Descripción
Chocolate Greedy by Montale, created by Pierre Montale in 2007, is a jewel of the oriental vanilla olfactive family, designed for men and women. This composition seduces with an intense opening of chocolate and vanilla that embraces the heart, while the base reveals a warm persistence of vanilla that leaves an unforgettable mark.

A great gourmand perfume, an exquisite scent that everyone likes, highly recommended.
A stroke of genius, it’s a delight, what a rich thing, truly, it makes you feel good, changes your mood, makes you want to kiss the person wearing it, haha, it’s the only one I like from Montale. You can really sense the chocolate aroma, it’s a delight for all seasons, day and night.
This lasts more than 15 hours. It’s a chocolate but it’s extremely gourmand. In my country, Chile, there’s a vanilla wafer cookie filled with chocolate called Super 8. This smells like that, and despite being into sweet scents, I don’t want to walk around smelling like a dollar chocolate cookie, haha. Yes, it lasts and projects a lot.
This perfume has become my favourite this week. I sense a delicious chocolate, the orange, the coffee but low down, the vanilla is also a very rich combination. If you’re Latino, it smells like a chocolate Bridge cookie, the edible itself, tasty. I don’t get tired of this perfume. Very well made, a perfume that will whet your appetite, delicious. ❤️🔥✨⚡️🥹
A delicious chocolate sorbet scent. I’ve just bought my first bottle of this brand but I feel it doesn’t come with 100ml because the bottle is lightweight aluminium and isn’t completely full. Otherwise, I wanted to try it and I’ve loved the smell.
I second the opinion of Melamishr15. I asked the shop girl if they’d used the tester much (considering the brand and its fragrances have only been on display for a week), because all the Montale bottles weighed nothing, and she gave me the same explanation: ‘They’re lightweight aluminium bottles’ (I ‘marached’ the bottles and didn’t feel much liquid inside). Having said that, let me offer my opinion on this fragrance: well, I have the same bad opinion I have of Mancera Coco Vanille. I didn’t like it because I find it dry and suffocating. Although here the composition is more pleasant than the aforementioned Montale. Here I don’t sense the coffee, just vanilla, chocolate, and more vanilla.
My father has been vaping for years. He loves brownie liquids, chocolate cookie, vanilla ice cream… Well, this perfume reminds me too much of those vaping liquids, especially with its potent opening. Because afterwards it becomes more ‘dark’, like black chocolate but without losing its sweetness, making it a very interesting fragrance that makes you want to eat the person wearing it. I also find a ‘powdery’ nuance, but powdery like cocoa powder… It’s very unisex; the chocolate cookie scent has no gender. I’m a man and I love wearing it, but if a woman wore it, it wouldn’t be out of place at all. We need more perfumes like this that take things to the extremes: you want a gourmand, then take a proper gourmand. My congratulations to the Montale house for this great fragrance and its sibling Arabian Tonka.
After many Montales, I’ve finally found one that I truly think is special. It’s a wonderful scent, a sweet chocolate that isn’t heavy or excessively gourmand; when it settles, it blends perfectly with the citrus of the oranges. A stroke of genius. That said, don’t expect a great sillage. It’s a perfume to enjoy on your own. It doesn’t last long, and for a niche fragrance, it disappoints in that regard. And it stains clothes. Edit to add: this perfume paired with Black Opium is a winning combo; you get some cacao and coffee notes that are insane in projection and longevity.
The coziest thing you’ll ever smell: add Cloud by Ariana Grande to this chocolate brownie.
What an empowering feeling it is to spritz a little on the sofa in autumn with a latte sprinkled with cinnamon, feeling this warm and delicious fragrance when you curl up.
