The dry-down doesn’t suit me; it smells like an older lady’s perfume. However, the dry-down is brilliant: rich, sweet, original, with very interesting floral notes that make it feel fresh, though I can’t quite define it well—it simply smells amazing (in the dry-down).
Hamptons is a very light and balanced fragrance, but the truth is its projection doesn’t stand out in this niche category. In my opinion, it has a harmonious accord with an DNA reminiscent of the classic Dolce & Gabbana men’s scent, highlighting that astringent sage aspect. As a negative, it lacks much punch or projection.
It smells quite generic, with projection and longevity that aren’t particularly high; it could easily pass for a designer fragrance.
