It’s powdery, woody, semi-formal… but not very innovative, nor is it a compliment magnet or a scent you feel like smelling every moment like happens with other types of fragrances… overall it’s a 6/10, nothing more. Don’t overdo the sprays or you’ll end up smelling like a joinery. From the Emir collection, without doubt the best is Vanille & Roses

I bought it blind as I’d seen online that it was inspired by Mancera Cedrat Boise. Yesterday a friend offered me the original Cedrat Boise for sale, and what a surprise I had – it’s very similar to the Emir one (allowing for proportions). For warm climates I find this scent very pleasant, but it’s not one that will earn you many compliments. Still, if you want the Mancera DNA without spending so much, the Emir one is a good option.

It’s a bit powdery, woody and semi-formal… yet lacks freshness or originality, and doesn’t compel people to ask you to smell it like other fragrances do. Overall, I’d give it a 6/10: without a word of warning, over-spraying leaves you smelling of a carpenter’s workshop. From the Emir collection, there’s no doubt that Vanille & Roses is the queen.

I bought it blindly after seeing it was inspired by Mancera Cedrat Boise. Yesterday a friend sold me the original, and what a surprise: it resembles the Emir one remarkably (if you watch the proportions). It’s very pleasant for hot days, though not the kind of scent that will fill you with compliments. Still, if you’re looking for the Mancera DNA without spending a fortune, the Emir version is a good option.