Sells like Nesquik powder, evolves into chocolate cake and freshly baked orange shortbread, finishing with a cloying, super-gourmand, winter-y, direct trail. I have a 5ml decant I’ve never managed to finish. If you’re looking to smell like a refined dessert on the street, go ahead, but this is more for personal indulgence than daily wear. I see it as ideal for Christmas movie marathons with your partner, eating desserts on a very cold day. You’ll feel totally edible, or rather, ‘biteable’. In my case, I wouldn’t buy it even on offer. Although I see it as more masculine than feminine, it’s super ‘cuddly’ or cosy. That said, it projects a lot; it’s for close encounters, with decent longevity and above-average performance.
I love showing it to my friends because it leaves no one indifferent. To the point: it smells like a bar of crushed dark chocolate, nothing more. Anyone who has tried Montale knows the performance is excellent. It’s a unique fragrance that simulates cocoa incredibly well, although personally I wouldn’t wear it myself; it seems very out of context to smell like pure cocoa.
At first, Chocolate Greedy disappointed me; I expected a chocolate cake with orange and found instead a jarring mix of cinnamon and anise. I left it for several days, and when I returned to try it, it was exquisite. Now it’s my signature autumn fragrance: sexy, warm, and super gourmand. Ideal for cold days with a cup of coffee or for going out at night in a vintage bar. It’s 100% unisex; I wouldn’t separate myself from a man’s neck if he wore it. The cocoa and orange are the stars, with vanilla as an accent (a sweet orange, not citrusy). My friend brought a Panettone, and I thought: ‘God, my perfume smells just like it’. It stands out because it’s unique, lasts more than 8 hours on skin and weeks on clothes. Worth it.
Smells like Phoskitos, it’s like putting your nose in the open packet, very realistic. If you like Billie Eilish, you’ll love it
Smells like Super 8, crunchy with a hint of hazelnut
This is exactly what smelling a chocolate cookie accompanied by a good coffee feels like… It’s a very particular aroma, especially for wearing on a crisp afternoon, where one wants to feel wrapped in warmth and pampered. It smells of chocolate, but not sweet chocolate, rather the cocoa bean, with all and the shell. I think it’s a fragrance not for receiving compliments on the street, but for intimate and personal enjoyment, like to ‘cuddle the soul’.
When I received it, I was so excited, but upon spraying it, I was greatly disappointed; I didn’t understand why everyone said it smelled like chocolate cookies or plain chocolate. To me, it smelled like chocolate cereal mixed with an ordinary men’s fragrance, and I hated it. However, I followed the advice and let it macerate for a week, and I was surprised. It became a completely chocolatey scent, addictive yet not cloying, where all the notes are appreciated and, when fused, create an unparalleled olfactory performance. The chocolate note is slightly sweet, but its sweetness is balanced by the bitter orange. It’s a completely gourmand perfume, and although it is exquisitely delicious, I don’t recommend wearing it in summer (above 40 degrees). I adore this perfume, it’s a pity I’ll have to wait until autumn-winter to wear it. Projection 8/10, Scent 9/10, Sillage 8/10, Longevity 9/10 🙂
It’s a marvel, identical to Natura’s Kriska; on the opening it smells of intense chocolate cookies, and as it dries down, the orange becomes noticeable. I recommend it 100%; women absolutely love it.
