This is my first HFC review. It feels like a cousin to Delina and Delina Exclusif by PDM, yet with its own distinct character. I don’t detect that typical rhubarb acidity or lychee note here; instead, it smells of blackcurrant jam and pear purée. That’s the key. Although it’s often compared to PDM fragrances, I’d never sell it myself. The quality, sillage, and longevity are impeccable, as befits the house: expensive but never disappointing in performance. If you’re looking for a floral scent with a ‘jammy’ touch and a woody base (without animalistic oud), it’s sweet, amber, and far less bombastic than Marly’s offerings. Upon reflection, I’m reminded of Turkish roses, peonies, blackcurrants, soft woods, ambergris, and a great deal of delicacy.
