Of all the designer perfumes I’ve used, this has by far more projection and longevity, even compared to several niche fragrances. Very masculine, pleasant and spicy. Indeed, it lacks the ambroxan of the previous ones, but believe me, it’s worth the investment 100%. Buy the 100ml version. Ideal for gentlemen on special occasions.

  • A bomb in terms of longevity and sillage. My batch is from 2024 and it lingers on the skin even after a shower, and on clothes until I wash them. The scent after coming out is spectacular. Definitely not for young people; it’s for romantic dates or formal gatherings, so usage isn’t very varied. However, I’d buy it again with my eyes closed.

  • I’m not a fan of Sauvage EDP, but this one was horrible to me. I don’t know what it is, but I asked my partner to wash their arm because I couldn’t stand it anymore. If you like it, longevity and sillage are excellent, but I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • My nose and my friends’ don’t appreciate what others see. I disliked it greatly at first; it gives me nausea and makes me feel sick. It’s excessively strong. Longevity is good and justifies the price somewhat, but the scent itself is very unpleasant to me.

  • My signature fragrance for going out at night. Adult aroma, super masculine and elegant. Longevity is enormous. I wouldn’t wear it on a date unless using just a few sprays, as it smells very strong. People love it and it lasts all night. 100% recommended, safe purchase.

  • Look, don’t listen to TikTok. Does it smell good? Yes. Should you buy it? Only if you want to smell like a 40-year-old gentleman at a meeting. If you’re under 26, look elsewhere, honestly.

Not a big deal. It’s a good scent, but expensive for what it offers. It doesn’t clash, lacks presence, smells good and that’s it. Few occasions: cold, formal or evening. It’s quite overhyped, and given the price and negatives, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you love it or are buying blindly with deep pockets.

  • Smells good, but it’s for cold weather or night outs. At work, just two sprays. It’s for men aged 30 and up; the perfume suits the person, not for children. If you’re looking for something serious and masculine, this is your option.

  • To those who hate the name Sauvage on the bottle, don’t be mistaken: this is another story. I hated it at first, but on the skin I went crazy. Yes, it’s expensive, but there are niche fragrances that are more expensive and not worth it; this one is. It has a licorice note and projects a unique scent that people love so much they even copy it. Try it in-store; many hate it because of the name and miss a gem. 10/10 for cold weather or chilly nights. Wish it performed like the first flankers, but it doesn’t fall short.

  • The first time I didn’t like it at all, I was just getting into perfumery. Years later I tried it again and it drove me crazy: delicious, adult, formal, strong and present. The downside: the price and versatility. In Argentina it costs $480,000 ($330), which is excessive. I don’t see it for any occasion, nor should you wear much of it.

  • The best Sauvage, without a doubt. You only notice its density on the skin; it starts strong but then blooms into something clean, warm and elegant. Versatile for cool weather and well-dressed people, though best avoided in the heat. Some say it smells old, but it’s for adults, not f***boys. Two sprays last all day; I once wore it and it was still detectable in the car the next day. Brutal longevity and a safe buy if you like it.

  • Dior Sauvage Elixir 🌃👔 My god… what a piece of a fragrance. It’s pure masculinity: masculine, elegant, powerful and with a sexy magnetism that impacts instantly. The only reason I don’t own it is exclusivity: being part of the Sauvage family, I know many use it. Although the Elixir is less common, inevitably you’ll see it on more than one skin. Just try it to understand its success. I thought it would be the most intense Sauvage, but I received a slap of reality: it’s different, with its own identity and more sophisticated. From the first spray, deep spiced notes of nutmeg, animalic and mysterious air. Warm cocoa-like nuance, balanced by freshness that keeps it vibrant. Irresistible duality: dark and warm, but with a fresh edge so it’s not heavy. Strong, imposing, hypnotic. It conveys luxury and masculinity without vulgarity. Not aromatic or citrusy like the original, but elegant, warm, spiced and mineral. Brutal performance: over 24 hours on skin, days on clothes, potent projection and enveloping sillage. One of the most durable and noticeable from Dior. Unequivocally nocturnal and formal occasion. Not for day, summer or sun. It shines at dinners, galas or parties. On a date it can be interesting for its spiced magnetism, not for being sweet. I don’t recommend buying blind; it’s easy to find, better to test. Although it’s accessible enough to risk it, its intense character may not suit everyone. In summary: exceptional launch, masculine, elegant, mysterious and with monstrous performance. Its only flaw is the lack of exclusivity, but it’s a modern masterpiece proving Dior still innovates. Scent: 9.7, Originality: 10, Sillage: 9.5, Projection: 9.8, Longevity: 10, Versatility: 6, Formality: Formal.

