Jasmins Marzipane by Lancôme

It’s the first jasmine that makes me dream and brings my childhood back. I inevitably think of how my mother used to hold my hands; that connection reminds me of this scent, of baby hands perfumed and that intimate touch of love. It’s a clean, tender, beautiful, warm, and elegant jasmine. I love it. I just hope Lancôme doesn’t discontinue it. 2025 Edition: There’s nothing quite like it, nor a recognised dupe. It’s a pity it’s discontinued.

Finally tried it! It’s an exquisite, natural, and clean jasmine, avoiding any soapy notes, with a sweet vanilla touch and a woody, cashmere-like dry down. It’s super versatile, elegant, delicate, and feminine. I can’t see who wouldn’t like it; it’s simple yet well-constructed and very special. The longevity on skin is good, with moderate projection and sillage. It’s totally for personal enjoyment. I insist, what a beautiful perfume! If you’re lovers of white florals and have the chance, give it a try.

Jasmins Marzipane opens with a green and sweet jasmine, just right to convince you to buy it. But over time it becomes sweeter, probably due to the almond. The problem is that the jasmine disappears and only a generic musk remains on the skin, which is barely noticeable after 4 hours. I’ve tested it in different climates and it always happens the same way, varying a bit in longevity. It’s a pretty perfume but not spectacular, very feminine and versatile: I can see myself wearing it for everyday use or when I want to be put together, in temperate climates and at any time of day. Its trail is soft and lasts about 4 hours on my skin, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless you really love it. Pleasant: 7/10, Interesting: 6/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 6/10.

What a delight! It’s putting it on and thinking how incredibly good I smell. It’s a sweet, elegant, and addictive jasmine. I love it. The only downside is that it doesn’t have the longevity I’d like, but the scent is wonderful.

I must say that my bottle (recently acquired) only has one gold cap, not two. The previous one was more visually appealing, and although they say it’s been reformulated, I don’t care because I never tried the old version. I don’t attach importance to the bottle; the beauty is inside. Don’t let the ‘Marzipan’ name fool you; it’s not a sweet gourmand fragrance (which I actually appreciate). You can tell it’s a very well-worked jasmine, not sharp, sweetened. On my skin it doesn’t have prominent sillage but I don’t mind; the scent satisfies me, whatever its projection. Longevity on skin from start to finish is about 7-8 hours; it’s relaxing and comforting, ideal after a good shower or bath to feel renewed… its high price will mean most people reserve it for special occasions, but it doesn’t matter to me. Enjoy your perfumes when, where, and how you want, as that’s what they’re for, and if it runs out, get another! ^^

Excellent quality 👌, average longevity of four hours close to the skin. It’s a very elegant fragrance, smelling clean, fresh, delicate, and relaxing, as the name suggests. It’s jasmine, that’s what it is in its best form.

This fragrance is very comfortable and subtle; in my opinion, it’s a veil of elegance with almond and white flowers that covers you candidly. Moderate sillage, perhaps reaching wide, but it’s not a showy or space-hogging perfume. Very refined, well-made. It’s delicate; if I had to describe it with a single word. I was surprised it was semi-sweet; I expected something more intense, but it’s ideal in my view if you want to wear it daily. As for longevity, you can count on several hours; let’s say it stays latent for up to six hours and then lingers softly close to the skin. As I said, it’s a sublime scent, merely floral, with lots of jasmine in the opening. Extremely delicate and more refined, impossible… a dream.
