Yellow Diamond Intense by Versace

Ugh, it’s completely obsessed me. I’ve tried similar ones, but none match this bergamot: citrusy, persistent, and sharp, wrapped in white flowers. It doesn’t sting like others that burn my nostrils; here it’s crisp and dry. It can be intense or not to everyone’s taste, but it has hooked me. Try it before buying; it might steal your heart.

Lovely… I feel very comfortable with it. It has the freshness and sweetness that spring and summer need. At first, I resisted, but the truth is, I adore it. The opening is a bit spicy, like when you cut a lemon, just like with Bright Cristal. Then fruits and flowers emerge. The dry-down is exquisite: creamy, floral, yellow, with notes of orange and a hint of mimosa. I like it because it’s different from others. It has captivated me. I like the normal Yellow, but not as much as this one.

It was the first perfume my father gave me. I adore its longevity on my skin and its fresh scent. Bergamot dominates at the start, and just after, the orange blossom, freesia, and amber unfold harmoniously, leaving a pleasant sensation.

I absolutely love it; it’s one of my favourites because it’s strong. I wash my clothes and the scent lingers. It’s quite citrusy and woody. It’s generated several compliments.

It’s a fresh and sweet fragrance; pear, freesia, and musk dominate. I prefer this Intense version over the Yellow Diamond, as Intense has better longevity. The downside is that I don’t like powdery fragrances, and although it’s not formally powdery, it feels that way after a few minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price; there are richer options with better performance on the skin. The bottle is beautiful.

The same thing happened to me as another user. I tried it several times in freeshops, and then, when I bought it, don’t ask me why, but I hated it. I couldn’t use it any more; it disgusts me and gives me a feeling of suffocation… I still have it but only use it once every three months. It’s not ugly, but I don’t like it. I wouldn’t buy it again.

It resembles Yellow Diamond but doesn’t hook me; despite sharing a name, they feel distinctly different and have little in common. I miss the Italian lemon and mimosa notes terribly. This isn’t bad, but since the original already won me over, there’s no going back. I’ll use the Intense from time to time, but without love or dislike; I doubt I’ll repeat it.

Decided to buy it after trying the regular version, but the Intense left me speechless. It lasts all day, and on my skin the bergamot and orange blossom truly shine.

It’s a floral that brings back memories of the 90s: pleasant but without a hook. Nothing sensual, just a classic. The bottle looks ugly, with that disproportionate cap, just like the Crystal Noirs. I wouldn’t buy it again. In Argentina, there’s an identical one by designer Gino Bogani that smells just as good, if not better, with better longevity. Its notes are jasmine, tuberose, roses, orange blossom, and vetiver; it opens with pear, apple, and green; then neroli, gardenia, and iris; and finishes with vetiver, musk, and cashmere. My boyfriend loves it. What a pity it hasn’t been added to Fragrantica like other local perfumes.

It’s gorgeous, evoking warmth and sensuality at the same time. You don’t go unnoticed; compliments come in bulk. I love it.

I tried it several times in stores and liked it, but when I finally bought it and wore it for the first time, it was absolute hate. It’s not refined or fresh; it’s coarse and heavy. It’s citrusy yet sweet, an unpleasant mix. The cider note with woodiness, flowers, and some ‘unknown’ factor gives me a headache and stuffs up my nose. I would have loved to smell more pear, but I think it’s overshadowed. It lives up to its name ‘Intense’ because it certainly is; one whiff makes me dizzy. It’s a scent I wouldn’t repeat and nowadays I struggle to wear it.
