Allure Sensuelle by Chanel

Allure Sensuelle: its name says it all. It’s not a promise, it’s a certainty. On my skin it becomes living wood, with a chypre hint where the precise, unobtrusive patchouli, and all the notes are integrated with mastery towards the terrain of silent elegance. Many keep it for special occasions. I don’t. Because when one understands that life is a sigh, one discovers that the best time to use a fragrance is now.

Review based on the previous formula. I’ve been testing Allure Sensuelle for a while and loved it a treat, but never managed to buy it (it’s expensive, like any Chanel, but quality has a price), so I added it to my wishlist and it’s still there, laughing, I don’t know when I’ll have it. Anyway, I tend towards a minimalist collection, as this passion for perfumes is costly. In my opinion, it’s like the rocker brother of the classic Allure (which I like less, and that’s thanks to AS existing). AS is a complex formula: it opens with citrus and a strident patchouli, very rebellious and without sweetness, which calms down a bit with the roses becoming sweet-floral-woody, velvetised by sandalwood and slightly powdery by iris, with a touch of honey, many spices, something green and a lovely vanilla. Words aren’t enough to describe this olfactory sensation. I love the Chanel DNA in general. AS is a fragrance that dresses you in femininity, elegance, mystery, sophistication and sensuality, just as its name says, but a sober sensuality that subtly traces an androgynous line, highlighting that wild side. It’s very well balanced, addictive and very long-lasting. It’s a jewel of perfumery. It has very good performance. As I always say, test before buying.

I like it, although my nose stops picking it up quickly. I know it’s on the clothes, because when I take them off I can feel it, but it disappears… and that doesn’t please me much. It’s a very fine vanilla with a bit of spices, sandalwood and amber. That creates an elegant, classy and warm scent. Then there’s a slightly “rough” or green note. I don’t know if it’s the patchouli or the vetiver. The point is that it adds more class… but, repeat, it fades away. To finish, I think fresh days in between (not rainy) are its thing.

Signature fragrance, they conquered me with their notes from the first sniff. I am a collector and it is one of the few that have driven me mad, totally sensual and to my taste for night; I prefer to use it in autumn-winter, although I could use it all year with a lower dose. It’s a fragrance that dresses you, makes you noticed and causes an impression wherever you go. I am happy to have it in my collection, I recommend it with eyes closed. Whoever wears it is the Pandora box that many want to open.

I didn’t expect it, the Chanel Allure range never caught my attention. A perfume-loving friend gave me samples, including this one, and it is sexy without trying to be, with very good longevity and a fragrance for special occasions.

Yesterday I finally bought this exquisite fragrance that was difficult to decide. I had wanted a good Chanel fragrance in my collection for a long time; the first thing that came to my mind was the classic Chanel N5. I went to the shop, they tested it on me and unfortunately it evaporated in about 15 or 20 minutes. So I read reviews and by its name and pyramid I was certain I would like it. I went, they tested it on me and incredibly it lasted less than an hour. I asked my husband to smell the tester because perhaps I was fatigued in my olfaction, but he couldn’t perceive it either. The truth is I was very frustrated, let a week pass and tried again… it lasted a bit more, but it wasn’t comparable to Chanel quality. Again disappointed and bewildered I left without buying. Yesterday I was looking for Coco Noir to see if it matched better with my skin, but it wasn’t in the shop, so I decided to try again with this fragrance that had me enchanted. Yesterday the “miracle” happened: a spray on the arm and I went out to have a coffee; while the hour passed I still perceived the beautiful scent. I have been so happy that it was already late, but I hurried and arrived at the shop almost at closing time, determined and convinced, to ask for it and buy it. Like me, they will be wondering how it could be that other times it didn’t fix on my skin… let me tell you I ask myself the same. Perhaps it’s some medicine I take for a bone problem, perhaps the weather, perhaps hormones. I am a 43-year-old woman… I don’t know, but I noticed the tester they applied with was very new; it could be that the other tester was very exposed to light and affected the fixation or the power… perhaps… I don’t have an answer. I can only say that the complimentary spray (a single splash) is still felt at skin level, already very weak, more than 9 hours have passed and even if I bring my nose close I can feel it. That’s why I give you a tip: if something like this happens to you and you really have doubts, try more than once because sometimes it’s our body or the weather that interferes with the performance. I am happy, really my husband has a gold patience, he has three or four perfumes, it’s a lot. I have a considerable collection, I really enjoy perfumes a lot. I recommend you try several times before giving up on the purchase. Greetings to all perfume lovers!!!

