This version is very pleasant; my wife wears it. It’s softer and less sweet than the original. Notes of star anise and rose, but the blend of the four notes makes it a delight for daily wear, very feminine.

  • This version smells fantastic; my partner wears it. It is much softer and less sweet than the original. The notes that stand out most are star anise and rose, but the blend of the four declared notes makes it a delight for everyday wear and very feminine.

  • I smell sweet roses with a mentholated touch. It’s sexy, fun, fresh, clean, and feminine. It lasts well and projects strongly; just two sprays suffice. Ideal for outings, parties, or evening gatherings in any season. Yes, I’d buy it again; it’s worth it. Very well indeed, Givenchy!

  • I detect sweet roses with a mentholated touch. It seems sexy, fun, fresh, clean, and quite feminine. It has good longevity and projects enough to be noticed, so just two applications suffice. When would I wear it? To go out with friends, parties, or gatherings, in the afternoon or evening, in spring, autumn, or winter. Would I buy it again? Yes, it is worth it. Very well done, Givenchy!

  • I adore Givenchy but was disappointed; I sought the Eau Parfum or Collector versions but they weren’t available. It pleased me at the counter, yet at home it neither lasts nor projects. You’ve let me down, dear Givenchy.

  • Poor longevity: strong anise first, then rose, but no patchouli. If I rub my nose, I might catch it hours later. A fresh floral for spring days; not my favourite due to the unpleasant anise; I prefer sweet and fruity scents.

  • I’m not a rose fan, but here the note didn’t bother me; the star anise softens it. A fresh, delightful floral with a trail.

  • La plus belle

One of Givenchy’s finest classics to feel like a movie star; a bold, sparkling floral ideal for spring and summer.

It has an anise scent that turns out to be overwhelming; it is nice at first, but then I find it very irritating.

  • I liked it. Very similar to the EdP Sensual. On my skin it does last; I wore it last night and it still smelled of vanilla and/or anise by noon. I definitely prefer its scent during the first 6 hours. I’m not sure if the longevity is due to the tropical heat or my pH. It has the essence of the Very Irresistible.

  • A very delicate perfume. It’s a pity its longevity is so short. The roses and anise are its standout features. I love Givenchy perfumes, but this one doesn’t last long.

  • I was pleasantly surprised; it has a strange opening, bitter rose and mentholated floral. I am not a fan of rose, but over time it becomes sweet, like vanilla, even though I do not wear it, and it smells exquisite. It has good projection, more than six hours on the skin; it has the DNA of Hot Couture, which I love so much, which is why I was surprised. I like it for this heat and for everyday wear. 7/10.

I love it; I like it more than the EdP. It’s more sparkling and versatile. Basically, it’s a very sensual rose accompanied by anise and patchouli. Few notes achieve a fragrance so delicious, sexy, youthful and suitable for any occasion.

The most versatile of the Very Irresistible range. When I smell it on a woman, I’m immersed in a rose garden and it puts me in a good mood. Unlike the EdP, it’s not so sensual; I simply enjoy it and it gives pleasure. That anise rose is very long-lasting, although its projection is moderate, which gives it distinction. It suits any weather except extreme heat and any occasion except a nightclub. It makes a woman of any age look more interesting. A colleague uses it at least twice a week and it suits her perfectly. I gave it to my wife and she doesn’t like it as much; she prefers gourmands; I think she applies it just to please me. I’m surprised LVMH hasn’t reformulated it much, although they say the longevity has dropped; in my experience I don’t notice that change.

It was my first love and my first imported perfume. It’s beautiful, feminine and sensual, with delicious roses. The reality is it doesn’t last long and here in Argentina the price is very high for an EDT. Perhaps I’ll return to it one day; for now I remember it with affection.

At first it smells strong, almost foul, but then it transforms into a very pleasant and balanced sweet citrus floral. It lasts about 6 or 7 hours on me. I recommend it for autumn and winter; in summer it can feel heavy.

I do not understand why people talk about differences between versions; it is exactly the same, folks. The bottle no longer has a gradient and the box is not metallic, nothing more. It is one of my favourites; I have had both and can assure you they are identical. I choose it for special occasions; it always puts a smile on my face. I feel beautiful and grown-up, perhaps because it is the style of a professional in a suit: formal yet distinguished, elegant, sensual but not sexy, with a youthful touch, nothing like a grandmother. Yes, it must be used with moderation; if you apply too much, it smells bad and suffocates, becoming saturated. To enjoy it to the maximum, apply a little and reapply; it lasts a very long time and has a good trail. It is true that it smells of rose, but it is not the typical supermarket cologne rose; you have to try it. It has many detractors who call it ‘ordinary’, ‘synthetic’, or ‘suffocating’; I do not know what perfume that sort of person likes, but it has been on the market for nearly two decades.

It’s one of my favourites, it puts a smile on my face and makes me feel adult and professional, distinguished yet with a youthful touch. It needs to be used in moderation because if you apply too much it becomes suffocating. A little goes a long way and reapplying is the key. It lasts a long time and has good sillage. Yes, it smells of rose, but not like typical cheap cologne. Many people find it ordinary or synthetic, but it’s been on the market for nearly 20 years for a reason.

A fragrance I used in my youth and repurchased some time ago. It hasn’t changed a bit: it’s sparkling, cheerful and versatile. Men have complimented it on me many times. On my skin it lasts more than 12 hours, which is impressive!

  • I bought this in my twenties and picked it up again at 44; it remains fine, elegant and feminine. It smells of fresh roses and clean musk that leaves you feeling polished. It’s incredibly long-lasting, almost like an extrait de parfum, and I recommend buying it blind.
