  1. Although it doesn’t show abyssal differences from the EDP, it feels darker and deeper, without ceasing to be Blue Talisman. I loved it! This week I used this in a decant I bought, and it’s the one that has received the most compliments; it was well-received among office colleagues and friends. Good projection and longevity of 8 to 12 hours depending on the climate or locations you expose yourself to. It feels more semi-formal, and I even feel it’s more suited for night outings than daytime ones, although it works perfectly during the day and in enclosed spaces; the EDP is more of a daytime scent. Scent: 10/10 (I like this version more than the EDP). Projection: 10/10. Longevity: 8/10. Total: 9.3. If I had to choose between this and the EDP, a thousand times the Extrait, but I still like both. However, owning both versions can become redundant because although they have differences, their DNA is very similar.

  2. While not from another planet compared to the EDP, it feels darker and deeper, yet remains Blue Talisman. I’m absolutely smitten! I tried it this week in a decant and it brought the most compliments; my colleagues and friends were all praising it. It has good projection and lasts 8 to 12 hours, depending on the weather or where you are. It feels more semi-formal, even leaning towards evening wear rather than daytime, although it works perfectly in enclosed spaces during the day since the EDP is more diurnal. Scent: 10/10 (I prefer this version to the EDP). Projection: 10/10. Longevity: 8/10. Overall: 9.3. If I had to choose between the two, a thousand times the Extrait, though I like both. However, owning both could be redundant because, despite their nuances, their DNA is very similar.

  3. SPECTACULAR. If you already own Blue Talisman, getting this feels redundant. I’m speaking from my own perspective, so please don’t take offence. For me, it’s a vastly improved version. I liked the original Blue Talisman, but I didn’t love it; there was something about the opening that found me a bit histrionic and shrill, which didn’t quite convince me and took the desire out of wearing it. The dry-down improved things, though. Well, with the Extrait version, we essentially have Blue Talisman without that opening character. For me, they’ve perfected it, as it smells exactly the same, with a citrus/fruity opening featuring that fleshy, juicy pear that everyone adores, a heart even more floral if possible, with those exquisite white flowers, and yes, woods that are more prominent from the start in this new version and persist throughout the perfume’s life, leaving a dark, very creamy dry-down. They’ve perfected something that was already very good. On top of that, they’ve added longevity (not much, but something). For me, one of the best launches of 2025, and it goes straight into my Top 10 of the entire collection. Plus, it’s ultra-versatile: suitable for day, night, formal and informal occasions.

  4. More ‘polished’ than the original, less fresh and deeper. The synthetics that sometimes bothered me in the brother version are softened by the vanilla, plus it’s simpler than the EDP. There are clear parallels with the original: it seems darker and less fresh, yet remains pleasant. Unfortunately, the scent of this extrait feels softer to me than the EDP. The opening is a sweet pear with gummy notes, but don’t worry: the gum disappears quickly (10 minutes). What remains is an ambered, sweet and fruity pear. The bergamot gives the pear a very soft and subtle citrus touch, while the vanilla and woods add warmth. If you have the money and are looking for something distinctive, sweet and fruity, this Blue Talisman Extrait de Parfum could be an interesting option. At this price, definitely try it first; it’s not prudent to risk a blind buy. For me, it’s perfect for summer or autumn nights, but it could also be a signature fragrance, as it’s worn on any occasion and season. Personally, I’ve liked it, though I think it lacks the magic of the original. Is the extra price worth it? Try both and decide.
