At first, like with this ingredient, pink pepper hits hard alongside a predominant lemon. But as that intense aroma fades, it gives way to something much friendlier. I see it as elegant, luxurious, active, youthful, and fresh, perfect for warm climates. A different kind of scent. Good performance, lasting over four hours with a moderate trail. Good fragrance. P.S.: I’d swear I’ve heard a deodorant that smells the same, which makes me like it less than I should.
Quality fragrance and very citrusy. Honestly, I was surprised it lasted 7 hours with moderate projection. Worth it for a hot day.
Like all Louis Vuitton fragrances, it smells of quality. Rich, citrusy aroma with leather in the background, ideal for hot afternoons or evenings. Wearable all year round. The only flaw, aside from the price, is the terrible longevity: 1 to 2 hours of strong projection, then it fades to a maximum of 5 hours close to the skin. For what you pay, you expect it to last a full day. I wish I’d sold my partial.
Sur la Route is one of Louis Vuitton’s lesser-known scents and, honestly, one of their best. It opens with bright, effervescent citrus with a green note. Then the leather emerges, subtle in the background, unlike in other fragrances. Here it smells like slightly talc-treated suede, giving it a dark, elegant turn. It transports me to a green field with citrus trees on a cloudy day. It lasts 5 to 7 hours with moderate projection.
With all due respect, this fragrance reminds me of that orange mosquito repellent (I can’t recall the name), the scent everyone knows. Just a heads-up: it’s not a criticism, simply that it smells identical.
I absolutely love this fragrance; it’s a top-tier blend of citrus and spice with that smoky twist. However, be warned: Campeons 22 smells like luxury mosquito repellent. With Sur la Route, you kill two birds with one stone: you smell fantastic and ward off the bugs.
