Descripción
Pearl by Mancera is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2016, this composition was created by perfumer Pierre Montale. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of fig, bergamot, green apple, and white peach; a floral heart of rose, Egyptian jasmine, and violet; and a woody, animalic base blending white musk and ambergris.

Mancera Pearl: I like all its notes. The opening of fig and bergamot made me think it was masculine and disappointing, but after ten minutes the fruits (green apple, peach) take it in a feminine direction. The roses and violets lend it a delicate touch; the ambergris and musk balance the composition. To me, it is round, balanced, and feminine. It’s not a risky bet or a bomb, but it has something that captivates me. The packaging is lovely and comes with Mancera’s classic pouch. The bottle is heavy and firm. The screw cap can leak if not closed properly; if you tighten it too hard, the atomiser may eject upon opening. It feels oily, lasts over ten hours with moderate sillage, and doesn’t bother anyone in the office.
Mancera Pearl: I love every single note. It opens with fig and bergamot, sounding masculine and slightly disappointing at first, but after ten minutes the fruits (green apple, peach) shift it to a feminine side. The roses and violets make it delicate, while the ambergris and musk balance everything out. It’s round, balanced, and feminine. It’s not a bomb or overly risky, yet it captivates me. The packaging is lovely with its classic pouch; the bottle feels heavy and solid. A word of caution with the screw cap: if you tighten it too much, the atomiser can pop out when you open it. It feels oily, lasts over ten hours with moderate sillage, and is perfect for the office without being intrusive.
If I had created a feminine version of Dylan Blue, it would have been Pearl: remove the lavender and ashiness, add a touch of creaminess and an acidic fruit, somewhere between peach and apple, with a hint of fig, and you get Pearl. It smells delicious, fresh, creamy, and fruity, stealing sighs and earning compliments everywhere I go. I recommend it widely and would buy it again. It’s my favourite in the collection so far. The opening is herbal and unusual, but that sensation disappears after half an hour; I suppose there’s a bit of patchouli in there.
Pearl by Mancera. The opening is a powerful explosion of fresh, green roses that lasts about ten minutes. Then the fruit emerges: green apple, peach, and fig. The rose remains present from start to finish; these fruit notes soften the strong opening and seem to refine the scent further with each passing moment. Later, a very timid violet appears, while amber and musk ensure a creamy, clean dry-down. The result is a very fine green rose and fig fragrance. If you like rose and fig with a fresh, clean, and creamy scent, this is your perfume. If you’re looking for something sweet, look elsewhere; this is thoroughly green. Ideal for spring and summer with tremendous fixation and a sillage of at least two metres. It generates many compliments for that clean, elegant vibe. I recommend it; it stands out quite a bit from the perfumery trends of recent years.
The opening isn’t alcoholic or citrusy; the rose note is prominent, quickly embraced by fruits that make it subtle and delicately sweet. I love it. As it dries, the jasmine and musk become very apparent. Due to its sillage and floral notes, it reminds me of Alien, while the rose and musk recall Pink Prestige from the same house. Its compatibility with my skin is wonderful; I never expected to like it so much. The fixation is excellent and its longevity is very high. I will definitely be buying it again.
I bought it blind and got it right: it’s a gem. It lasts around twelve hours with considerable sillage, without being a sweet bomb. Sometimes it smells like Roses Greedy but with a more delicate, creamy rose and a precise sweetness; other times it recalls Pink Prestige due to its green opening. It’s not linear; it goes back and forth: green upon application, then dries down to reveal the fruit and a delicious creaminess. It’s not a perfumery bomb, but it is beautiful. I think anyone would enjoy it. There is a minimal powdery touch on my skin.
I bought this blind and wasn’t wrong; it’s a gem in perfume form. It lasts about 12 hours on me with considerable sillage, without being a cloying bomb. At times it recalls Roses Greedy, but with a more delicate, creamy rose and a precise sweetness; at other times it hints at Pink Prestige due to its green opening. It’s not linear; it evolves: initially it feels greener, then dries down to reveal delicious fruitiness and creaminess. It’s not a powerhouse, but it is a beauty. I believe this could be a blind buy; I can’t imagine anyone disliking this delicate, feminine scent. It has a powdery touch, but minimal in my case.