I feel like I’m eating chocolate chip cookies, like ‘Pepitos’, with lots of orange glaze, peanut butter cream, and vanilla 🍪🍪🍫🍊 every time I wear it. It’s super addictive, a sweet, creamy, and chocolatey gourmand. It has excellent longevity and sillage, just like all the Montales. If you like sweet, cloying gourmand perfumes, you’ll probably like this. 🎈Do not buy blindly🎈; if possible, test it well on your skin first. It’s not a fragrance for everyone; you can either love it or hate it. It’s very sweet and strong, ideal for autumn and winter ☃️🥶. Scent 10/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 10/10, Packaging 9/10, Versatility 8/10, Value for Money 10/10. Would I buy it? For now, NO 😊
Chocolate Greedy is like walking into a bakery where every corner is covered in melted cocoa. From the first moment, you feel as though you’re diving into a sea of milk chocolate, which for a gourmand lover is almost a religious experience. However, for someone less enthusiastic about sweets, it can be quite a challenge. I decided to try it on a crisp afternoon, thinking it would be the perfect fragrance to combat the cold, and indeed, it was like wrapping myself in a chocolate blanket. The opening is exactly what one would expect: chocolate, but not the dark and bitter kind, rather that soft, sweet, almost childish chocolate. Quickly, the vanilla notes blend with the candied orange, adding a fruity touch that gives it more depth without stealing the cocoa’s spotlight. The combination is linear; it doesn’t change much as it dries down, but that consistency is what many appreciate. To be clear, Chocolate Greedy isn’t for everyone. It is sweet, extremely sweet, and while the gourmand line has a loyal following, not everyone will want to smell like dessert all day. If you prefer a drier or spicier touch, this won’t be your go-to fragrance. In fact, it reminded me a bit of Mugler’s A*Men Pure Tonka, which also plays with that intensity of chocolate and vanilla, though with a touch more lavender and coffee. Pure Tonka is more versatile and strikes a better balance between sweet and spicy. As for performance, I must say it’s decent, though not spectacular. The initial projection is potent, enough for those closest to you to ask if you’re carrying a chocolate cake in your pocket. However, its longevity on the skin, while acceptable, could be better considering the price. Over the hours, the intensity fades, and although it remains present, it becomes more intimate, which isn’t necessarily bad if you don’t want to leave a massive trail in your wake. For those who enjoy extremely sweet perfumes, Chocolate Greedy is a solid option, but I’m not sure it justifies the full price of a 100€ bottle unless you are a die-hard cocoa fanatic. A decant could be more than enough to satisfy that occasional chocolate craving without compromising the budget too much.
I mentioned something similar on Nebras de LTF: it disgusts me a lot. But this perfume shows quality. It’s very pretty, it makes you want to eat it but it tires me out, haha. Luckily I tested it in a decant. Sillage and longevity are very correct.
I LOVE IT. At first I was sceptical about the citrus notes; it smells of mandarin or dehydrated orange with nuts. However, as it dries it is TOO gourmand, super chocolatey, a strong cocoa that transforms into a milk chocolate bar. It is too delicious. I recommend it for chocolate and gourmand lovers. Despite being unisex, I feel it smells better on women than on men. A 10/10 for me.
It’s conceptual; it takes you to feel as if you were putting your nose in a packet of sweet vanilla and orange cookies. It feels very real; as it dries, it adds a powdery cocoa that rounds it off until the end. It projects well for the first hour, then expands in bursts and lasts more than 8 hours. If you are a gourmand lover, do not pass this one by.
It’s like peeling an orange with your hands and then eating a bar of chocolate. It smells rich and makes you want to eat. I don’t see myself using it; I can’t find an occasion for it, but don’t misunderstand me, the perfume is good, high quality, rich and pleasant. I can’t imagine it at a party or in the office. It’s niche with all the letters. Good longevity and projection, typical of Montale. Ideal for sparking conversation with friends and family.
Smells like chocolate chip cookies… it’s rich, but if you want to smell cookie, cookie, cookie (and so on for 9 hours), this is your perfume. It has excellent sillage and is potent. But my goodness, it is hyper-sweet, as if you were a walking cookie. I like smelling it on someone else when they pass by the street, but not for myself. Or buy a 5ml decant to test it at home when you’re in the mood.
They don’t know how much I liked it, even though I barely tried a little. It’s delicious, you can’t imagine how much. I sense a rich smell of chocolate and almonds. I loved it, loved it! I had been looking for a chocolate perfume for a long time. I’m glad I found it.
It doesn’t smell of chocolate, but of freshly baked cookies. If you like gourmand scents, you must have it. It’s a well-made Chokomusk. For me, it was too much and I sought a new owner, but the quality is 10. It lasts, projects, and leaves a trail like a beast.
Smells only of trikitrakes cookies. Nothing else.
