The mature version of 1 Million is a discontinued gem that elevates the original DNA to a new level of sophistication. It smells opulent and dark with none of that youthful fizz. The dry-down is where it shines: a spicy blend of cardamom and cinnamon that merges with leather but the real star is a persistent rose that rounds everything off and makes it unisex. Sandalwood gives it a creamy long-lasting base. I think it’s perfect for women due to its bold warmth or for men seeking an elegant twist. It’s potent and rich ideal for cold nights or special occasions not for everyday wear. 8/10. What a pity it’s no longer available.

My wife loves when I wear it and at work people are constantly impressed; they even ask what I’m wearing. My female clients especially the younger ones look at me with a huge smile just from catching a whiff. It’s a great flanker of 1 Million. Recommended without hesitation; it’s a lie that it smells like a woman’s perfume as some say. You’ll like it and they will too.

First impression: I found it at a good price in 2023. At first it smelled like the traditional 1M but with an oriental twist—something dirty and spicy. Then to my surprise I realised it was the saffron and pepper. This one truly smells 100% like winter and something mature.

Super pleasant aroma. Fresh and spicy opening; the mandarin is noticeable but subtle at the start wrapped in dense spices that dominate the top notes. Even in the heart the spiciness remains with cinnamon marking the typical 1 Million character. There the rose and neroli appear in smaller quantities. A heavy powdery sensual rose plays a key role. In the dry-down leather enters to give it a rough character noticeable but not suffocating alongside sandalwood and patchouli. Very good longevity between 10 and 12 hours with a heavy trail. Recommended for cold nights and semi-formal occasions.

No review is needed because it’s already gone. Nothing to do with the classic 1M; this reminds me of the dry-down of Le Male and the middle notes of Guerlain’s Ideal. It’s quite feminine for super cold climates smelling like women’s makeup not masculine neither young nor old. Perhaps that’s why it’s discontinued; it never defined itself and I doubt anyone will buy it again unless it’s from H&M. In my case using roses isn’t for me; I don’t want to look ugly or be thought of as stealing my wife’s perfume or worse making her think I’m using hers. Nothing is lost.

More of the same. I’m tired of the 1 Million saga and its flankers. After ten years of using 1 Million and its derivatives I think it’s time to turn the page on the ‘1 Millonverse’ as I’m tired of it. Considering how mass-produced it is here in Argentina it’s not cheap. Moreover in 2021 it’s riddled with well-crafted imitations that have further massified it. It’s left for those who buy it out of nostalgia but in Argentina its cost is high and it’s discontinued. It was the last of the saga I bought and I’m closing this chapter in my collection as I’ll never miss it since it can be smelled almost everywhere in my city. It tries to detach from the DNA as a flanker but I’d be lying if I said those who smell it aren’t smelling something different from the 1 Millionverse. Scent: 4 (everyone has it whether original copy or flanker; prepare to smell like half the world). Price/Quality: 4. Longevity: 9. Projection: 9. Versatility: 4.

Does anyone know if this fragrance is still marketed in your country? In Panama it’s no longer available and as a replacement they offer the PRIVE which I don’t like. Any help please? Is it available in your home country?

  8. Very good aroma in my opinion better than One Million. I like to wear it when going out for a night in Madrid. Unfortunately it’s discontinued; I looked in France Germany Madrid and Belarus and everywhere got the same answer: Discontinued.

Paco Rabanne 1 Million Intense is a delicious fragrance with very good projection a One Million with a mature touch and less overwhelming. In my humble opinion the notes of mandarin saffron pepper and cardamom are not treated with the due understanding of their characteristics. In the heart a type of spicy neroli-cinnamon (quite strong) and in the base an enigmatic rose note. It is undoubtedly one of the richest orientals I have ever smelled with an exquisite trail. ‘1 Million Intense’ carries the theme of the pack leader with a discreet yet assertively strong fragrance although I repeat it’s not overwhelming; it’s a very rich enjoyable and to a certain extent elegant oriental. Does it remind you of the original One Million? Yes. Is it a unique fragrance? No. I think among the ‘one millions’ this would be my favourite just slightly ahead of the O.M Prive.

This fragrance is simply exquisite. The notes are beautifully blended and, without a doubt, it outshines the original 1 Million. The quality is immediately noticeable on the first sniff. The touch of rose adds both delicacy and refinement. Its trail is potent, ideal for cold weather and party settings. The longevity is exceptional; on my skin, it lasts up to 10 hours without issue. Totally recommended. My final rating is a solid 9.

  11. I have been wearing this perfume for a while now. The opening is strong and smells somewhat medicinal, though I can’t quite place the remedy… In this edition of One Million, it seems to rely almost entirely on rose, is it overused? Quite a bit, but that doesn’t matter to me. I see other reviews comparing this to the classic… Personally, I prefer the original, though it comes down to taste; I believe the original has better projection. Although they are similar, what sets this apart is the Indian patchouli. To round it off, it’s a good fragrance for winter…. 7/10

Perhaps common, but it is a fragrance that will never go out of style.

1 Million Intense: a classic in perfumery improved and with more class. More elegant, with a more pleasant scent to the point of being among the best on the market; the rose gives it a unique touch that sets it apart from the traditional 1 Million. Whether for everyday wear or a special event, 1 Million Intense will always be an excellent option that won’t go unnoticed by others. It is and will remain one of the best and most long-lasting on the market.

  15. We could write a book about One Million and its ubiquity, but I’ll save you the hassle. One Million Intense is the best version of that legendary aroma; here they polish the shine and that brutal longevity that leaves everyone else in the dust. A total success that consolidates the fame of this bestseller.

