Citrus with a touch of sweetness, perfect for hot days or semi-formal events. It starts very fresh with grapefruit and cardamom, then becomes more marine and aquatic with a base that some detect as cinnamon. As it dries down, it leaves a trail of amber and wood. During the day, that hint of grapefruit or marine notes sometimes returns. The initial projection is good, lasting about two hours, before settling on the skin for another six to eight hours, lingering longer on clothes. Some compare it to Issey, but only due to the citrus; it feels less dry, sweeter, and heavier. In Chile, it cost 26,000 CLP in 2023 for 120ml. Excellent value for money for summer or hot weekends.

Another top option if cumin keeps you awake with 1920 The Origin. The opening smells exactly like the Parfum, and the evolution doesn’t change much, except that here it lacks that spicy note that I love in the concentrated version and the original Cartier fountain. Without that ‘spice’, it sounds a bit generic, but that’s exactly what makes it fresh and perfect for work or relaxing without fuss. That’s why its longevity and projection are moderate, which is good because it invites you to reapply after six hours. It goes with everything, suitable for any age and outfit. I’ll stick with the Parfum, but try this EDT in summer or mild days; you’ll like it.

Absolutely delicious, refreshing and citrusy. As they say, it has an Issey vibe, but they’re not the same. A safe blind buy. I found it in Chile for $18 – a real bargain.

Very rich, refreshing and citrusy. As they say, it has an air of Issey, but they’re not the same. A safe blind buy. I found it in Chile for $18. A real bargain.

Tested at Tous: it’s fruity and citrusy, reminiscent of Miyake by about 65% but with its own identity; less spicy and extravagant, very rich. Perfect for young people aged 18 to 25, an absolute must-have for everyday wear at school or the office. A perfect casual citrus scent for warmer days. The price is a bit odd: around $45 on eBay and 1,700 pesos (approx. $90) in Mexico. Worth the investment. Lasts about 6 to 7 hours on the skin, and you won’t need more.

I tried it at the Tous store: it’s fruity and citrusy, reminding me 65% of Miyake (I’ve owned several and they’re similar), yet it has its own identity as it’s fresher, less spicy and less eccentric than Miyake. It’s lovely. I see it as essential for young people aged 18 to 25, perfect for everyday wear at school or the office. It’s a summer citrus for casual dressing. The price is odd: on eBay it’s around $45, while in Mexico they sell it for 1,700 pesos ($90). Worth the investment. Lasts about 6 to 7 hours on the skin and you don’t need more.

An excellent clone of Eau D’Issey by Miyake; they smell very similar. The Tous is slightly less bright, but it smells 90% the same and costs half the price of the original. Recommended.

Light and refreshing, a real energy boost for a sunny day or to feel crisp at work. It’s aquatic with a slight woody touch and that citrusy, acidic Yuzu note reminiscent of L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake, but less floral and more modern. Good longevity for an aquatic scent: six hours on the skin, projecting to a metre for the first two hours. Excellent value. Perfect as a gift or a blind buy for hot seasons.

Although it says it’s newly launched, I spotted it in airports back in late January and early February and couldn’t resist trying it. Quite pleasant, citrusy, in the style of Issey Pour Homme but a bit softer and more versatile, yet with that woody vibe that really stands out. I think it’s a great option if you like Issey Pour Homme but find that sharp Yuzu note overwhelming.
