  1. Emotions follows the path of Arpege or Chanel No. 5. It is a Helena Rubinstein gem that few people know about and, unfortunately, doesn’t suit the skin very well, but its longevity is fascinating. The scent is a dusty rose with hints of spices and woods. It features a superbly crafted balsamic note and a resinous, amber base that sometimes reminds me of Arpege. This is the kind of fragrance you’d expect to find if you travelled back to the 1960s. Jean Kerléo created it while working for Rubinstein before going on to design several fragrances for Jean Patou.
