Honestly, I was let down; it smells like burnt rubber and I didn’t like it at all. The only saving grace is the price and the packaging. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind or wearing it in the heat. As a motor enthusiast, I wanted to give it a blind try, and I confess it is the worst scent in my collection.

I’ve worn it about ten times with my Chopard Mile Miglia and I’m very pleased. I bought it on the recommendation of reliable people and because it was £18 on Notino, a mass-market price compared to other three-figure offers. I expected something pleasant and long-lasting, but I was surprised: it’s elegant, has a good development, and a performance just above average. It opens with violet, juniper, and that asphalt note that smells like new tyre rubber or clean rubber, very well integrated. It reminds me of the violet+diesel combo from Fahrenheit. I remember some monolithic rubber sandals that smelled incredible when opened due to their compounds; this fragrance has something similar. If you can get it for under £25 (80ml bottle), it’s worth it.

I tested the eau de toilette on a day with 2 degrees of cold and I think it mixes Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef & Arpels with a roasted and acidic coffee, plus that tar note that smells like asphalt or new tyre rubber… I like it, it’s made for perfume, it’s not heavy or toxic. I see it as unisex: it smells good on women, like suede leather, and on men, that fantastic mix. I’ll see how it evolves with more heat; the nose plays differently. The trail is good, an aromatic bubble with an arm stretched out, about 7 hours in total.

  4. It arrived and I found it exquisite, youthful, and it conveys that adrenaline of the motor world. For now, it reminds me of Fierce by Armani. On my skin, it has had a good trail and projection; I note citrus notes of bergamot and a touch of leather. There’s a note I’m not sure if it’s the asphalt, something slightly spicy and penetrating, but ultimately I liked it. Excellent blind buy.

  5. Chopard 1000 Miglia brings inspiration from the motor world. The bottle is original, with details that recall competition tyres and watch straps. It’s a modern scent that mixes coffee, violets, and leather, plus a surprising sweet asphalt note that creates a unique effect. It’s quite long-lasting and the trail is medium, at least on my skin. I would recommend trying it before buying; in my case, I liked it halfway.
