Descripción

Holidays by Mancera is a woody floral musk fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2016, this composition is signed by perfumer Pierre Montale. Its top notes of coconut and bergamot deliver a fresh, tropical first impression. The heart unfolds the tiaré flower alongside ylang-ylang and marine notes, adding depth and salinity. To close, the base notes reveal vanilla, sandalwood, and white musk, imparting warmth and longevity to the scent trail.

On holiday, it smells of vanilla with a hint of chocolate; you can detect some ylang-ylang and coconut. If you’re after something more tropical, look for Mancera’s Coco Vanilla. The longevity is eternal; a little goes a long way, making it ideal all year round for casual outings.

  • Holidays is a creamy floral perfume ideal for spring-summer. On my skin, ylang-ylang and the tiare flower stand out greatly, followed by the more moderate coconut note with aquatic notes; the dry down is vanilla and tiare, making it creamier, like a tropical sun cream. It is sweet but not gourmand; it transports me to the beach surrounded by palm trees, lying in a hammock, and tanned with tropical sun cream. Its longevity is fantastic; one must be careful with applications as it can become overwhelming on very hot days. I recommend it highly for those who like this beachy vibe, the sunscreen smell. If you are looking for something very sweet of this style but less floral, choose Mancera’s Coco Vanilla; if you want something much more floral that highlights the tiare to the maximum, choose Montale’s Intense Tiare. If you are looking for a creamy beach perfume like a tiare sunscreen, do not hesitate with Holidays. All last more than nine hours on skin.

ADDICTIVE; I love the tiare flower for the good memories of special trips. I also love Olympea for the same reason. For me, the salt, the vanilla, the coconut, the tiare flower, the amber, and the smell of the sea… It smells like freedom, love, and holidays. Holidays is a mix of all that in one bottle; it represents me so much. Perfect for a beach honeymoon. How does it smell? It smells of salt, sea, a natural vanilla perfume like sunscreen, tiare trees, pieces of wood soaked by sea water, and a lime and lemon refresher. Holidays smells like holidays. I have not yet tried it in summer, but for a walk on the beach it must be madness. Yes, few sprays as it is intense and long-lasting.

ADDICTIVE; I love the tiare flower for the good memories of travels. I also adore Olympea for the same reason. To me, it’s salt, vanilla, coconut, tiare flower, amber and a scent of the sea. It smells of freedom, love and holidays. Holidays is a bottle of all that; it represents me. Perfect for a beach honeymoon. How does it smell? Salt, sea, natural vanilla, sunscreen, tiare trees, wood wet by the sea and a lime refresher. It smells of holidays. I haven’t tried it in summer yet, but for the beach it must be madness. Few sprays as it’s intense and long-lasting.

  • It does not smell like the beach or anything of the sort; it smells like creamy vanilla with touches of coconut, which reminds me of some sunscreens but in an intense way, nothing light or fresh. It is a fragrance leaning towards the feminine side in my perception; it has something that tires my olfactory senses. Its use could be perfect for days that are rather cool and not too hot, as it is not fresh, it is heavy.

  • It doesn’t smell of the beach or anything; it smells of creamy vanilla with hints of coconut, reminiscent of some sunscreens but in an intense way, nothing light or fresh. It’s a fragrance leaning towards the feminine side; it has something that tires my olfactory senses. Its use is perfect for cold or not-so-hot days, as it isn’t fresh; it’s heavy.

  • When first sprayed, the marine notes are very noticeable and can make the perfume slightly masculine, but as it dries down it is absolutely spectacular: it becomes feminine and very sweet with a blend of coconut, tiare, and vanilla that drives me mad. And it lasts, lasts, and lasts! On skin for about 24 hours and on clothes for days.

  • I love the salt note in perfumes! I adore Dior’s Jadore In Joy but it does not last more than two hours, and Olympea by Paco Rabanne is currently the longest-lasting (four hours). Of course, they all have differences. I expected more from Holidays in terms of aroma; I thought it would be intense and sweet, but it is the lightest of the three. In terms of trail and fixation, it lasts only three hours, so my favourite remains Olympea (also the sweetest). I still consider buying Holidays, but its poor value for money holds me back.

