Cinnamon Rolls by Theodoros Kalotinis

It’s pure gourmand, smelling of cinnamon stick right to the bone. I add a touch of Bianco Latte or something with white chocolate to give it more realism and sweetness, which it doesn’t lack. For the price, it’s like having a niche perfume at home.

Something strange happens with this one. On the paper, it smells wonderful: milk, lemon, and cinnamon, just like my grandmother’s warm rice pudding. But on my skin, it lasts only seconds before smelling of rancid lard or old yeast, nothing like the description. I thought macerating it would help, but it didn’t. Almost everyone loves it; I don’t know if it’s my skin reacting to the butter note. The longevity and projection are very low. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.

Starts with a super realistic, very sweet cinnamon roll. Then it transforms into the potpourri your mum used to put in the communal bathroom. Luckily, it doesn’t last long.

The name reflects the aroma very well, no deception. With a powerful opening that you imagine will be beast mode, but projection drops quickly and moves to a more personal bubble, though it’s not that bad. Perhaps you’d use it almost all year round, except in summer. This house has positioned itself very well in gourmand aromas with excellent value for money.

Most perfumers are like abstract painters, but Kalotinis is the photographer. The opening is super milky, evoking a lemon and cinnamon glaze over a strong creamy base. After two minutes it dries down, balances beautifully, and settles into an hyper-realistic gingerbread cake scent. My expectations were high, and they were exceeded. Coming from commercial and synthetic fragrances, they aren’t bad, but I was searching for something new, realistic, and gourmand. I didn’t expect such quality, and for the price, it’s a bargain. It will definitely be a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance. If you are a gourmand lover seeking something realistic and edible, this TH is ideal to start with. It reminds me of a bakery, a kuchen, and a glaze. The longevity is relatively good; it lasts all day on the skin, and once it muddies, it becomes an absolute bomb.

Like most Theodoros, this one is chewy. If you’re looking for a scent true to its name, you’ve found it: cinnamon, butter, and plenty of sugar delivering a proper cinnamon roll. Once it dries down, the buttery harshness mellows considerably, which I appreciate, leaving a more wearable vanilla and cinnamon gourmand. Longevity hovers around four hours on skin; projection and sillage are overwhelming at first, but don’t be deceived – after half an hour it drops off a cliff and becomes practically intimate. I’d call it unisex if you enjoy gourmands. Given its profile, it’s best suited for autumn and winter, though the projection could make it wearable year-round. I found it very delicious, but I struggle with these perfumes: I can’t quite find occasions to wear them. Furthermore, the performance is poor, so I probably won’t buy it.

To me, it smells more like butter cookies with lots of cinnamon than Swedish cinnamon rolls. The longevity and sillage are typical of Kalotinis perfumes: at first, you get an intense blast and think it will last all day, but after half an hour it fades. Quite photorealistic, but the longevity and sillage leave something to be desired. Even so, it’s excellent value for a niche perfume. Perfect for gourmand lovers.

As explained perfectly above: it smells like marshmallow milk with cinnamon, even the cone. At first, the butter is a bit sharp (happened to me with others), but once it settles, it adds more realism. I haven’t tested longevity yet, but it smells strong and I can’t believe it won’t last. I’m not sure if I’ll feel comfortable, as the scent is very realistic. I think the gourmand theme is getting out of hand XD
