Gucci 1921 is citrusy, aromatic and floral. Upon opening, it smells of citrus and herbs; although it says ‘citrus’, I detect more bergamot with citron and neroli. At first, it reminds me of Acqua di Bergamotto or Zegna’s Italian Bergamot. As it dries down, it stays herbal and gains a musky, slightly woody touch, without much else changing. It’s best worn during the day for its freshness, ideal for work or casual moments. I liked the scent, but it’s expensive, doesn’t last long (6-7 hours), projects well only for the first 20 minutes before settling close to the skin. There are cheaper options with the same freshness.