What a surprise this fragrance is! It has just dethroned my beloved Coco Vanille from the same house. Although they follow the same vibe, here the coconut is much more subtle, which I appreciate because in Holidays it does not cloy like Coco Vanille. I find much similarity to my Olympea by Paco Rabanne; although the salt in Olympea is more marked, they follow the same style. They are similar but not identical; a trained nose will find the differences well. In terms of longevity and performance, it is a Mancera: oily, good fixatives, and a trail that comes and goes. It is declared unisex, though I would not wear it as a man with this aroma, but if it intoxicates you, go ahead. More than sunscreen, it smells to me like holidays, summer, and happiness. I use it on summer evenings/nights, on the seaside promenade with a tan and a flowing dress. It is not an ode to elegance, but to the charm of this season. This is my first review on Fragrantica for this wonder. My perfumery family is immense, focused on niche. My Mancera family has five fragrances, and I do not rule out buying more. Greetings and perfumed hugs!

  • I started testing niche perfumes because they say they are better than designer ones. I tried Velvet Vanilla and Holidays and did not like them; they smell like ‘ladies’ perfume, like Avon. For such a high price, I would never spend that money to smell like an old lady. That was a mistake; I hope to keep searching for my perfect perfume because these smell too matronly.

  • On my skin, coconut, vanilla, and tiare flower stand out, each very marked. The musk gives it a slightly talc-like sensation. It is a sweet fragrance with floral notes that harmonise in just the right measure. It has a moderate trail but incredible longevity.

  • I love the Coco note, and Mancera has it all; I’ve gradually built a great collection of bottles and samples. I reached the point of getting rid of one of the three (Intense Tiare, Coco Vanille, and Holidays) because, although they are similar, Holidays tires me out. The Coco is simple; I am a lover of sweet and floral scents, and that is what I get from Coco Vanilla and Intense Tiare. Holidays smells like sticky, aggressive sunscreen: I only perceive coconut, tiare, and a little ylang-ylang with a marine note, without any vanilla or sweetness.

  • Solar protection with sea water. Very sophisticated; I adore it on my partner during the summer months.

  • It’s a marvel if you’re seeking fragrances with a summery, beachy touch. On my skin and nose, it works exquisitely: elegant coconut, soft vanilla, nothing cloying. The tiare flower and ylang-ylang are present, and by the time it settles, I sense a woody sandalwood, a delight. The marine or solar notes finish it off with salty wood. In short, it’s a masterpiece. It reminds me of the old Blanc le Soleil by Tom Ford before Estée Lauder reformulated it badly. Those around me love it; compliments are constant. The only downside is that on my skin it has less projection and longevity than other Montales, but close to the skin it lasts many hours.

  • It’s a wonder whenever you’re looking for fragrances with that summery and beachy touch, ‘on my skin and my nose’. It works exquisitely: an elegant coconut with soft vanilla, nothing cloying. The tiaré flower and ylang-ylang are constantly present, and by the hour I appreciate a woody sandalwood that is a delight. The marine or solar notes make it finish with a touch of salty wood. In short, for me it’s a masterpiece of its kind; it reminds me of the old Blanc le Soleil by Tom Ford before Estée Lauder reformulated it badly. Those around me adore when I apply it and compliments are constant at gatherings. The only thing is that on my skin it lasts less than other Pierre Montale fragrances: it lasts many hours close to the skin, but doesn’t project as the other fragrances from the house usually do.

What a great fragrance! Sunny day, all relax, turquoise beach and a glass of coconut water in hand = Holidays. Elegant and relaxed. Exceptional performance. For personal enjoyment and for those around you.

  • It doesn’t resemble my beloved Coco Vanille (which smells of caramel). Here, there isn’t so much sunscreen, white florals, vanilla or coconut; instead, the ylang-ylang is more prominent. It’s sweet yet aquatic, woody and salty, smelling of skin bathed by the sea, less creamy. I adore it for its blue, marine touch; it’s more versatile and youthful. On my partner, it reads as sexy, relaxed and elegant. It’s not cloying and I have nothing like it in my collection. It performs less than the other (that one is a beast), but given it’s Mancera, the performance is good. A fine perfume for all seasons. Update: I like it more and more; I always want to wear it. It’s sweet, woody, marine, softly salty, clean, versatile and sexy.

