Flaneur caught me off guard, but it ultimately smells fantastic. It opens with a strong floral note, like dry frangipani without that creamy touch, blended with an almond reminiscent of Guerlain and a hint of absinthe similar to Lolita Lempicka’s Green Lover. As it dries down, the florals recede while the fresh notes rise: absinthe bergamot and ambergris, which become dominant. It’s like a spring breeze, very much in line with what people seek in Silver Mountain Water-inspired scents, though it’s not identical. The ambergris is the guiding thread. It’s versatile for any weather, with excellent performance and a delightful trail. Some might find the floral aspect off-putting, but I think it’s a great perfume. It’s my first try of the brand, and I believe it’s worth exploring further. Rating: 8/10

Flaneur took me a bit by surprise at first, but the result is interesting and very pleasant. It opens floral, with a linden that smells more of dry frangipani than creamy, mixed with an almond reminiscent of Guerlain and a touch of absinthe like Lolita Lempicka’s Green Lover. As it dries down, the florals recede and the fresh notes rise: bergamot, absinthe, and ambergris, creating that spring breeze that recalls Creed’s Silver Mountain Water. They aren’t identical, but they reach similar sensations thanks to the shared ambergris. It’s a versatile perfume for any weather, with delicious performance and trail. Some might find the floral touch off-putting, but I love it. It’s my first scent from the brand, and it’s worth exploring further. Rating: 8/10

It begins floral, sweet but light, without being cloying, and gives way to a soft, toasted almond, very different from the one in the Ideal line. It never loses that floral or fruity touch, without falling into excessive maturity. The absinthe note stands out more with humidity or sweat, blending with something that smells like young wood. As it dries, it appears more woody but keeps that floral joy. It’s a youthful and contemporary fragrance. As Baudelaire said of the ‘flâneur’, this is urban and modern. Although it’s unisex, I see it as more balanced towards the feminine until three hours in, when it becomes neutral. It evokes a modern, youthful, and dynamic office, or a spring walk in the park with the heat already settled. It’s the third of the 27_87 I’ve tried (after Sonar and Hashtag), and perhaps it will be the first I’d like to keep. I’m so surprised by the negative vote, as it doesn’t seem like a bad fragrance at all. I believe it can be worn all year, day and night. That said, although I like it and find it curious, I find it difficult to justify its price.

The absinthe note and a hint of young wood become more noticeable with humidity or sweat. As it dries, it seems more woody but retains that joyful floral quality. It’s a youthful and contemporary fragrance. As Baudelaire said, the flâneur is the urban and modern figure; that is this scent. Although it’s unisex, I see it as more balanced towards the feminine side until three hours in, when it becomes neutral. It evokes a modern, dynamic office or a walk through the park on a warm spring day. It’s the third of the 27_87 I’ve tried (after Sonar and Hashtag), and perhaps it will be the first I keep. I don’t understand the negative votes; it’s not bad at all. It can be worn all year, day and night. Only that, although I like it and find it curious, I struggle to justify the price.
