A lovely scent that has received many compliments, perfect for autumn and winter.
The Chronic isn’t what I expected; it opens sparkling with plenty of pepper and cinnamon, then moves to patchouli with caramel (an undeclared sweetness) and a sometimes-clean musk. I detect faint yellow floral notes like frangipani, but overall it smells a bit disorganised. I see it as more feminine and spectacular on a woman, though its gourmand nuances make it unisex. It doesn’t seem very versatile to me, and I think cold weather is its strong suit. It reminds me of Instant Crush, although Mancera’s version evolves into something plastic that I don’t like. You can tell there’s quality here, but the price is high, so I’d look for other options. Rating: 6/10
