Paradigme Le Parfum by Prada

Prada Paradigme Le Parfum is an oriental, ambery and balsamic fragrance. Its opening is aromatic and floral, and the citrus is fleeting. In under five minutes balsamic notes develop, giving it body, with a slightly smoky, vanillic and resinous touch. This stage lasts for quite a while, but as time passes it becomes balanced with amber notes and a note that gives a soapy feel, which is very Prada. And it stays that way for a couple more hours until the end of its development. This fragrance is aimed at daytime as well as evening and night-time wear, but preferably on cold days or in seasons such as autumn and winter, or for romantic dates with a partner, as it also has a sensual quality. Its longevity was very good, lasting over 10 hours with a moderate sillage. For me, it’s an improved version of the first Paradigme, which, although it smells good, didn’t convey much emotion to me; this one, however, I liked a lot. At times it reminded me of the discontinued Prada Amber Intense, especially when the balsamic notes are very present; the difference is that Paradigme Le Parfum uses tolu balsam, while Prada Amber Intense used myrrh. In the end, the opinion that counts is that each person should try the fragrance and decide whether they like it.

Bloody hell ….. They say it’s like Valentino BIR Intense; it isn’t even close. I don’t know whether these people have the Valentino or just smelt it in a shop. I imagine the latter. This isn’t Valentino; it’s a dark perfume. It doesn’t head towards bubblegum, or lavender, and it isn’t sweet, or at least a lot less than the Valentino. This one is slightly sweet from the vanilla, but that’s it. My take: I’ve been wearing it on the back of my hand for about 4 hours, and I applied quite a lot to perceive it well. At first it resembles the original, enough to let you know it does come from the original, and something always remains, but not much. In the middle, let’s say it’s a hotchpotch of the original scent, but it becomes more balsamic and the vanilla becomes more prominent, the citrus is reduced, and in the drydown it reminds me a lot of the drydown of Boss Bottled Absolu. To my nose, that’s the inspiration they used. It’s not the same; I think Hugo Boss is more complex and denser, but the drydown scent is very similar. As I said, you can clearly tell who they want to imitate. In short, for me it’s a hybrid perfume put together on paper — zero creativity, zero expectations and zero personality, for kids going to their end-of-year school graduation. Now, what I see as even worse is the scandalous amount they’re asking for this shit: €70 for 50 ml, and mark my words, €100 for 100 ml. I wouldn’t pay that even if I were mad; it’s armed robbery. If you want something similar but better, Boss Bottled Absolu: cheaper, better scent, average longevity. I preferred the Elixir, but Absolu is a delight. Anyone who says again that it’s Valentino BIR Intense can go and take a dump.👋😎

I tried it in a department store, I found it to be a better scent than the EDP, in this one you don’t perceive the geranium as much, it perceives sweeter. It’s a perfume that will give you many compliments, that will be very pleasant, when I asked the opinion of some friends they said they loved it. I won’t buy it because I have Valentino BIR Intense and in the drydown I perceive it VERY similar. It would be very redundant to have both, but if I didn’t have it, I would definitely buy it.