“Gold Bars take the town” I love this flanker of the gold bars. Unlike the original, which is good, this gold bar has its own personality. Same DNA, but with a lot of “candy” added. As beto_ruiz says, the first few minutes are intense, then it becomes more bearable. I agree with Don K: despite being overused, if you like it, wear it. It is the sweetest bar I have tried, very, very sweet and lasts hours. A touch of tangerine and a hint of pepper. If you liked the rose and cinnamon blend in the original, it smells good here. Good trail, although the mother has more projection and meteoric longevity, especially on clothes. I don’t recommend it in heat and be careful with the happy trigger. It seems made for more mature people, but the scent has no age; if you like it, wear it. Ideal for parties, it withstands smoke and alcohol, and in the cold it works like a dream. Paco Rabanne’s gold bars have taken the town and the invasion continues. 8/10

“Gold Bars take the town” I really like this flanker of the gold bars. Unlike the original version, which is good, this beautiful golden ingot feels like it has its own soul. Same DNA, but with a huge amount of “candy” added. As my colleague beto_ruiz says, the first minutes are intense, then it becomes more bearable. I second my colleague Don K: it doesn’t matter if it’s massified; we can use it if we like it. It’s truly the sweetest bar I’ve ever felt, very, very sweet for several hours. A touch of mandarin and a little pepper. If I liked the combination of rose and cinnamon, it feels quite pleasant. Good trail, but the mother version feels more pronounced, and the longevity is meteoric, especially on clothes. I don’t recommend it in high temperatures and be careful with the happy trigger. I feel this version is aimed at a more mature audience, but what does it matter? The scent has no age; if you like it, wear it. Perfect for parties, it survives smoky and alcohol-filled places, and in the cold, it’s quite suitable. Paco Rabanne’s gold bars have taken the town, and the invasion seems set to continue for a long time. 8/10.

Out of pure curiosity, I tried this alternative to the infamous 1 Million, and aromatically, it gives me nothing unpleasant. It has a childish essence, with a touch of nobility and a sense of humour. Its name seems to refer to extra sweetness, as Intense could be a gourmand fragrance. The tangerine gives modesty to the original, and the dominance of the rose adds freshness and acidity (don’t be confused, it is still sweet). I think the lily and neroli were unnecessary, as they limit the pepper and make it watery, diffuse, and confusing. Inspired by the fascination with gold, they have further limited the dark spaces of their flashy packaging. It is an acceptable scent (I absolutely dislike the original, if that sounds strange), with beastly longevity and trail. What else? It’s for going out, it lasts a long time, women like it, blah blah blah… I like the smell (as much as cinnamon tea), but the concept still seems like a materialistic nonsense to me (I apologise).

When I heard there was an intense version of 1 Million, I wondered if it was necessary, as for me the regular was already intense, but I wanted to try it. The first few minutes are intense in sweetness, smelling of patchouli with caramel or burnt sugar; they were overwhelming, but I let it evolve. After about 30 minutes, it becomes more bearable and resembles the original more, with leather, cinnamon, rose, and a little pepper reigning. For those who love extra sweetness, it’s a great option; I prefer the regular, it has good longevity and projection above average. Obviously, I don’t recommend it in heat, as it can be very heavy for the wearer and the surroundings, but in cool or cold climates it works like a dream and in informal situations. I have seen that 1 Million appeals to both young and old people, but this version seems to lean slightly towards more mature individuals. Anyway, it’s my opinion: I recommend that everyone try it and draw their own conclusions.

When I heard there was an intense version of One Million, I wondered if it was necessary, as the regular one already seemed intense to me. I wanted to try it to see the differences. The first few minutes are truly intense in sweetness, smelling of patchouli with caramel or burnt sugar; for me, they were overwhelming, but I let it develop. After about 30 minutes, it becomes more bearable and resembles its predecessor more; leather, cinnamon, roses, and a hint of pepper return to reign. For those who love extra-sweet fragrances, it’s an excellent option; I prefer the regular version: it has very good longevity and the projection exceeds the average. Obviously, I don’t recommend using it in hot seasons; it can be very heavy for the wearer and their surroundings. In cool or cold climates, it works very well, as does in informal situations. I’ve seen that One Million appeals to both young and mature people, but I see this version as slightly more inclined towards the mature crowd. Anyway, that’s my perception: I recommend everyone tries it and draws their own conclusions.

Once dry, it smells like Eternity for Women due to that radiant rose, but the mystical, intoxicating patchouli steers it towards masculinity. It’s delicious, and although I know it’s trendy, my skin gives it a unique twist that no one can guess. Zaz!

  23. Apart from the massification, I think it’s a great perfume, far superior to the original One Million which I also owned. This version smells wonderful from start to finish; I think it’s very well crafted. I don’t judge any perfume by sales, packaging, or target audience, but by its aroma. If I didn’t do this, I’d miss great fragrances and only buy the exclusive stuff, which can be good or not. Scent 10/10, versatility 8/10, trail 8/10, longevity 8/10.

It’s an improved version of One Million: excellent trail, ideal for parties, and impactful. The only drawback is that it’s far too mass-produced.

An improved version of One Million. On my skin, it lasts longer than the original and smells richer. Both are excellent, but the downside is that they are far too mass-produced.

  27. I gifted it to my husband during a blind buy from a reputable online store, and it was a total hit. They say it’s trendy, but it suits him perfectly: it’s long-lasting, very masculine, sweet, and has a perfect touch of maturity for a 28-year-old.