A very accomplished realistic chocolate gourmand. Pierre Montale immerses us in a world of faithful chocolate, with memories of little cakes and notes of vanilla and orange. The blend is delicious and enveloping. The longevity is atomic, as is usual for this house, and the projection lasts hours. It’s an almost blind buy for gourmand lovers who want to smell something edible.
Smells like real chocolate, with a citrus twist that makes it taste like cookies. On my skin it doesn’t last, which happens with several Montale perfumes; it fades quickly.
It didn’t disgust me, but it feels very heavy. In a city where it’s summer almost all year round, it’s hard to find the right moment for it. To me, it smells exactly like the chocolate protein shakes I drink; it’s a chocolate, but very chemical. It doesn’t remind me of cookies like others comment, simply that, a chemical chocolate.
It’s a particular scent; definitely smells like cocoa, but also very much like orange. It smells like Oreo cookies, but as if the filling were orange. That’s the most accurate description to explain what it smells like. I feel it’s very unisex and has super realistic notes, but if you’re looking for something that smells more like dark chocolate, I don’t think it’s for you, as the orange stands out too much. Oh, and it also smells exactly like Bimbo napolitanos.
I didn’t buy it, but I took the opportunity during a visit to a perfumery to try it. Although it’s not enough for a full review, I want to share my experience because it surprised me (as I write, I’m smelling the soaked cardboard). I’ve read that some find it artificial while others find it realistic; I respect both opinions. I’m only commenting on the scent; I can’t speak to longevity or projection. Hyperrealism was born in the 60s with works that look like photos, and this fragrance has that same realism, just like Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis. When I smelled Chocolate Greedy, I thought: ‘Chocolate cookies, hyperrealism’. I understand why some might find it artificial, as many commercial chocolates contain flavourings and preservatives. To me, it reminds me of the smell of supermarket chocolate cookie packets. For the price, it’s a fun experience; perfumes are that, and without a doubt, it will be my next purchase.
Very gourmand aroma, smells like orange and chocolate cookies. I like it, but it doesn’t last even an hour. I don’t know if it’s my skin… not even on clothes.
A super realistic gourmand; it smells like a chocolate brownie with orange zest cooking in the oven. It’s a fun experience, but I wouldn’t buy the bottle for daily use. I don’t think many people want to smell like baked cookies all the time. It’s the kind of fragrance worth trying with a 5 or 10 ml decant, and it will last you a year. Performance and projection are moderate; I expected more notes, but perhaps this is better.
I’m writing this review with the scent on my wrist… Literally, it smells like CHOCOLATE; the cocoa dominates everything and smells delicious. But as I saw in a previous comment, I’m not sure if I should buy the full bottle for myself. I feel it’s for very special and intimate occasions. Conclusion… Full bottle: NO. Decant: YES. Suitable for men: MAYBE. More for women: YES. Smells delicious: YES. Lasts: YES. Do you want to walk down the street smelling like a brownie? Buy it.
I tried it on my skin and felt like I was wearing a freshly opened bag of Choco Krispis. At first, I liked the mature, bitter chocolate, but walking around smelling like children’s cereal all day isn’t for me.
I tried it in-store and liked it: very sweet and of good quality. However, on blotter paper, after two hours, there was nothing left. I like to smell like dessert, so I’d buy it if I wanted to spend money without thinking. The good thing is it smells round, with chocolate and vanilla; the orange is more in the background. Unfortunately, I can’t smell the coffee at all, although it’s my favourite note. PS: For coffee, I absolutely love Black Opium Le Parfum.
There was no love at first sight with Chocolate Greedy. I expected a sweet, warm embrace, but instead found dry cocoa. It starts rough, then softens, but ultimately leaves a common, dry, and sharp chocolate scent, nothing like those cosy coffee shops. The longevity and sillage are moderate.
I just can’t get along with cocoa perfumes like this one; on my skin it smells like chocolate left open years ago, very stale, just like Mancera’s Choco Violette which I used to love so much. I’ve sprayed it five times and it hasn’t changed. I’ll let the decant rest again to see if it improves someday.
