I couldn’t agree more with R. de Lioncourt: this fragrance smells like several Arab scents sold for $20-30. It’s sheer madness that supposed ‘experts’ dismiss perfume simply because it’s Arab, only to value it to the highest degree once it comes in a fine bottle and costs $300.

I see similarities with many perfumes that aren’t coincidental. There’s a very reasonable resemblance here to Terroni by Orto Parisi. Black Caviar is similar to Acqua Di Sale by Profumum Roma, Imperium like Ani/Hacivat, and Trajan like Baccarat Rouge 540… we’ll see more once I finish the discovery set. If it cost $40 and were Arab or from a cheap house, everyone would talk about ‘clones’, but this comes in a proper bottle and costs $220-350. Well, with this ‘inspiration’ from Terroni, which has a smoky base, it almost resembles Cuorium after a while. Furthermore, it lacks that earthy note, of dry volcanic soil. That’s about it. It adds nothing beyond what the aforementioned have already done. Unfortunately, the performance doesn’t stand out, as is usually the case. It’s not bad, but for a niche perfume, I demand more projection and sillage. I would also ask for more originality.

It’s a dry, mysterious, smoky scent. More for night than day, formal; at first, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and can be difficult to wear. In any case, it’s a very elegant and unique aroma.

  4. What a rich scent! A masculine, woody, and slightly smoky perfume. Clearly only for fresh days and evening wear, with that sweet touch in the base. Longevity: 7 hours. Projection: 1 hour. The only thing working against it is the price. Rating: 8.8/10.

I bought a decant of this perfume, the second from this house I know. A good 10ml decant to use without restrictions for at least 10 times. 1. It has resins in the opening and present throughout the evolution. 2. It smells completely ambered. 3. From the opening, there are woody tints, sometimes very dry, and other times a leather note like Gucci Guilty Absolute, though not as potent. 4. In my view, it has poor performance: deficient projection (almost nothing, very intimate, a good option if you like that) and poor longevity. After 4-5 hours, only a sweet and ‘gasoline-like’ aroma is perceived close to the skin. Definitely not making it onto my wishlist.