Bought in December 2022, known it for nearly three years. It is one of the most complex designer constructions today. It changes drastically; it’s not flat, it’s dual or three-dimensional. Young people say it smells weird, like an old man or shaving foam, and they’re right at the start: for 20-30 minutes it’s that classic fougère from the 70s and 80s, barbershop masculine with grapefruit, cardamom and lavender. Then the spices appear, vetiver and nutmeg, softening towards the base: amber, sandalwood, sweet patchouli and licorice which sounds to me like velvety, creamy lactonic vanilla. The transition is impactful; they seem like two different fragrances. At the start, rough, wild, John McClane type or mullet with a beard, totally masculine and strident. In the dry-down, a 180-degree turn: modern, exquisite, elegant, with that creaminess that no Arab imitation achieves. For me, it’s fantastic for that duality. It’s the opposite of the elegant colleague who gets drunk and loses decorum; here it starts fulminant and shouting masculinity, and concludes refined and soft. I love that scandalous vintage part and the elegant turn. Incomprehensible that they say it lacks presence. I bought a 2022 batch of 100ml, half remains, it’s potent and long-lasting.

Dior Sauvage Elixir stands out wherever it goes. On another level than its massified predecessors. It radiates masculinity, security and maturity. Intense opening with nutmeg, cinnamon and acidic grapefruit. Ephemeral lavender, moving to ambered licorice that marks its character. Seductive and masculine, not for daily wear nor for all ages. It radiates maturity and presence.

  • Dior Sauvage Elixir is a statement of presence: potent, refined and with a magnetic aura. It conveys security, elegance and intensity from the first spray. Spiced opening with cinnamon, nutmeg and spicy lavender which can be aggressive at first; the grapefruit gives it brightness. The heart softens the lavender, making it warm, with a sweet and sensual amber. The dry-down reveals the balsamic woody base, deep and elegant. Sophisticated, ideal for autumn and winter. Not for everyone, it requires time. For me, after several uses, I found that unique charm. Beastly performance: over 10 hours on skin, potent projection for 4-5 hours and on clothes it lasts weeks. Top, imposing and elegant. Rating: 9.5.

  • POWER IN A BOTTLE. I’ve had this for a year and it is VERY intense. The opening is curious: spicy with peculiar lavender, then shifts to a delicious blend of cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon, all embraced by lavender. The longevity is brutal; it’s still detectable the next day where I sat, slept or hugged someone. Two sprays fill the room; at a friend’s house I had to open the window and turn on the heater. It is VERY strong. Maximum three sprays. It’s masculine, distinctive and polarising. If you overdo it, it causes olfactory fatigue and headaches. Test it on skin first. Worn well, it’s a table-thumping statement that demands attention and leaves a legacy. Scent: 10, Longevity: 10, Projection: 10, Total: 10.

  • Torresparfum

Exquisite. Many say it’s for older people, but it’s classic, not old, but rather about the knowledge of how to wear it. In the heat, when I start walking and stop suddenly, I get a lavender scent that I love, even though it’s in the heart; after two minutes it’s in perfect harmony.

  • Samirabdala

What a gem! Call me crazy, but the dry-down is 95% identical to Dior Homme Sport. You can really smell the citrus, that typical orange note from DHS.

  • Testing it with a single spray on the hand reveals it’s a beast. It needs to be worn with character and confidence; nothing informal. People say it smells old, but there’s a difference between smelling old and smelling formal; this is formal. Not very versatile, but if you catch it on your first sniff, it’s yours.

  • Bought it in 2025, nearly new (April 2021), for a ludicrous price. I’ve used it about eight or nine times and then put it away. They sold it to me for $80 (a gift), whereas in Uruguay 60ml costs $300. It’s a good fragrance, but not quite as much as the Beast Mode hype suggests; on my skin, with four sprays, it lasts six to eight hours. If you like mature scents, it’s top tier, but if you’re not familiar with that style, don’t splash out that kind of money. It’s the richest in the Sauvage line, but if you can afford $300, you’d be better off going for niche alternatives like Piantino or Lorenzo Pazzaglia.

