Share what you noticed: opening, drydown, sillage and the moments when it works for you.
To begin with, this is a Perfumon. (I’ve just received it and will update after wearing it for longer). It’s the first time I’ve described the scent as opening a box of fine leather shoes: a soft, almost camphorated leather, initially dominated by vetiver and rhubarb which leave a slightly acidic note reminiscent of a cherry gently smoked with incense; the rose sits subtly in the background while tonka adds a touch of sweetness. The dry-down is exquisite, revealing amber and sandalwood, so that by six or seven hours, with a faint chocolatey skin scent, it becomes a true perfume delight. It will enchant leather enthusiasts above all, and those looking to move away from mass-market aromas in favour of something truly unique, elegant, original, sophisticated and highly addictive. Performance over the first few days is already quite impressive; it projects a metre or so for the first two hours and lasts on skin for seven or eight hours, perhaps changing slightly with oxidation, though I’m genuinely not concerned. In short, if this were released under the Tom Ford or Bvlgari name, we’d be talking about miracles and paying three times its current price.