Chanel is my favourite house; I haven’t tried anything of theirs that disappointed me, perhaps Gabrielle due to its short longevity, but its scent is delicious. This fragrance is one of my favourites for feeling strong, empowered and victorious; I wear it when I need to make an impression at a work meeting. It lasts about 8 to 12 hours on skin and on clothes, needless to say, the trail never fails. It has a spicy, super-spiced opening that leaves me intrigued, and after an hour, the floral side of the rose emerges without losing its vanilla and woody touch, which imposes sensuality, elegance and strength. It’s one of my all-time favourites, although in my city with so much heat I don’t wear it daily, but when the occasion allows, I don’t miss enjoying it. Rating: Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Scent 10/10, Price 8/10 (it’s a bit pricey).

I bought it very recently blind; it is undoubtedly a Chanel, it would be a nice scent, and based on the notes I expected it to be warmer and more woody, however on my skin it is greener than I expected. The citrus notes rise to become almost effervescent with pink pepper and a very light patchouli… Over time the citrus notes recede but don’t disappear, and I appreciate some faint soapy roses with a vanilla touch… It’s a beautiful scent, but I don’t feel the talc, nor the wood, nor the earth, nor the warmth… In the end, what’s left close to the skin is pink pepper and vanilla, that’s what I feel.

Its scent is infinite… Well, I exaggerate a little or perhaps not. It smells very good; it’s a floral scent, a tiny bit classic, in my perception, eyeing it closely, it doesn’t remind me of the original Allure; you can feel patchouli, light jasmine, sweet roses, sweet vanilla with a light talc and woody touches that make it elegant, which is why I say it gives the impression of a classic perfume, which with a minimum splash is avoided and stays fresh so it doesn’t cloy anyone. Summary: it should be applied with caution, as it depends on the activity you’re attending; I think due to its atomisation quantity it can be chameleon-like, adapting to the place. It smells delicious, but I didn’t feel it was for me. I had it on my arm and it had a somewhat oily consistency, therefore its longevity is excellent. Explanation: I got home and my mum, like a little bee behind me, what was she carrying on, showed it to me and said it was delicious. I bathed and put a lot of soap on my arm unconsciously, as is normal, changed clothes and the scent was still there 😳😳😳, and my mum said it was delicious. I know what her gift will be, as it will suit her; she liked it much more than me; she’s almost 60.

It has a slightly woody and mildly spiced opening that initially makes the patchouli jump out with the mandarin and vetiver; that’s how I’ve always felt it, as in the end it settles into a powerful, sandalwood-infused and majestic vanilla. One of the best the Chanel house has done. It has all the touch of exquisiteness that a perfume like this deserves. And I love it deeply, as it lasts eternally on skin and clothes, leaving a divine dry-down and a very, very wide trail. It’s toxically delicious.

I LOVE IT, I’M NOT A FAN OF CHANEL PERFUMES IN GENERAL, I THINK THEY SHOULD STUDY AND MODERNISE THEIR PERFUMES BUT THIS AND ITS SISTER ALLURE SUIT ME PERFECTLY. SOFT WITHOUT ANY STRIDENT NOTES AND THEY INTEGRATE PERFECTLY. I’M ASTONISHED. I THINK I’LL GET THE SENSUELLE, IT SEEMS MORE SPECIAL. DEDICATED TO REBEQUITA WHO UNDERSTANDS MY RARE PH ISSUES WITH THE CITRUS NOTES.

I absolutely love Allure Sensuelle; I find it bolder with a great trail and a sparkling projection. I like it more than its predecessor, Allure. Highly recommended.

Does anyone know if Allure Sensuelle is no longer in stock? I’m from Argentina and can’t find it. If anyone knows where to get it in CABA, it would help me immensely.

Well, although the name and that mysterious air already shouted its purpose from the laboratory, the true conquest was something that activated in the user. Chanel didn’t want us to be beacons of scandal, but rather for the fragrance to make us feel emotionally surrendered to sensuality. As Olorami rightly said, which I recommend reading. As for the scent: it plays with the cheekiness of pink pepper, mixes it with woody patchouli, and refreshes it with citrus, plus a subtle fruity-sweet touch of peach that goes unnoticed. Then comes the abundance of Damask rose, wrapped in a powdery iris that smells like foundation. It all closes with a spiced, salty, and aggressive vanilla, with a minimal sandalwood that reinforces the wood thanks to the long-lasting patchouli. It’s a perfume to attract attention; its trail isn’t an atomic bazooka, but it is very perceptible and superior to the norm, without being overwhelming. It’s the ‘ideal intensity’. If you don’t feel comfortable standing out, it’s not for you. This edition, which even arrived in perfume format, isn’t for minimalist tastes or soft citrus, but for those seeking depth without falling into vulgarity. It’s versatile and original. Sensuality lies in the aroma; it’s not magic that turns you into a sexual symbol, but if you live sensuality as she proposes, you can master it with her.

It’s more sophisticated and sensual than its brother, Allure, which I’m a fan of. Allure is more serious and classic, while this one explores much more feminine experiences. I think it’s deliciously feminine, less reserved than the other, with a spicy and sexy point that makes it unique despite the similarities. Without a doubt… I want it.
