To my nose, the oud is medicinal at first but settles down to last the life of the perfume. What dominates is that citrus lime (as per the name) which persists from the spray right through to the end. The main accord is citrusy and everything revolves around it. Alongside the medicinal oud, it creates a honey-like vibe, resulting in an oddly sweet scent. Cheers, colleagues 🖐️
At first glance, it smells very much like BLACK AOUD. If my memory serves me right, this LIME is a bit more citrusy and less dusty. I’ll test both side by side and update. Regarding the previous comment, I invite you to try it and judge according to your own nose for a real conclusion. But if it smells like insecticide, then NO.
This does not smell like a mosquito killer at all; this wonderful Montale is the ultimate example of an oud king. I disagree with the previous reviewer: it’s an oud-rose combo with the house DNA, with a metallic and almost citrusy touch that makes it a marvel. It’s hard to find anything like it. If you’re a Pierre fan, you need this.

Aoud Lime offers something interesting among oud fragrances. We know oud is usually dark, but not here. The zesty citrus notes counteract that darkness, creating something translucent. The concept plays with the chiaroscuro between citrus and oud, which is unusual. However, it has a flaw: it feels very synthetic. If you want something similar, try Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud; it’s higher quality and more luminous. It’s a peculiar proposal, a pity it seems so artificial. Sometimes our reviews aren’t about science, just sharing impressions. Those who enjoy the synthetic side won’t have any issues. Longevity, projection, and sillage are moderate. Being fresher gives it versatility.
Wow, it gives the perception of freshly cut limes (even though this note isn’t actually there lol) and, combined with the house’s characteristic oud, feels like a medicinal and santería concoction. It’s probably the rose and patchouli that create this citrus illusion. The amber smells dirty and quite acrid. The iris and sandalwood add grandeur to the classic formula of the kings: oud with saffron. With half a spray, it has an enormous throw and great clarity. Luxury!
