I picked this up yesterday at a crazy price and it’s an absolute gem; while I adore the original Amarige, this, with nearly the same DNA as Extravagance, smells sweeter, younger and much easier to wear. Good longevity and very wearable.
It’s spectacular. I believe it’s the cassia, mimosa and sandalwood that give it that delicious, soft scent; fresh from the cassia with a subtle sandalwood base that keeps it from being too woody. I’m hooked, it lasts for ages on my skin. I’m testing it in warm weather and will have to try it in cooler conditions to see how it performs.
Just added to my collection thanks to a clearance sale due to a store closure. In my humble opinion (I’m not an expert on notes), it has nothing to do with Amarige, mainly because the neroli stands out so much. Amarige D’Amour is younger, slightly green with a fruity touch and much lighter. But I’ve loved it very much.