  • I must say it doesn’t resemble my beloved but cloying Coco Vanille (which smells more of caramel). It lacks that sunscreen imprint, nor white flowers, nor so much vanilla or coconut, although I do sense more ylang-ylang. It is sweet, but Holidays is more aquatic, woody and salty, smelling more of skin bathed by the sea than of cream. I like it for its blue and marine touch; it’s more versatile and youthful. I love it on a man’s skin; my partner wears it and I find it sexy, relaxed yet elegant and distinctive. It’s a pleasant and beautiful scent that doesn’t cloy. I have nothing in my collection that resembles it; it doesn’t perform as much as Coco Vanille (that one is a beast), but it is Mancera and there is good performance. A good perfume for all seasons. Edit: I like it more and more each time, I always feel like using it. It’s sweet, woody, marine, a little salty (soft), clean, versatile and sexy.

Salty and sweet: coconut and beach sand. Unfortunately for me, that means it probably contains calone and will send me straight to the city of headaches. But I think this will make you happy if you’re looking for something that smells of coconut, sea water and sandy skin and nothing more.

  • It’s a fragrance where the sweet and salty contrast is well balanced. On one hand, it’s marine, with that salty touch left after a bath, and on the other, the sweetness of a creamy coconut combined with vanilla and exotic flowers like ylang-ylang and tiaré. On my skin, the projection isn’t much; it’s moderate, but the longevity is immense; I feel it for 10 to 12 hours. It magnifies hugely with the heat.

  • It’s a fragrance where the sweet and salty contrast is very well balanced. On one hand it’s marine, with that salty touch that lingers on the skin after a bath, and on the other the sweetness of a creamy coconut mixed with vanilla and exotic flowers like ylang-ylang and tiaré. On my skin it doesn’t have great projection, being moderate, but it has enormous longevity; I feel the perfume for 10 to 12 long hours. It is magnified greatly in the heat.

  • I love it! Creamy but not too much, summery and almost tropical, as if it carried fruit. I disagree with those who call it ‘sunscreen’. Compared to Intense Tiaré, it’s worlds apart: that one smells of pure synthetic tiaré, but Holidays is more changeable and sophisticated, thanks to the marine notes that balance it perfectly. My first Mancera perfume and nothing to be disappointed about, with longevity and trail of 10.

  • A special perfume for spring and summer. Be careful with extreme heat because Mancera can become cloying and give you a headache; I use it in tropical Brazil and it worked wonderfully, with formidable longevity and projection. At first it smells of vanilla, floral and citrus, but as it dries down, vanilla and coconut take centre stage. In normal climates like those in Chile it lasts easily for 12 hours with a projection of 1 metre for 4 hours. In tropical heat it drops to 7-8 hours but with good projection of 2 metres for 2-3 hours, and on clothes it lasts for days, even after washing. I recommend it blindly: a woman will buy it instantly, a man will come to like it with time. It’s for going to the beach, not to go unnoticed and wait for great compliments.

I’ve been testing this perfume for months and have really enjoyed it. I’ve worn it in temperatures over 40 degrees and milder days. I think I enjoy it most in milder weather because, although the sweetness is moderate, in the heat it feels excessive. But among creamy, sweet coconut perfumes, this is easier to wear thanks to the salty marine notes that prevent it from becoming cloying. It’s simpler than Coco Vanille, which is much more intense and sweet. For my tastes, I definitely stick with this one.

  • What an incredible blend of vanilla and water! This summer has become my favourite: sweet yet fresh, hard to define. If you like Montblanc Signature, this follows the same line; it’s not a clone but vibrates in the same way. Mancera never fails with vanillas; it smells superb, feminine, clean and fresh. Wearing it makes me feel like I’m on holiday by the sea and puts me in a good mood. Longevity is good, not a beast, but beats the average at around 6-7 hours.

  • Coco Alvial

Reminds me a lot of Kenzo Marine 2023 due to that sharp ylang-ylang both share, but here they add coconut and a sweetness that is strong at first before calming down. Good longevity and trail.