It is a perfume from the gods of Olympus, there is no more debate or explanation. If you can, buy it.

  • Designer category. Strong, very spiced, and with that lavender well present. It distils elegance and is more ‘adult’. It has considerable longevity and sillage. It is a great perfume; perhaps its sin is the price and its lack of versatility.

  • It is incredible, but difficult if you are young. Spiced, rich, with a brutal opening and a dry-down far from the EDT. I feel that after a while it becomes more mature. I will layer it with the EDT to see if I can maintain the freshness of the EDT with the spiciness of the Elixir.

  • SygmaSergio

Without a doubt, it is the most potent perfume in my entire collection. EVERY time I wear it, someone tells me how good I smell. It is a bomb; you can easily fill a room, and it lasts days and days on clothes. It is a potent blend of iris, lavender, and spices, masculine and aimed at adults, nothing juvenile. If your perfumes are Stronger With You or One Million, I do not recommend this without smelling it first. Longevity 10/10. Sillage 10/10. With 10 sprays you can easily smell and project for 24 hours. Price, 9/10 because 50 ml cost more than 100 euros.

  • This is exactly as it has been: the finest version of the Sauvage line. In my opinion, it has greater longevity and a stronger emphasis on the notes; it is a scent somewhat different from everything else out there. The price is high due to its niche-style composition. I only see it for gentlemen aged 25 to 45, though that is relative. It is for casual and formal wear, nothing sporty, quite masculine. Although I know it will cause doubts, to me it smells a bit like Amouage Interlude Woman in the opening with the spices. It lasts quite a while and projects well, emitting quality. It is quite original; it is not an aroma for me, as I prefer the original EDT; it is spiced and semi-sweet with touches of smoked wood. Totally worth trying before buying, but I recommend it.

  • From my perspective (which is very limited), it is the best designer commercial fragrance available on the market.

  • The potency and masculinity are driven by a predominance of cardamom, licorice, and patchouli. Its longevity is superior, and although I feel the ambroxan added more timeless luxury and masculinity, it is not a reason to put this beast aside. Note: this is for those over 30 and dressed in smart-casual or better.

  • Diego Bronson

Elegant and masculine, this fragrance clearly evokes the classic gentleman-of-the-parlour profile. It smells of maturity and is exquisite in its composition: complex, very potent, and long-lasting; so much so that it can cause headaches. I do not recommend more than three sprays; it is eternal.

  • I bought it in 60ml format. Unlike what I saw in the perfumery with the others, where people made faces of disgust when smelling them, I actually liked it. I agree with many that it’s a modern fougère. I can’t quite describe exactly what it smells like, but it reminds me of lavender that Chuck Norris would distil after punching a Maghrebi in a souk. As you can imagine, how long it lasts; over 12 hours on skin and between 100 and 500 years on clothes. Ideal perfume for Meetic dates; Tinder is out of the question.

  • Quite heavy; not a buy blind, I recommend trying it several times. A perfume with personality and maturity, quite spicy with amber, giving it a brutal projection and development. If you overdo it, it can become overwhelming, even clothes can smell after the wash. It’s one of the few heavy colognes that can be flexible in winter or autumn if you control it.

I have heard that Dior Sauvage Elixir was reformulated at the end of 2025; has anyone here tried both the old and the new?

  • Definitely it has changed; blind tests with people outside the fragrance world clearly note the difference between an old batch and this 2025 one. The opening is much less potent and the longevity is shorter. During the dry-down it approaches the original. A pity.

  • Everyone is their own world. In my country, there’s an Indian restaurant with lamb dishes that are absolutely brutal, and this fragrance smells exactly like the sauce served with it. I can’t see myself smelling like lamb curry sauce all day long XD. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • Easy, my favourite in the Sauvage line and overall. For me, it’s a perfume I keep coming back to because it smells like special situations, elegance, or a date with someone special. A powerful yet pleasant scent.

  • A fantastic fragrance, very masculine. If going out to a special occasion had a smell, it would be this one.

  • juanbureba

Smells too strong and harsh; nothing pleasant for me. Perhaps it’s just because I’ve only heard nothing but praise for it.

  • Jesus2002fragances

A great perfume; to be honest, it smelled better when it first came out, now it smells different. The same goes for the others.
