The top note features oud wood; the heart unfolds with oud wood, May rose, Chinese oud, and magnolia; while the base rests on Thai oud, civet tincture, benzoin, and tonka bean.

Solid fragrance, though it doesn’t leave me breathless. I already own several Bortnikoffs that have cooled me down a bit… I don’t doubt the quality of the ingredients, which are claimed to be extremely high, but while I like it, something is missing to justify the price. It’s basically a savoury, animalic oud with flowers where rose reigns supreme. I enjoyed it, but I feel it lacks depth and a distinctive touch. Unisex, ideal for cold or very cold climates. It performs well, elegant above all, for moments with at least a minimum of formality, yet the price is very steep. Good yes, but the price conditions it too much.
