olive oil, very rich and exaggeratedly macho. I recommend this perfume for nights when you’re going to have sex because it complements very well all the smells of passion in that moment. Underwear with this perfume will increase your eroticism by 200% and even more with a hot shower, since the scent doesn’t leave the skin. I recommend it for those intimate moments. For nights out to nightclubs it doesn’t work, for a romantic dinner it’s only just enough and for work only for the early morning, by midday and afternoon it doesn’t work. Recommended age over 23-24 years.

  28. The opening has notes of distilled alcoholic drink, something like cognac; after a few minutes spicy notes framed in vanilla emerge, then agarwood notes are perceived – of the type smelt in Middle Eastern houses’ products, but softer. Finally the composition becomes woody, although softly (one would have to see what happens if you perspired… I assume the wood notes would amplify). The evolution is complex. The problem lies in originality – there are too many points in common with Essencial Elixir and Essencial Mirra. It’s redundant to have it if you have the other two. It compares to an oriental from a haute perfumery house in some of its attributes; in that sense, as happens with other Natura ones, it doesn’t smell in proportion to its price.

  29. Honestly I don’t understand all the hype for the Essencial Oud Classic and for this one. The first one seems super synthetic and sweet to me. This is a very flat perfume, with no personality and very linear. I get the creamy vanilla note and little else. If there is any oud it is very distant and far from even medium quality. It doesn’t smell synthetic, but it doesn’t smell nice either, nor striking. 5/10.

Good longevity, the price is a bargain. In short, opening with a fresh liquor to continue through to the end with a creamy Bahian vanilla. Loved!
