Thanks to Mercedes’s question, I’m reviewing this magnificent fragrance again; it’s fresh and delicate. If I had to use one adjective, it would be romantic; it smells like first love, fresh, without pretence or wounds. Despite seeming naive, it’s not a sweet childish juice; it’s resolutely elegant. I have a vial and remember thinking it was Audrey Hepburn’s scent when I spilled some on my arm. While others connect it to L’Interdit, to me it smells more like the fragility of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It opens with very fragrant and sweet mandarin, like ripe fruit, with hints of lemon and green lime, mutating into deep, fresh roses—not powdery, but citrusy and green (they remind me of the smell of spring in my grandmother’s garden, where she grew five varieties of roses, jasmine, neroli, lilies, and carnations); lightly covered in dew, a rose garden at summer dawn, fresh, soft, and natural. In the end, the roses leave their citrus aspect and yield to white musk and a tonka that adds depth to the flowers’ youthful appearance. A feminine, delicate, and subtle perfume, profoundly beautiful and without stridency. Delicate trail (barely on the skin) and longevity between 2 to 5 hours.

Demachy is a master of perfumed waters. This is a fine example: beautiful, harmonious, elegant and subtle, with a touch of sensuality that shocks some. I liked the simple packaging (though I would have removed the label and the dated photos from the box). It smells of fresh rose, subtle ylang, tonka bean, sweet orange with basil and ambrette. It is timeless, fits in perfectly and suits my good humour. I will take it on my trip to use it during the day. It is tolerable in heat, but I will test it in the cold as I believe it expresses itself better there. Good sillage and lasts more than five hours.

The opening is citrusy, green, and slightly strong; the basil with lemon is noticeable. Then it calms down, leaving the basil but making way for exquisite roses. They aren’t naive roses; they have presence and elegance. The musk and tonka bean in the dry-down give it personality and depth, making it classic and vintage, very different from the sweet vanilla scents of today. Best for daytime, perhaps at the office. I imagine a classic yet fresh woman, responsible, delicate, and feminine with firmness and charm. It doesn’t last long; after three hours, it’s barely on the skin.

I love this fragrance, fresh and long-lasting. I cannot explain how much I like its dry-down: floral from start to finish. Roses, exquisite roses that begin slightly citrusy and then are enveloped by basil, which despite being an initial note I can almost smell until the end. It gives a perfect balance. I do not wear it in summer because I do not enjoy roses at those temperatures of 38 to 45 degrees; it seems to me a fragrance for young adult women with a jolly character, best settled in spring or autumn and for daily use.

  5. I tried it yesterday and it caught me by surprise; the simple bottle was next to a celebrity one, but I chose this based on the name. It is classic yet modern, a fresh rose. The opening is very citrusy, almost bitter, then the rose emerges, slightly talc-like but fresh. The dry-down is very pleasant and wearable, with an air of vintage colognes from the past. I have liked it for late spring and early summer due to its luminosity, ideal for daytime work or informal night outings.

  6. I absolutely love it; it’s fresh and lasts all day. The dry-down is another level: floral from start to finish. Exquisite roses that begin citrusy before enveloping in basil, which, despite being an initial note, I can still detect almost until the end. Perfect balance. I don’t wear it in summer because I can’t handle roses at 38-45 degrees; the heat here is brutal. Ideal for young adult women with a cheerful character, better suited for spring or autumn for everyday wear.

I tried it recently and was surprised. Its simple bottle was next to a flashy celebrity one, but I preferred this by name. It’s a classic yet modern scent, a fresh rose. The opening is very citrusy, almost bitter, then the rose emerges, slightly talc-like but fresh. The dry-down is very pleasant and wearable, with an air of vintage, like old colognes. I like it for late spring and early summer due to its brightness, for work or informal evening outings.

I did not like its aromatic opening due to the basil, although it has good longevity and projection on my skin, so much so that it overwhelms those who do not like this type of fragrance. I had a boyfriend who said he could not stand it and asked me not to wear it again. After a couple of hours it becomes very soft and floral, the only thing I like. I would not buy it again.

  9. I was very eager to try it; lately I have been attracted to several perfumes from this brand and based on the notes I thought I would love it, but it is not my style. It smells very musky, like vintage soap, I do not know if it is due to the rose and double musk, although it lasts a long time on the skin. If you do not enjoy rose or soapy scents, it is really not for you.

  10. It’s a perfume with a lot of personality; it’s not for every woman, and that makes it seductive to me. The issue is that it doesn’t last at all. I own Poison and Addict, which have immense longevity and incredible sillage. This one lacks strength and doesn’t endure. It’s like a match that flares up for a few seconds and then goes out. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

  11. I was dying to try it; lately I’ve been obsessed with several scents from this brand, and judging by the notes, I thought it would be my perfume, but it’s not my style. It smells very musky, like vintage soap; I’m not sure if it’s the rose and double musk, but it lasts incredibly long on the skin. If you don’t like roses or soapy scents, just forget it.

I didn’t like the opening due to the basil, although the longevity and projection are good, to the point of overwhelming those who aren’t fans. I had a boyfriend who couldn’t stand it and asked me not to wear it again. After a few hours, it becomes soft and floral, which is the only part I enjoy. I wouldn’t buy it again.

To me, it has perfume quality, even though it’s an eau de cologne. I love well-balanced citrus notes without being strident, along with neroli and roses. The bottle is sober and classic. It’s a delicate and feminine fragrance, designed for everyday wear and summer. As it doesn’t follow current trends, it’s hard to find.

It’s wise to change one’s mind: when dry, it resembles Scarlet, but ultimately not quite as much. The Scarlet is wildly floral and sweet, whereas this Givenchy smells like water, soft with a delicate citrus touch. Medium longevity and a soft sillage; it has quickly become another of my favourites.

  15. I do not know how to explain how delicious this perfume is: it is citrusy and floral from start to finish. It is not simply a commonly fresh citrus, it is very feminine. Despite being light, it has good longevity. Fantastic.

Red, white, and pink roses, with a sweet touch, but not vanilla, rather black sugar or honey, with mandarins… good longevity, but low trail. Still, it’s a delicate and exquisite perfume. Feminine, fresh, and youthful.

Red, white and pink roses with a sweet hint, not vanilla but dark sugar or honey, with mandarins. Good longevity but low sillage. Nevertheless, it is delicate and exquisite. A feminine, fresh and youthful perfume.

I loved it, although it sounded identical to the Cacharel Scarlett I already own. It leaves a sweet honey and orange scent, very delicious.