I tried it on a decant before committing to the full bottle, and I’m glad I did. It’s a distinct scent from what I already own, so I took the plunge. This was my first foray into Mancera. The liquid is clear/yellow and leaves an oily sheen on the skin. The opening is fresh, slightly green, reminiscent of fresh green leaves (I’ve heard it’s fig leaf, though I can’t quite identify it). Around five minutes in, delicate, youthful, and fresh rose notes emerge, with a subtle sweetness that feels neutral. I’m still unsure about the longevity: on some days it faded to skin scent within hours, while on others it lasted until the next day. I hope the decant application didn’t do it justice. The sillage is moderate; I expected a Mancera to be monstrous, but I’m not bothered by it. I think a restrained trail suits its softness and romance perfectly. It reminds me of Montale’s Intense Café, though this is slightly less sweet. Both houses share that rose accord that I adore. I recommend testing before buying. One week later update: it soaked into all my clothes, even after washing. Today, when I applied Olympea Legend, this one still came out on top with certain movements. I’m truly impressed by its longevity.
I tried it in a decant and then bought the full bottle: it is a scent different from my collection, so I took the plunge. My first Mancera. The liquid is transparent/yellow and feels oily. The opening is fresh, slightly green, like fresh leaves (they say fig, but I don’t recognise it). After five minutes, very delicate, young, and fresh (clean) roses emerge, with a slight sweetness, almost neutral. The longevity is variable: sometimes barely on the skin, other times until the next day. Perhaps the decant didn’t show everything; I will wait to see with the large bottle. Sillage is moderate, not monstrous as I expected from Mancera, but I like it because it is reserved and matches its softness and romance. It resembles Montale’s Intense Café, though this one is less sweet. Both share that rose characteristic I love. I recommend trying a sample first. Update one week later: it soaked into all my clothes, even after washing. Today, with Olympea Legend on top, it is still there. Impressed by its longevity.
I’m reviewing this perfume because it was a fantastic purchase. I bought it blind and I love that blend of fruity, citrus, and floral notes. It’s not just for that, though, because it captivates me as it gradually transforms into my clothes and skin in a lovely way. It has splendid potency, never disappoints, and smells fine and elegant. The best part is that it smells uncommon, nothing like anything I’ve smelled before. Its name fits perfectly: it is a precious pearl. I love it.
I feel brave enough to review this perfume as it was a great acquisition. I bought it blind and am delighted with that blend of fruity, citrus, and floral notes. Not so much for that, but because it charmingly distracts me as it gradually transforms into my clothes and skin. It has splendid potency, does not disappoint, is elegant, smells fine, and the best part is that it is an uncommon scent. There is nothing similar I have ever smelled. Its name fits perfectly; it is a truly precious pearl. I love it.
I hate green notes and this perfume has them. The listed ingredients are incorrect: it does not have fig fruit, but rather fig branches, stems, and leaves. It is a green and bitter fig aroma that is aggressive and unbearable; that bitter green scent is terrifying to me. As it dries down, it leaves a very similar musky rose scent to ‘So Blue’, which I like, but ‘Pearl’ is definitely not pleasant for me in any way.
I bought a decant and it smells of freshly cut rose: the scent of the flower mixed with the astringent touch of stems and leaves. All of that amalgamates in the fragrance. It is oily and lasts long on the skin, lasting about 10 hours with moderate to intense projection for the first 3 hours before softening. If you are looking for a green rose, this is your perfume, but if you hate the smell of grass, stems, and leaves, do not bother, as they are definitely perceptible. It is not an innocent or elegant rose, but it has enough personality to stand out.
I bought a decant and it smells of freshly cut rose: the scent of the flower mixed with the astringent touch of stems and leaves. It is oily and sticks well to the skin, lasting ten hours with moderate to intense projection for the first three hours (depending on the amount), then softening. If you are looking for a green rose, this is your fragrance. If you dislike the smell of grass, stems, and leaves, do not venture in, as these notes are perceptible. It is not an innocent or elegant rose, but it has enough personality to be distinct.
One of my first loves from Mancera. Since I first smelled it, I was captivated. It is an addictive combination: the opening is like a rose and jasmine lemonade, and as it dries down, the floral and fruity accords take over. It is a bottled jewel.
I’ve been longing for this perfume for years; it’s notoriously hard to find here, but I finally managed to get it and can confirm it does not disappoint. It is spectacular, supremely feminine, sweet with a rose scent, very fruity, and features that typical Mancera woody base. It reminds me of a rare, delicious fruit called pomarrosa, with an intense pink aroma. I wear it all day, in cold or heat; it is elegant, commanding yet very cosy, a true pearl. I already own Roses Greedy and Roses Vainille, and buying this isn’t redundant; they only share the rose, but their openings and bases are distinct. Of the three, I definitely keep this pearl.
